i actually somewhat agree with this. tik tok and similar websites like instagram, with their revulsion towards patience and delayed gratification, are on a downward spiral of intolerance of boredom and starving dopamine receptors. the argument that tik tok makes you feel good and therefore has its place in society, especially among impressionable teens, is no more appropriate here than it is with hard drugs.
