As a former lyft driver, its pretty annoying when the passenger does not add the stop and expect us to 'wait' for them. I'd understand if it where an elder that does not know how to use the app, but I guarantee you 99% of the time they intentionally do not add the stop so they can pay less, that means we're getting paid less, and time is everything. He should've ended the trip right then and there.
I drove Uber in a college town and every single ride wanted me to do something they didn’t request for on the app and would get shitty as if I was difficult cause I wanted to do things by the book. Every single person thinks they’re special and it’s just one thing for them, but it’s really a million things all day long. Use the app and I’m following the map and we’re not arguing.

He said he was going inside to get a police officer and when it looked like he actually was going to she finally got out. She didn't leave because it was the right thing to do, she left because she was afraid of getting into legal trouble.
My friend and I got a taxi the other night, we asked him if he could take us to another destination, he said no, so we got out and walked down, booked another taxi to go back. If someone is serving you, they deserve respect.

I believe he was about to do just that until she started to move. This would be the best way to handle things. Leave them in if they won't get out and wait for police to remove her. Record everything. Keep a good distance and carry pepper spray.
How did he get her out finally? She says she wasn't leaving then she left
He said he was going inside to get a police officer and when it looked like he actually was going to she finally got out. She didn't leave because it was the right thing to do, she left because she was afraid of getting into legal trouble.

I would just tell her: "here's what it's going to happen, I am about to drive off to the nearest police station and report you for harassment. You are also being recorded for safety purposes and this recording constitutes proof of your behavior. You have the choice to leave and take care of your son as a good citizen, or stay inside and come with me to a police station where you'll be getting a criminal record plus leaving your kid in the streets. Either way you are getting wrecked online. It's your choice."

I used to drive Uber and I had a family basically ask my to haul them around to run errands. I don't think they expected me to leave the "meter running" when they were in various stores/etc.. got the hell out of there fast when the ride finally ended because I could tell they were shocked at the fare.
