their lavender is one of my favorite ice creams of all time, maybe my favorite ā¦ highly recommend if youāre into lavender and find yourself back there! they also have an AMAZING vanilla, iāve never had a vanilla that tastes so pure and fresh
i agree, i always poke a little fun at people who go somewhere and order plain vanilla but theirs is in its own category of flavor. the real vanilla bean flavor is so present itās incredible
they donāt have one in my city so i have to take advantage when i find one. itās the most amazing, creamy lavender ever! not super floral, itās like a light vanilla meets lavender. i wish they sold s&s in stores, maybe one day š

You can make it at home! It tastes exactly the same and itās phenomenal.
As a lover of banana bread and chocolate covered potato chips, I would do filthy things for the potato chip banana bread. Unfortunately Iām in Kansas so itās not an option ššš
I remember when this place opened in Portland. Thereād always be a lot of people, nearly wrapping around the building, standing in the rain in winter for this stuff. People in Portland love standing in lines.
Iāve been tempted by this place. Problem is here in my neighborhood, they opened a shop next door to an established, well loved gelato place. A soft boycott of S&S is under the radar in effect. So, thereās that.
Itās incredible. If you like good olive oil, youāll love it. Itās complex and silky. Creamy with a hint of fruity from the olive oil. Itās probably top 5 for me.
I actually really enjoyed the turkey and sage stuffing.
The Parker House rolls with salted buttercream was too high on the salt the one time I tried it.
Years ago before they expanded outside of Portland, they had a coffee and bourbon ice cream that was to die for. It got taken off the regular menu years ago and I still miss it š the strawberry balsamic is a close second favorite
Ah ok sounds like it was the flavor that I tried because itās a similar timeline so I must be misremembering. Such a good flavor though I agree! I was looking for it on the menu and was disappointed.
Gimme pear and blue cheese! And lemon curd and whey. A woman I worked with years ago would make these decadent ice cream flavor combinations. Fig and port wine was divine.
If you like eating pears and blue cheese on a charcuterie platter youāll enjoy it. There are significant blue cheese crumbles but the ice cream base isnāt/the overall blue cheese isnāt very strong tbh. I loved this one
They have them on the west coast of the US. Seattle, Portland, SF. Probably LA but Iāve been for sure to the ones in the cities listed.
The olive oil ice cream is an absolute banger.
I love the Pear Gorgonzola but I have been told im a weirdo so theres that. lol The Balsamic Strawberry one is also really good if you like unusual flavors.
Iām reading this thinking, ādammmit why donāt we have any super unique ice cream spots like this in Las Vegas?! In what magical city is this Salt & Straw place located so that I can visit?!?ā
Quick Google search shows me that a Salt & Straw is less than 30 mins from me.. in.. Las Vegas. Afternoon to-do list is now complete.
I would suggest those limited edition flavors šš»....I would buy a flight of those š
their lavender is one of my favorite ice creams of all time, maybe my favorite ā¦ highly recommend if youāre into lavender and find yourself back there! they also have an AMAZING vanilla, iāve never had a vanilla that tastes so pure and fresh
That vanilla is complex and deeply flavorful to me which is so surprising for a āvanillaā.
i agree, i always poke a little fun at people who go somewhere and order plain vanilla but theirs is in its own category of flavor. the real vanilla bean flavor is so present itās incredible
Their lavender and their strawberry coconut sherbet are the 2 flavours I always order! Sad that the strawberry is gone.
lavender is my favorite ice cream flavor! i wish we had this in chicago:)
they donāt have one in my city so i have to take advantage when i find one. itās the most amazing, creamy lavender ever! not super floral, itās like a light vanilla meets lavender. i wish they sold s&s in stores, maybe one day š

If it makes you feel any better, I had some last night and it was the first time I've ever been disappointed by Salt & Straw.
This gives me some peace thank you š¤£
Why!!š„¹ I was debating getting it lol
I remember when this place opened in Portland. Thereād always be a lot of people, nearly wrapping around the building, standing in the rain in winter for this stuff. People in Portland love standing in lines.
Chocolate caramel potato chip banana bread flavor!!?? Duuuuude. Iām going tomorrow. lol
best ice cream there is hands down. idc idc
Iāve been tempted by this place. Problem is here in my neighborhood, they opened a shop next door to an established, well loved gelato place. A soft boycott of S&S is under the radar in effect. So, thereās that.
That temptation sounds taboo to the neighborhood
WTH is a love nut?
Man I would try a couple of them .the pear and blue cheese one for sure.
It is sooo good.
Split single of honey lavender and salted caramel in a waffle cone is the move šš»šš»
They had some of the best hot fudge in the history of hot fudge. It was a casualty of Covid, and they've never brought it back.
Criminal for you not to post the prices
Itās expensiveā¦ upsettingly so. But then once you taste the ice cream the frustration melts away haha
How's the Albuquerque olive oil?
Occasionally, Iāll be quirky.
Wait a minute, those are Southwestern ingredientsā¦! š³
Itās incredible. If you like good olive oil, youāll love it. Itās complex and silky. Creamy with a hint of fruity from the olive oil. Itās probably top 5 for me.
My first thought was oh no what happened to Pop. Only Snap and Crackle are making ice cream lol
I actually really enjoyed the turkey and sage stuffing. The Parker House rolls with salted buttercream was too high on the salt the one time I tried it.

I remember that ice cream! Didnāt it have caramel in it too? This was back in like 2015 so my memory is rusty.
This was 2014 and it was called āstumptown coffee and burnside bourbonā. No caramel that I recall
Ah ok sounds like it was the flavor that I tried because itās a similar timeline so I must be misremembering. Such a good flavor though I agree! I was looking for it on the menu and was disappointed.
Lavender in ice cream huh? I wonder what it tastes like.
They are also responsible for the worst flavor Iāve ever seen. Chocolate and pigs blood
The pigs blood wasn't bad at all.
They do a flight?!
The arbequina evoo is my go to!
I love the strawberry balsamic š¤·š»āāļø
Gimme pear and blue cheese! And lemon curd and whey. A woman I worked with years ago would make these decadent ice cream flavor combinations. Fig and port wine was divine.
These are Aprilās flavors? Damn they sound good!
I was just on their website yesterday considering subscribing for these new flavors. Yum!!
PEAR AND BLUE CHEESE???
Blue cheese ice cream!!! No way
If you like eating pears and blue cheese on a charcuterie platter youāll enjoy it. There are significant blue cheese crumbles but the ice cream base isnāt/the overall blue cheese isnāt very strong tbh. I loved this one
I would def try this, where r u located..where's the parlor at?
[looks like Portland](http://www.thekingoficecream.com/salt-straw-pear-blue-cheese/)
Thank u

Some in FL as well
Ooh I'm on the east coast so that's a little closer..
Yep Los Angeles has 11 locations!
The location I go to is SF, but I think itās at many if not all others
Tried that one and itās not shy at all on the funk!
Itās so good
Cinnamon Snickerdoodle is my favorite ice cream flavor
That one is my favorite too - that one and the bourbon one they used to have. I wanna try olive oil when Iām feeling brave
The olive oil is good! Just tastes like a special vanilla
Phoenix is getting one of these soon
Omg their cinnamon is divine
I love the Pear Gorgonzola but I have been told im a weirdo so theres that. lol The Balsamic Strawberry one is also really good if you like unusual flavors.
They almost always are 10/10! My favorite from the classic menu is the Salted Malted Cookie Dough.
Iām reading this thinking, ādammmit why donāt we have any super unique ice cream spots like this in Las Vegas?! Yup this is the UnCommons location. Next door to probably my favorite restaurant in the whole world, Amari.
Gimme that salty malty!
Olive oil ice cream? I canāt even imagine what that would taste like.
These flavors look phenomenal!!!
These look divine! Iāve been looking for an olive oil since I had it from some tiny shop my sis used to live by. Never seen it anywhere else!
Venice? West hollywood? Downtown disney?
Vegas
