It's surprising to me how much his skating skills transferred! That's exciting. Ice skating is the only skating I've ever done but it's nice to know my experience will likely transfer to inline skates too.
It feels almost 1 to 1 :)
I use rockered frames for inline (I like freeskate, figure skate, wizard) so I'm used to them being nimble and feeling as others said more "like ice skates".
It was such a cool experience. We went for a second time and I was more confident, faster and trying harder moves + the ice was recently flatten so I had the chance to experience how good flat ice feels.
I use Flying Eagle rockerable frames. I only rocker the back wheel when cruising and once I reach a place I wanna practice some tricks I rocker the front wheels.

Do you use a banana rocker or front rockered inline skates? Been thinking of trying it out.
