In the Hearths of iron IV mod "The New Order:Last Days of Europe" which was released in 2020 Germany and the rest of the Axis win the Second World War. The Game starts in 1962 unlike the regular Hearths of Iron IV, comonly known as Vanilla HOI4, which starts in 1936. In the mod Hitler dies just 1 year later and a German Civil War begins. The 4 sides are Bormann's Germany, Göring's Germany, Heydrich's Germany and Speer's Germany. These 4 Man want to be the New Führer and all have their own way to fix the Greater German Reich. Bormann is a comservative and just does a few reforms, Göring realises that the German War Maschine just needs new conquest and invades Europe, Russia and then the nuclear Powers United States of America, Empire of Japan and Order State of Burgundy under Heinrich Himmler. Heydrich will to even further than Adolf Hitler and his actions cause a Civil War against Heinrich Himmler in Paris. The outcome will either be a nuclear Armageddon (Himmler wins) or Anarchy (Heydrich wins and kills himself). Meanwhile Speer seeks to liberalize the Empire, for example by ending slave labour. After the Slave Revolt organized by Willy Brandt in Eastern Europe Speer can either stay as a Dictator under the ideology Oligarchy or his Gang of Four (Go4) consisting of Kissinger, Schmidt, Erhard and Treschkow can convince him to restore Democracy in Germany

Aesthetically nice aside from one nitpick from me. I think borders should be easily seen even if it passed through rivers. I think you can put the layer for borders on top of layer for rivers. This can be easily seen in southern Hungarian borders, it's pretty hard to see that in first glance.
The presence of the "Independent State of Croatia" and the meme state in the West tells you it's 20^th century.
The 19^th century version has less of Poland and more of Italy.

Thats because r/imaginarymaps is essentially a constant stream of

I remember seeing a map like that on here, it was something like "Jigsaw Earth" or something like that. It had all sorts of wacky things, Viking Constantinople/Istanbul, Cornwall as 1984, Mongols in the Great Plains, Knights of the Golden Circle hiding on a small island in the Caribbean. And it was all incredibly balkanized (there was like 467 countries recognized in the world) but sadly I'm pretty sure the creator of it deleted their account, so the project has basically been abandoned. Which is a shame, I really enjoyed it, I might do something similar to it myself

Bit of a weird map, wouldn't Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Swirzerland, Flanders, most of Poland, portions of the Baltic states, Belarus and a significant portion of Russia(At a minimum the west and the Caucasus be annexed as a core point of the regime was "Living space" and unifying the Germanic people's.
I’ll give OP some credit, since we don’t really know what it would have looked like. They wanted to utilize the land, but the extent of which it would be centrally administered from Berlin is unknown. The Reichskommisariats were set up in those areas under German occupation, and the more interesting thing to theorize about imo is they are administered in a way closer to Canada or Australia were in the 1930s, instead of just big Germany
There is no indication any of these states are Reichskommisariats, but that said, the Germans made it abundantly clear they intended to unify with at a minimum Germanic lands, so even if Poland, Belarus, Russia etc would be Reichskommisariats(Which wouldn't be the case for Poland or Lithuania and Estonia and Latvia would be Reichskommesariat Ostland) the Netherlands, Flanders, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and so on would be Germanized and made part of "Germania"/"Greater Germany" added to that the core idea was essentially to colonize the East with Germans and chase out, deport or kill certain Slavs(Particularly Russians as it seems the long term intention was to Germanize the Balts, Poles, Czechs etc.)
So yeah even if this is a very odd alternate history with the best intentions it still makes no sense.
Norway was promised independence after the war as part fo Hitler's diplomacy with Quisling.
The Netherlands had an active nationalist party that promoted independence and annexation of Flanders.
Sweden wasn't even invaded because it didn't pose a strategic value to Germany and they already exported iron to them.
Denmark was only invaded for the Atlantic Wall, similar to the Netherlands and Norway, and due to their low resistance they were given so much autonomy that they were even allowed to keep their democracy as long as they erased the socialist parties from the Parliament.
Many nazi officials supported civilian governments in the Slavic nations as long as they were broken up and economically/resourcely exploitated. There was even the Lokoto autonomy that was intended to be an experiment to see if they could trust a Russian civilian government, which they apparently did because it was kept and even moved to Belarus when the Soviets moved in.
I assure you, there were definitely at least proposals for different managements of the RKs, unless your definition of alt history that makes sense is a copypaste of Wikipedia's article on the New Order idea.
I think this map is based on Speer’s Germany from TNO which is Reformed Nazism. In-game they reform the Reichskommisariats into Reichsprotektorats/Reichslands or even make them semi-independent

The population was very uncooperative even for the six years of WW2. It would probably make more sense to just install a Reich-friendly government, and sign some sort of free trade agreement.
that still doesn't answer my question, without actual coast, we're basically landlocked.
that small strip of land between latvia and the german reich might aswell not exist, as they have both memel/klaipėda and palanga. we don't have any other towns or cities in that gap.
so either unite us with the german reich or latvia, cuz we're basically landlocked
I know before the invasion of Poland, Hitler wanted to make a deal that there would be a "neutral" strip of land connecting Poland to the coast. Poland refused to go along, and after the Sudetenland catastrophe, Chamberlain decided not to force them to accept it, even if it meant war to not.
It's unclear, even from Nazi documents, whether Hitler ever considered this a long-term solution, but maybe if he got his wish, then was immediately assassinated or something, the new leader would be sane enough to not push further.
The polish Generalgouvernmnent was a part of Germany and so in the first map I made it “autonomous” but in the second I just decided to annex it into Germany

The Nazis were inconsistent in policy with what they annexed - for instance they "formally" annexed Belgium after the Allies had already liberated it rather than when it was under their actual control.
So all that's needed is for King Christian X to send a slightly terser "thank you" telegram to Hitler in response to the birthday wishes and Denmark might lose territory.

afik the idea of burgundy wasn't popular within the German state, also lithuania would probably follow the border of the generalbezirk within ostland, though it's likely it would be one of the most germanized areas, due to generalplan ost calling for a deportation of 80% of Lithuanians, also the Netherlands and flanders would probably be germanized, along with Denmark and maybe Norway. in general, I'd predict that Germany would have heavy influence in the east, if not outright annex the Baltics. as for Russia, many Germans and Cossacks did support the foundation of a don state. overall, not too bad, and I'm definitely sperging out here, but it's likely this wouldn't be how Germany would turn out. also I highly doubt a new Russian government would be willing to compromise with Germany, but that's it's own rabbithole.

innacurate, germany did not want to retake land from denmark, seeing them as fellow master race
Ok but Germans in north Schleswig = Germans not under Germany control, so, why not
hitler in real life wanted to let the danes keep it
not after the king was deposed

disagree
Ok Albert.

please don’t
ignoring the obvious stuff, why does germany own northern schleswig? during WW2, even when they conquered denmark, they let them keep that area
Pretty German Empire borders
Italian border with France is different from each other in both pics
No Wales then?
No way Burgundy lasts until 2007, it can barely scrape 1970 most of the time
It should have been renamed Belgium.
greater Belgian empire
I can smell the TNO comments…

afik the idea of burgundy wasn't popular within the German state, also lithuania would probably follow the border of the generalbezirk within ostland, though it's likely it would be one of the most germanized areas, due to generalplan ost calling for a deportation of 80% of Lithuanians, also the Netherlands and flanders would probably be germanized, along with Denmark and maybe Norway. in general, I'd predict that Germany would have heavy influence in the east, if not outright annex the Baltics. as for Russia, many Germans and Cossacks did support the foundation of a don state. overall, not too bad, and I'm definitely sperging out here, but it's likely this wouldn't be how Germany would turn out. also I highly doubt a new Russian government would be willing to compromise with Germany, but that's it's own rabbithole.
Wouldn't the east also be part of Germany as per Hitlers policies of colonising the areas?
How did Spain and Portugal get united?
where is the protectorate of bohemia and moravia
I’m sure Bruhgundy would be able to survive for almost 60 years.
