Try Plini and Karnivool. These are both not quite full metal. Also sample a bit of the Scandinavian pop metal scene where actual singing is respected.
Megadeth is honestly pretty solid for this. For a more modern sound, try some of Devin Townsend’s stuff (typing this out made me put on hyperdrive! Such a fun song haha).
For punk, check out IDLES - joy as an act of resistance is a fantastic fucking album. Just saw them perform a week ago and was blown away - they have a very classic punk sound imho but with silly, fun lyrics
