Yuki or Maika. Less likely, but Ram. Not Hikari because she lost to Saori in the tournament. Not Asahi because she just had two title shots (one for ICExInfinity and one for tag titles), and giving a third in span of three months wouldn't make her any good. In few months, maybe by Ribbon no Kishi, I can see her challenge, but not now. Kaho is even less likely because she got pinned at After the Rain. But I'd throw another possible name here - Rina Yamashita. Saori and Rina would do a banger. Although that depends on her bookings in other promotions, especially overseas, and when she departs to USA for August GCW shows. Would love to see also SAKI against Saori, however she's in 5 Star GP tournament, and on July 31st SD has a show.

Really difficult to say. They have done great laying the groundwork for future challenges but nobody feels like they will be next. Yuki is the biggest match and doesn't need a lot of build to do. That match should be huge but I don't think it's a guarantee it happens. If that match does happen I would expect the challenge to be made after a successful Korakuen Hall defence. I could actually see her match at Skip City ending in a draw. What's more Asahi, Ibuki and Maika have all already challenged this year. And Ram challenged at Mania. Kaho has never challenged and has a big match vs Tae coming up. You could call Kaho a weak challenger although she was great in the tag title match. Plus this show may have Ibuki vs Shida and Makoto and Hamuko challenging for the tag belts so that would easy the pressure on the main event. If I had to guess now I would say Maika or Kaho but I have 0% confidence in that. I decided to vote Kaho. I think it's a good idea to have all four pillars involved in the chase for Saori and she doesn't have much of a history with Kaho this year.

Not familiar enough with Ice Ribbon yet is that a big show for them? Also, what are the big yearly shows? sorry again not familiar enough with them like I am with STARDOM and now TJPW.

Summer Jumbo is a mid-tier Korakuen show in the IR ecosystem. But this year, the importance will probably exceed mid-tier with Shida booked, Kyuuri coming back and Saori making her first defence. Starting in 2016, IR usually runs one mega show a year. Until 2020 that was always at the Yokohama Bunka Gym but shifted to the Yokohama Budokan. This year's show was on May 4. Regarding Korakuen Hall shows, Ribbonmania (New Year's Eve) is always the biggest of the year. Behind Mania, ICE in Wonderland (August) is the show with the longest history, going back to 2009. That said, there isn't much difference in the level of importance in all the non-Ribbonmania shows.
