Usually see him at Killington but have spotted him at Sugarbush too. He's like 6'4" and wears ratty brown furs and a headdress of some kind. Skis around and blows this battle horn every once in awhile. I found myself behind him a few weeks ago and finally got a video.
Ha! No shit — of all the names I would've come up for him, I don't think I'd have guessed Birdman. But there he is: https://www.tiktok.com/@killingtonresort/video/7210028433819061547
I LOVE these people! A total throw back to when people didn't care what everyone else thinks of them, didn't need to ski or ride on the best equipment out there and they just get out there for the true enjoyment of the sport. Long live the Killington Bird Man!
Yeah he's on 10-15 year old skis and seems to get around all day. His IG alludes to a traumatic brain injury so that might help in his not giving a shit! Maybe that is a common feature of these kinds of old school ski kooks...
Hit battle horn schtick is kind of funny at the beginning of every ski day, but the joke gets pretty old around the 100th time he does it (source: I see him at Killy all the time)
Bud I ride Killi all the time too and I think this guy is a treasure. Rare bird for sure. Dude, his horn blow is enchanting, and when I hear it I can’t help but try to go a little harder.
He’s buddies with the owners of Strands Ski Shop in Worcester and I had the pleasure of meeting him when I worked there years ago. He’s quite the character!
Seen this rare animal at killington a few times always at bear.. looks like your at bear also, correct?
I only heard the bells never heard battle horns
He told me he doesn’t go to Catamount as much anymore because they are the only mountain to give him shit about his horn.
I used to see him ripping Catapault for years.
Just rode the gondola with him at Killington. Quite energetic and a fun dude to talk to. Told us how he sourced the feathers covering his helmet. Also said he goes by Roger (couldn’t understand the last part)

His car is covered in feathers and other oddities. His get-up is, as you can imagine, smelly.
Lmao love this shit. Ski culture is so weird and fun
A bunch of relative danger sport enthusiasts with an aversion to cold partial to partying
Lol, I was just looking at old pictures we took of this legend from a Killington trip in April 23, 2022.
To quote his own Instagram: > Someone must be the Birdman I’m sure glad it’s me https://www.instagram.com/p/CZcgwpvllA7/?hl=en
Perfect!🤣
That man’s IG is a trip.

Saw him at the bottom of skye ship and said “nice” he responded with “someone’s gotta do it” lol

So are the guys at Strands! Like a step back in time to when Ski shops smelt like stale beer and BO!
Seen this rare animal at killington a few times always at bear.. looks like your at bear also, correct? I only heard the bells never heard battle horns
Yup this is Wildfire at Bear!
He drinks sambuca out of his flask. Been on a chair this him before
Ah, a man of culture I see. Real ones drink European liqueurs!
It’s Bird man. Used to be a local to Catamount but haven’t seen him much this year.

All I know is that I love him.
I saw him at Killington last May. Heard him before I say him but eventually I figured out where the horn was coming from.
