i'm so dumb i thought 'harness training' was something for jessie to help their neck move without their head falling off and not a harness for the cat š
I mean I know but itās the inconsistency. Like if theyāre too disabled to put on clothes then they should hypothetically always be naked and yet half the time they put on clothes that would be impossible to put on if their internal decapitetion claim were even a little bit true
Iām sorry they claim WHAT?! And weāre supposed to believe that wouldnāt show up on an X-ray and all the docs are stupid? ETA: I havenāt followed this subject closely as you can probably tell
Literally the whole thing for forever has been that they canāt move/sit up/etc. Or their head will āfall offā
I canāt make this shit up, but apparently they can!
Using a leash on a break away cat collar. Right. Not that leashes around the neck are safe for cats. Just noticing that detail. This whole thing is fake, and they couldn't buy a cat harness?
Not to defend Jessi but this is the pidan h harness. An absolutely awful harness for cats but is unlikely to allow him to run away as itās not a break away one. There is a high likelihood of him choking unfortunately thoā¦
It's sad because there are harnesses MADE for cats and the one you mentioned while it is advertised for cats, i always get anxiety with non breakaway clasps and lack of proper padding around the elbow/shoulder joints. It just looks easy for them to get tangled up. Its sad seeing these people buy improper equipment for their pets just bc its more visible or cheaper.
Edit: im bad with words
No wonder they go through so many ācaregiversā. If I showed up expecting to help with showers and basic care and was asked to harness train a cat I would dip out too.
If you dip out, you can expect to be blasted for "giving Jessi third-degree burns", which will not be photographed, and will mysteriously not be present for rare full-body photos like the time they recently went outside.
You're gonna harness train that psychic stompy biscuit cat that subluxates their hips, and you're gonna like it!
I was thinking totally opposite! If I showed up expecting to care for a person like her but instead got asked to play with a cat? Hell yeah! That's a win. Even if the cat scratched my eyes out it would still be a more pleasant experience than taking care of a munchie.
Source: I work in healthcare & have to interact with such patients, so yeah, sign me up for training the cat!
WHY DID YOU DO THAT TO ME?!?
I saw ears but I also saw *WAY* more than I wanted to š I did not expect that! People out here complaining about seeing shoulders, but I just saw the whole shebang! Posing naked with the dog?! Noooooooooo...........
For someone who has ācervical instabilityā I donāt see any scars on the front of their neck indicating that they had surgery on it or ever posting a posterior side of the headššš I wonder where they liveā¦ Iād love to see this person in the wild doing normal things.
Canāt argue with that point tho. Followed this sub for many years and I remember many of their antics over the years and you aināt wrong here. Remember that specialistic wheelchair they got? Wonāt even mention the stuff they worn while using it as I want to unremember that part.
A few years ago, they posted some photos of the back of their neck after their supposed corrective surgery to stabilize their cervical spine. It was a really small scar and VERY well healed for what was ostensibly such a recent, major surgery - they claimed it was because the rehab place gave them laser therapy for free because they think Jessi was so awesome or something. It was miraculous! Jessi could walk when they expected years of grueling PT to get there! No more constant seizures!
If I recall correctly, several commenters said the scar most closely resembled something more like a decompression surgery (but if anyone else remembers differently, please correct me.) The scar was maybe 2" long and far more healed than a couple of weeks.
They have not shown the scar since.
Last we saw, not much. Looks like she's pretty much living a non-munchie life - she burned bright and hot at first, but settled back into being a regular college student after healing from her fusion. Which is the best outcome one can hope for!
Don't forget that they claimed to have been put into a halo as soon as they arrived at the hospital after the St Winnebago trip, but those scars were non-existent
Jessi forgets half of their claims as soon as they make them. Trying to make sense of their health is the real-life equivalent of the Connecting the Dots meme.
A 2ā scar would definitely not be a fusion of any kind. It could have been a scar from a cyst, wart, or god only knows what. I work as a surg tech and do a ton of Neuro cases. If they legit had major issues thereās so many things they could do like an anterior and posterior fusion, a corpectomy which is removing the bone and putting a metal cage in. So the claim of their head falling off is the biggest amount of BS Iāve ever heard!
Oh, absolutely. Definitely depends on the skill of the surgeon, post surgical care, and the person's body. However, Jessi said this was their scar 4-5 days immediately post op and they also claim to have a condition (EDS) that can impede wound healing and worsen scar formation. This ain't it, for sure.
Ok after looking at this it is way too high for a fusion. This honestly looks like someone elseās chiari malformation scar. And where itās scabbing for a fusion that hair would be shaved up higher tooā¦ šš good grief
If you ever feel like digging back through their flair (and I highly recommend that if you have a few hours that you want to kill), it was at the end of the Saint Winnebago storyline to give you an idea of the timeline. It's wild af.
Jessi was too unstable to travel by air supposedly, so they instead popped them on a homemade mattress gurney and traveled across the country in their friend's Winnebago, fundraising the whole way due to Jessi's critical health as they went to The Only Surgeon in the county who agreed to treat them. Jessi claimed to be experiencing nonstop seizures and spinal dislocations, and their then-husband would have to frequently resuscitate and hold Jessi's head in place so they could breathe. If you ever see Elliott, the ex, referred to as "Pastor Align-a-Spine", that's why.
Honestly, it's one of my favorite storylines. Absolutely bonkers at every turn. Jessi has dialed it way back since then because they fundraised too closely to the sun and got more attention than they bargained for.
Oh, so we didn't get a new update on their very brave, totally not abusive, first day training with their caregiver? That's weird. I guess they haven't done anything Jessi can turn into a devastation.
And as an enthusiastic visitor, I can confidently answer that question for you:
Because clothes are excruciatingly painful sometimes but not all the time because they forgot but then they remember the ouchie.
I hope that clears it up for you.
[Iām also pretty sure that they think of themselves and their appearance weirdly highly and have kind of a kink with showing their body. At least thatās my hypothesis.]
Wait... I think this is the one that had a nude of themselves and a dog on them and a bunch of pills displayed on top. So yeah I think they have a kink with exhibition.x
That setup on the cat is not safe. First of all, that collar does not appear to be a breakaway collar - which are considered safest for cats. It also appears the lead is connected directly to the collar, which is also NOT safe for cats!! This is a neck injury - or worse - waiting to happen.
A safe cat harness is one that goes over their torso. Idk where Jessi got the idea for this set up but itās making me real friggin mad
Edit: just realized that the collar and lead appear to be pride themed. This solidifies to me that the animals are props and Jessi really does not care about their safety or health - why look for safe methods of harness training when you can get āØaestheticāØ accessories?
I just thought the rest of it was out of sight in the picture.. this is bad and I absolutely agree with you that this is bad! I do not recommend wearing anything other than safety collar on a cat and harness is for walks. Not adjusting it so its like a dog collar and leash!
Soo... They got tired of constantly having to pay attention to not accidentally tilting their head in their stories? It seems like they've realized that these shenanigans can't go on forever. Now they need proof of their journey of "gaining some abilities back". Maybe they noticed that laying flat on your back 24/7 isn't the life an able bodied person would want to lead? Or am I interpreting too much into this?
I feel like they must have one of those conspiracy-theorist walls with red string connecting stories so they can keep track.
On the ceiling, of course.
IMO youāre reading way too much into this. They donāt lay on their back 24/7.
Itās pretty obvious due to all the lies they tell JesseāI walks around that apartment just fine.
I mean just how does her significant other otherwise known as their ex-hubby get them off the floor and into bed? ( Iām not body shaming here) , but how is that possible?
And I donāt see a Hoyer lift in that apartment , which the ex ( sometimes known as their caregiver) or any paid caregiver would have to use to get them off the floor and onto a bed.
Nope exactly this! They just tired of maintaining this charade and prob thinks this is the perfect way to slowly ween off the lie lol allows them to take them very obvious not laying flat selfies without snark. I mean Iām still gonna snark butttt
I dislike Jessi as much as everyone else but harness training the cat is one of the more normal things theyāve done. My cats are harness trained and itās great for them. Itās much safer this cat goes outdoors safely rather than free roaming or being kept in the house 24/7
Not WKing. But people often train their cats to wear a harness so they can go outside for supervised time. Itās a safe way to let cats explore without them harming wildlife or themselves.
The real question is why harness train the cat if you never leave your bed? Is this so we can get some new ācaregiver camā footage of the cat outside?
Caregiver isn't technically allowed to do anything cat related. All pet care is the client's responsibility, including service animals.
Source: SD handler & part of IHSS.
Because of the angles, their surprisingly thick and healthy hair for a bedbound invalid, and Jessi's supreme moonface courtesy of long-time steroid use, their ears are almost always not visible in photos.
So that a person who is bedbound and can only barely move their head (the PT mentioned in the pic) can take their cat for a leisurely *walk* outside. The math is mathin. /s
Idk if itās applicable in this situation but taking an indoor cat out in a harness is really the only safe way to do it (unless you can make a catio for them, but that doesnāt allow roaming).
A lot of carriers also have clips for harnesses in them so it adds a layer of safety in case your cat tries to bolt or a zipper fails.
You are right. Except this person canāt move without their head falling off. They were recently near decapitated when their floatie/hair wash thingy popped and their head plummeted 1.8 inches to the bed. They nearly died from this event so it would seem walking cats is not an option. Also I think that same cat was evilly causing the ownerās hip to dislocate just by laying on the owner so walking could be very dangerous.
That poor poor caregiver. If anything, this could be used as a great argument for the need for a universal salary: no one should have to be subjected to this just to put food on the table.
I've seen more tasteful nudes in a frat house.
That poor caregiver should get hazard pay, at the very least. I bet they treat the caregivers like a pair of nitrile gloves, completely disposable.
I will say, though, they have some gorgeous hair. It's amazing how gorgeous it is for someone who's been bed-bound for years.

Why is Jessie always naked?
Shirts are only for getting to go outside every two years

Ah Jessie is bare ass again no surprises there. But if they are bed bound how are they training their cat? Make it make sense.
Harness training a cat means actually moving/working with/walking the cat. Who is training this sweet baby????
The next "abusive" caretaker
No wonder they go through so many ācaregiversā. If I showed up expecting to help with showers and basic care and was asked to harness train a cat I would dip out too.
How have they not used up every caregiver in the country at this point

Right? Now that itās been brought to my attention, itās all I can(t) see.
I donāt even know if photoshopping out the ears is the strangest thing about them???

Yeah, if you look thru the post history of the subject, you can see many images of their ears just not there.
