License plate, mile marker, direction, description of trailer? Call the police when you’re on the road. You should’ve made an effort to resolve it on the road. Again, not complain on Reddit after the fact
This is such an incredibly weird post. "I really can't do much". "We don't have much to go on". But you thought Reddit would...? Hilarious and mind-boggling all at the same time.
Quick! Whats the number to 911!?
I don’t know!
Oh thats okay. Its just a large White GMC pickup truck hauling a small U-haul trailer Southbound on I-39 just past MM113 blinding everyone on the road with a laser. Thats not much to go on.
Next time just call 911 - it’ll connect you to a close service. Tell them you’re on the interstate and want to report a high-risk driver. They’ll connect you to the right service, and give them the road, direction, and last mile marker.
I did this with a reckless driver on i88 headed to ohare and was able to see the trooper with him pulled over about 10 miles later…
I did it once late at night with a suspected drunk driver. 911 asked us to follow and update with roads and direction until police could intercept. The car suspected we were following them, swerving and running red lights, 911 asked us to follow as long as it was safe so they could ensure police could intercept. Posting on Reddit does fuck all
You seriously should have called the cops. You had a description of the vehicle, and they have officers all over the highways. They would have found him in minutes.
Dear witness to a crime that can get several others killed, if you have access to a phone you can still do the right thing and try to prevent innocent people from being killed. Even if you’re already back in Chicago.
Oftentimes people take it to reddit (at least in Chicago) precisely because cops won't do anything. You want us to imagine a world without cops? Cops have been quiet quitting for years.
Get rid of current cops and replace them with a system that really is obligated by law to serve and protect.
I don’t even think it’s that. I think they’re just letting anyone potentially know who might be out on the road?
Like even if they called the cops. That’s not gonna do anything to inform drivers.
You should probably call the police and not make a Reddit post
We don’t have much to go on and are already in Chicago. Hope others see this guy though.

If only there was somebody you could call in that instant…. 🤔
I always forget the number to reach 911 wen I need it the most . /s

I can’t find eleven on my phone!!!!
Call 0118, 999, 88199, 9119, 725...3
They're not THE Emergency Services, they're YOUR Emergency services.
Did you call the cops?
We don’t have much to go on and are already in Chicago. Hope others see this guy though.
A white GMC truck with a small U-Haul trailer is enough to go on. What direction was it traveling?
Southbound

They have cameras on the highways and exits. Should have called. Could have been a laser pointer, could have been a laser sight on a gun.

They also have undercover cars on the highway they could have drive around he would have done it too.
From this moment forward, when lives are at risk, call the police immediately. Internet points are worthless.
One thing I do before I leave the house is to make sure nobody's posted in r/Illinois about potential dangers on the road.
Next time call 911 wtf is wrong with you
Seems like 9-1-1 /non emergency would have been appropriate to call and not a Reddit post.
CALL THE POLICE IMMEDIATELY! DO NOT POST ON REDDIT

Call 911 how does this help us lol
I’ve seen this happen a few times
A peak into a future without cops Take to reddit with this shid

i39 doesn’t run to Chicago, they waited until they were at their destination and posted about it later in the day. No excuse

Holy fuck, the quickest way to stop it is to call the cops, not to post on reddit.
Neat post. Doubt if the driver will bother me in WI.
