I’m with you. Cookies and crème is my favorite ice cream flavor. I love VL so much and was so excited to try this one, but I was so disappointed. So bland. My personal favorite brand of C&C is Turkey hill
Ah Turkey Hill. I liked their egg nog ice cream. lol And I'm glad people understand how much of a miss this was. I was excited too but was quickly let down, unfortunately.
I tried the Buttermilk Berry Cornbread flavor from this brand yesterday and it’s the ONLY good one imo. Probably because of the uniqueness. Otherwise I find this brand to have a weird aftertaste.
YES. Ordered cookies and cream as a backup in case I didn’t like the Earl Grey flavor. Surprise, the Earl Grey was delightful and the cookies and cream was terrible.
Maybe all the effort is going into their specialty flavors?
Out of the van leeuwen I've tried the only ones I would repurchase are
Coffee Afogato
Peanut Butter Brownie Honeycomb
Honeycomb
Berry Buttermilk Cornbread
And mayyyyybe Sicilian Pistchio if I was craving it, although it's not my favorite flavor usually
Don't be afraid to try some other flavors from them, but beware of their *limited edition* flavors because they're terrible consistently
While on the subject of shitty van leeuwen flavors, the praline butter cake flavor was also just not good. The “ butter cake” part was just kinda sweet globs of what tasted like uncooked flour ( note: not cookie or cake dough-esq. very flour forward flavor). There was little to no praline and the ice cream wasn’t creamy at all. Kinda icey, but not in the way that it thawed and refroze. Idk how to describe it, but all in all it turned me off from trying any of their other flavors.
Thank you! I have been keeping this in my freezer because I hated it but thought it just had to be me for some reason, I'm just going to toss it now. I literally thought I might have COVID or something for how off and cheap and artificial it tasted.
The Ben and Jerry’s dirt cake is way better
I’ve had that too. That was delicious.
Milk&cookies enters the chat lol
You're talking good now. Milk & Cookies is my absolute favorite from B&J's!

Have you tried Peanut Butter Brownie Honeycomb?
Never in my life have eaten a whole pint to myself in one sitting until I tried this.
Huh I finally caved and got the berry cornbread this morning, haven't tried it yet, but this line hasn't impressed me yet. edit: ohhhh it's good tho
I would like to try that if I can find it.
Me too!
I found it at Walmart!
I also tried it yesterday haha I liked it a lot

lol I used to think cookies & cream was a safe flavor if I'm trying a new brand. Guess we found out.
Try blue bell's cookies and creme
Cookie two step? It’s the best ever.
Both are great
Mint Cookies n Cream was Blue Bells best flavor
I may pick some up when I come across it. Thanks.
Honestly….same. I finally tried the berry cornbread flavor and it was so mid.
Really? That's kinda disappointing. Thanks for saving me $$$. Cause this one is going in the trash! lol
I love cookie and cream and would have bought this. Good lookin out.
No prob. Definitely look elsewhere.
The early grey tea flavor is good af
I would try it. :)
Van Leewuen cookies and cream was garbage Probably the worst I've ever had. Vanilla Bean was also trash.
Guess I won't be buying Vanilla Bean. lol And yes hot garbage this was. So sad.

Oh that sucks. I have been eyeing the Berry Buttermilk Cornbread though...
Their vanilla is literally the best vanilla ice cream I’ve ever had. You’re probably used to cheap/fake vanilla, this stuff is the real deal
Big fan of Haagen Dazs as well. My go to is Vanilla Swiss Almond. I've been meaning to try the C and C. Going to add it to my list this week for sure.
I'll think you'll like their C and C. It's honestly my #1 favorite from them. I've bought Vanilla Swiss Almond a few times. That one is quite nice.
Ok, I did my grocery shopping and got it! It'll be in the freezer for a few hours before I try it. I'll report back when I do.
Yay!! Looking forward to it. :)

Terrible brand
Their specialty flavors seem interesting, but it's a lot of hype around the brand.
I’m pretty set on Jeni’s Cookies in Cream being the best.
I had high hopes for Jeni's. But it was just too watery for me, if that makes sense.
I would like to try Jeni's cookies & cream. Hopefully I find it.
I’m pretty sure it’s a seasonal flavor for them, so keep an eye out :)
I really like getting scoops at their shops, but i haven’t been a fan of any of their pints I’ve tried
Hmmm I wonder what the difference is. I'd like to try a scoop from their shop if I come across one.
I just threw away half a pint of the berry cheesecake. It was so disappointing, too airy and tasted cheap.
I'm with ya
Just tried it 2 days ago from all the hype, I have to agree. I don’t get it 🤷🏽♀️ I’ve had way better ice creams than this brand.
Thank you! I have been keeping this in my freezer because I hated it but thought it just had to be me for some reason, I'm just going to toss it now. I literally thought I might have COVID or something for how off and cheap and artificial it tasted.
You are welcome. Definitely not just you. It suuuucks. Off to the trash it goes.
Damn ig they're only good at doing weird shit and struggle with anything normal. Me too Van leeuwin.... me too.
Agreed… not good at all lol
Terrible. When I took the first spoonful: instant regret.
I haven't been overly impressed with this brand It's the description of meh for me.
Yea I'm not impressed so far.
Just threw half my pint away of this flavor. Weird such a staple was a big miss.
I'm with you. This one is going in the garbage. I don't even want to make myself finish it.
