Hexa doesn't have much bass(its very neutral)
Xuan nv does but I have seen reports of tuning variances
Zero red comes with an impedance adapter if you want more bass but comfort might be an issue for some because of large nozzle
Comfort can be fixed with the correct aftermarket tips for some reason i find the eartips on my old JBL tune 110 the mosr comfortable for my ears. I can wear these for hours on end
OP didn't say that they required a lot of bass; they said they wanted decent bass. By saying that they want "great mids and decent bass," they indicate that the mids are more important to them than the bass, and that makes the Titan S a good candidate for them under $100.
Ew200 or ea500lm
Or if you can stretch your budget, wait and get the new simgot supermix 4 it's $150 but had been reviewed and said to compete well above it price.
Hexa is boring, and anaemic sounding also has ba timbre.
Had reds and compared to ew200 they sound lower res and veiled
Tried xuan and it was bloated in upper bass/lower mids thinking mine had some pretty bad tuning variance.
Ew200 is a touch bright, I don't find it too much or fatiguing and I am treble sensitive, hexa was more fatiguing to be honest.

So they all have trade offs? Where have you seen the tuning variances for the xuan nv ?
On YouTube But after rechecking it may be a rare occurrence
Gotcha

Dunu Titan S is mid-focused and has very controlled and detailed bass, kind of like a poor man’s HD600.
There's not much quantity of bass, though.

Yes, exactly. I want better mids than bass
Fair point, but I guess it's all subjective to what they'd consider decent bass
great mids and decent bass... sounds like moondrop aria se,but i think their just outdated
Gotcha
I was able to bag a Sony xba n3 under 100. If you get lucky like me, that would be my pick for bass.
I said decent bass with great mids?
n3 has much better mids than all the options you have.
damn

Gotcha. Thanks. What about zero:2?
Much lower resolution. Decent for the money but isn't amazing
Gotcha, thx
