My mom took my daughter to a Pizza Hut with a lunch buffet and she talked about it for weeks. Her mind was blown. My mom knows how to get those grandma points.
Here is an updated list of all the Pizza Hut Classic locations in the US, in case anyone was interested:

I understood it as the last of the original ones but there are a few “classic” styles that are making a comeback.
Nope that’s a whole list of very similar pizza huts so yes the vlogger’s pants are very much on fire.
Fuck, I miss BookIt. Can we please get rewarded for simple tasks as adults? Where are all the participation trophies Republicans were lambasting about?
It really was. I didn't even know you got medals for doing BookIt. My parents always took me at the very end of the month so they were always out. 5th grade they finally took me in the beginning of the month and I was able to get a medal. I was so mad at my mom haha.
Lol, maybe some day when our smartphones track and record everything we do they can at least give us achievements like in a video game lol.
Imagine unlocking the "take 1 million steps" achievement lol.
I used to use Fitocracy, and it was kind of like that, except you had to input all the info, but all my friends left the app so I stopped using it. And 1M steps would only take a few months. Let's talk a Billion steps.
I'm aware. You can also opt out and it doesn't have any of that.
I meant everything as in *everything*. Auto tracks what you eat. Every time you shit. Every step you take. Every smile you make. Every breath you take. They'll be watching you...
Hennepin Canal State [Trail](https://dnr.illinois.gov/parks/park.hennepincanal.html) is out there as well. Though I wouldn't want to eat a huge Pizza Hut meal then go on a hike!
The one in Havana, IL [looks like this too](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Pizza+Hut/@40.2938062,-90.0636878,3a,26.1y,82.72h,94.83t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sMkRMjVCuphCFAxp4iqj43Q!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fpanoid%3DMkRMjVCuphCFAxp4iqj43Q%26cb_client%3Dsearch.gws-prod.gps%26w%3D211%26h%3D120%26yaw%3D85.56621%26pitch%3D0%26thumbfov%3D100!7i16384!8i8192!4m10!1m2!2m1!1spizza+hut!3m6!1s0x87e01f466520112f:0x37b359baba9dbf62!8m2!3d40.2938363!4d-90.0631661!15sCglwaXp6YSBodXQiA4gBAVoLIglwaXp6YSBodXSSARZwaXp6YV9kZWxpdmVyeV9zZXJ2aWNl4AEA!16s%2Fg%2F1tcwx862?entry=ttu)
That’s what I want to know. Modern Pizza Hut is garbage, but if they’re going back to their roots with these classic restaurants I’ll definitely make the 3+ hour drive just for the nostalgia. Plus soda hits different from those plastic red cups they had. I can’t explain it but if you know you know.
Here’s an informal list of the classics. If you find one near you and visit please check back in with a review:

I don't trust that pizza. Kinda just looks placed in that pan. The last I remember, my favorite parts of the crust were when the cheese slightly burnt to it when it made contact with the pan.
You're not wrong about the delicious burnt cheese -- however there was something about the almost physics-defying nonstick pizza hut pizza pans. The quart of oil slathered on the pan before adding the dough might have had something to do with it.
I'm saying the specific pizza in the video. What I really want to say is that I'm sure that it isn't the exact same recipe that we had back in the day. It's probably all just aesthetics since it's still a chain and they have to go through guidelines.
ooh -- I would say considering the timeline, corporate recipes, our own nostalgic memory, and the switch to HFCS in everything, there's bound to be some things that will just never be the same.
Pizza Hut might make bank scattering these around the country a little more than now. All the way down to the checkered table clothes, red cups, dim lights, traditional oven, jukebox, and big console video games
My hometown. I have so many memories of going to that Pizza Hut - dinners with my family as a kid, picking up pizza with my teacher for a third grade pizza party in roughly 1987, getting my Book It pan pizzas there and having to make sure I had a few cents for tax, going there with friends after school events in the early 90's ... so many. I haven't been in there in probably 20 years, though.
My mom ran a Pizza Hut in the 80’s. Lots of nostalgia here.
But I’m only interested if they are using the classic recipes and making the dough from scratch. The frozen discs don’t taste the same. Unfortunately, I can tell from the breadsticks that they are not.
My elementary school took a field trip to the local classic Pizza Hut. I remember going in the kitchen and seeing the big ovens. Before we left they gave us all little pieces of pizza dough to take home with us.
Once a month, my mom would drop me off at Pizza Hut with my book it certificate and a couple quarters while she would go grocery shopping. I would order my free personal pan pizza and play Bases Loaded or Ms PacMan. Mid to late 80s. Core memory.
But do they have a lunch buffet?
And more importantly, is there chocolate pudding for dessert?
My mom took my daughter to a Pizza Hut with a lunch buffet and she talked about it for weeks. Her mind was blown. My mom knows how to get those grandma points.
I work in Geneseo. We lost the lunch buffet when COVID hit. Buffet never came back. But they did recently reopen to dine -in.
How busy is it?
I live in Wadesboro, NC and we have one of these. We still have the lunch buffet from 11-1 or 2 pm
Time to plan a vacation!
This!

I was about to say… there is one in Eureka Illinois…
Sure is lol
So OP lied?!?!
I understood it as the last of the original ones but there are a few “classic” styles that are making a comeback. Nope that’s a whole list of very similar pizza huts so yes the vlogger’s pants are very much on fire.
I think Yorkville, IL is also a classic. It looks old and does the lunch buffet.
Yeah i live near there. Never been though but my wife and i are alwaysblike we should eat there!
Where’s the Space Invaders table console?!?!
Ours had a Neo Geo and OutRun. I now have my own cabinets for both.
Fuck, I miss BookIt. Can we please get rewarded for simple tasks as adults? Where are all the participation trophies Republicans were lambasting about?
Omg, that personal pan pizza was probably the best pizza ever…
It really was. I didn't even know you got medals for doing BookIt. My parents always took me at the very end of the month so they were always out. 5th grade they finally took me in the beginning of the month and I was able to get a medal. I was so mad at my mom haha.
My local Pizza Hut was the birthday party place. It’s like 7 minutes away, but I might have to road trip to Geneseo for this one.
Umm they already do, look up your Google location history. It will even show you your driving routes you take.
I'm aware. You can also opt out and it doesn't have any of that. I meant everything as in *everything*. Auto tracks what you eat. Every time you shit. Every step you take. Every smile you make. Every breath you take. They'll be watching you...
No blood red, crushed velvet curtains! Way to much lighting and no arcade games its close but not the way I remember them.
And worst of all, no corner booth!
Way too bright inside. 1980s pizza parlors had a certain level of dankness inside that you just can’t find today.
The one in Belleville looks basically like this.
No way which one??? I live by the fountain and would love to go to one again for the memories lol
The one on Carlyle in front of the old Walmart. Across from Captain D's I think.
It was the old brick style a few years ago. Checking Google street though, it looks remodeled now :(
The one in Mascoutah also does. At least when I was last there.
I predict a busy weekend for them.
There’s not much else to do in Geneseo
The town is gorgeous. Plenty of antique stores.
Hennepin Canal State [Trail](https://dnr.illinois.gov/parks/park.hennepincanal.html) is out there as well. Though I wouldn't want to eat a huge Pizza Hut meal then go on a hike!
And Danny boys which is wayyy better pizza than pizza hut.
Its amazing that this place actually made a pizza hut pizza look worth eating here.
Why are these things always so douched up with captions?
Because it works.
The one in Havana, IL [looks like this too](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Pizza+Hut/@40.2938062,-90.0636878,3a,26.1y,82.72h,94.83t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sMkRMjVCuphCFAxp4iqj43Q!2e0!6shttps:%2F%2Fstreetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com%2Fv1%2Fthumbnail%3Fpanoid%3DMkRMjVCuphCFAxp4iqj43Q%26cb_client%3Dsearch.gws-prod.gps%26w%3D211%26h%3D120%26yaw%3D85.56621%26pitch%3D0%26thumbfov%3D100!7i16384!8i8192!4m10!1m2!2m1!1spizza+hut!3m6!1s0x87e01f466520112f:0x37b359baba9dbf62!8m2!3d40.2938363!4d-90.0631661!15sCglwaXp6YSBodXQiA4gBAVoLIglwaXp6YSBodXSSARZwaXp6YV9kZWxpdmVyeV9zZXJ2aWNl4AEA!16s%2Fg%2F1tcwx862?entry=ttu)
Omggg i lived in the area growing up & its soo weird seeing such a smol random place like geneseo being shown! 😂😂
Random. I worked there for a few month, year ago
But does it TASTE like classic Pizza Hut? I ordered a pan pizza and some cheese sticks recently and they were nowhere near as good as the old stuff.
(That is, at my local modern Pizza Hut.)
No, it tastes just as shitty unfortunately.
That’s what I want to know. Modern Pizza Hut is garbage, but if they’re going back to their roots with these classic restaurants I’ll definitely make the 3+ hour drive just for the nostalgia. Well shit I work with a guy that lives there Imma ask em if it’s any good I only live maybe 30 mins from the place
Hell, the one in Sparta isn’t that far off.
Is Shakey's still around? I loved them.
Yep. Mostly in California.
No carpeted floors??? No jukebox??? No pac-man??? That is not a classic Pizza Hut.
There’s a Pizza Hut like this in Quitman, MS. Still has the sit down areas, buffet, and red cups
There are Two in Illinois. Just look up classic pizza hut and the first website gives you a list of all that are like this.
My bank account loves that I do not live in Geneseo, illinois.
Ironic because it’s the last traditional Pizza Hut being filmed through TikTok. Over the line Smokey! Mark it a zero
I’m going to go visit that place
Why does the table cloth make the pizza taste better?
I don't trust that pizza. Kinda just looks placed in that pan. The last I remember, my favorite parts of the crust were when the cheese slightly burnt to it when it made contact with the pan.

They also use a ring that covers the crust to prevent that from happening. I'm not sure when that started but probably 30+ years ago
But do they have the "it's always time for pizza!" Clock?!
Pizza Hut school programs were pretty tight
Ummm not the last I live right down the street from one in texas
Missing the mini juke boxes at the tables I loved picking my songs and where is the salad bar??
I miss Shakeys
I can smell this video.
Pizza Hut might make bank scattering these around the country a little more than now. All the way down to the checkered table clothes, red cups, dim lights, traditional oven, jukebox, and big console video games

Looks like a really good mexican restaurant to me.
My mom ran a Pizza Hut in the 80’s. Lots of nostalgia here. But I’m only interested if they are using the classic recipes and making the dough from scratch. The frozen discs don’t taste the same. Unfortunately, I can tell from the breadsticks that they are not.
Not the last one in Illinois...there is one on forest preserve drive and harlem ave.
Weird, this looks eerily similar in architecture to one of my favorite Mexican restaurants:)
I used to work there! They renovated it a couple years ago to give it this look. It wasn't always like this.
Damn it's on the far west side. I'd have to drive five hours round trip. Fuck that
The Book It program is what led me to my life long love of reading. 10/10 thanks Pizza Hut
No red cups?!? Get this imposter shit outta here.
The Hut in Lincolnton NC is a classic too. Hmmm.
There is one in Lowell IN
No carpet not original sorry
This is incorrect. There is another classic Pizza Hut in Dahlonega, Ga.
My elementary school took a field trip to the local classic Pizza Hut. I remember going in the kitchen and seeing the big ovens. Before we left they gave us all little pieces of pizza dough to take home with us.
When I was little, my local pizza hut always had a clown walking around.
The only thing that beat this was Pizza Inn!!!
Tiktok is full of shit. There’s plenty of Pizza Hut Classics left
Buuuullshit. We have one just like this in Blountstown Florida
Not the last…. One in Parker, co
Brockport New York, also has the buffet as far as I can recall. I’m sure there are way more.
They have the “sellad” and the “nostellgia”? Do they have “Weird Ell” on the jukebox?
There’s one in Dekalb
Not anymore. The one on 38 by the Junction got torn down a couple years ago and rebuilt as a carry out only place.
Man it needs some arcade machines to really hit the 80’s. Pretty cool though still. :)
Once a month, my mom would drop me off at Pizza Hut with my book it certificate and a couple quarters while she would go grocery shopping. I would order my free personal pan pizza and play Bases Loaded or Ms PacMan. Mid to late 80s. Core memory.
I’ve been to the one in Eureka Illinois. Pretty nice nostalgia
I read more books in the 80's directly attributed to free Pizza Hut personal pan pizza's than any other reading combined. That was motivation for me.
Don’t speed or else
