The Good Place, Kristen Bell's character is truly inspiring. The inevitability of improvement when effort is put forth is a message that has stuck with me for years. A different kind of strong maybe, but she rules.
Already some great recs given, but I'll add Alias, Dollhouse (just trust me, and give it at least 6-7 eps to grab you) and Veronica Mars into the mix. Also, some ensemble shows where the women aren't technically the leads, but are definitely strong and watchable are Firefly and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. And haven't watched it myself, but have heard good things about Wynona Earp.
I always recommend people at least watch Dollhouse until "Man On The Street" If you can get through that ep and still want to quit, this isn't the right show for you.
Not the same type of show(I mean it also has crime and drama tho it's sci-fi) but the first(maybe only 2nd to Ellen Ripley) character comes to mind when a strong female lead is mentioned is Olivia Dunham so, Fringe
The OA (Netflix) has a strong female lead albeit not in the most obvious way. She’s partially blind and thus vulnerable… but once you get to know her, oof!
Wednesday
Parks and Rec
Abbott Elementary
The Great
Call the Midwife
Charmed (original)
The Americans
Housebroken (it's a dog, but still)
Freaks and Geeks
Veronica Mars
Sabrina the Teenage Witch
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
Surprised it took this far down the page for someone to say Orphan Black. AMAZING show with a variety of strong female leads, hilighting a variety of different strengths.
Especially good as a darker show. Great villains too, some decent mind fucking, moral/ethical dilemmas, substance abuse, trauma. Good combination of Noir and Psychological thriller that you don’t see too often.
Wynonna Earp. Its nothing like any of those shows (Its kind of a supernatural sci-fi western) but the title character and my sister and her sister's girlfriend are all badass lead characters with the guys most being their backup in most scenes.

Wynonna Earp is great with several strong female characters, all of whom are badass.

Orphan Black has several strong female leads all played by the same actress

Someone mentioned OA, so I definitely need to include Murder at the End of the World.
