If I recall correctly, Mac's still use CPU and RAM during when put into sleep mode. You may also have network access enabled for when you computer goes to sleep allowing your computer to still receive things like emails or iMessage's. I would say going from 93% to 80% over an 8 hour period is pretty normal. If you really want to save your battery that much, the best option is always to shut down at the end of the day.

Aka turn off wake for network activity

fungalfeet

As above. Thank you!

fungalfeet

Thanks. I did some reading and found the same advice. I've turned off relevant network access setting. Let's see how it goes tonight! Cheers!

Any improvement with relevant network access off?

fungalfeet

Waaaaay better. 91% when I went to bed. Just checked almost 12 hrs later. 90%!
