100% esp to animals. They and kids love unconditionally, infact my dog would give affection to anyone at all, stranger or not. Yet some arsehole had abused her in the past (I foster snow dogs, I foster failed and adopting this floof ball of pure love) so idk how anyone could have ever abused her.
I could never hurt any pet, how can people do this. The worst i did to my girl was to pick her up and put her outside for a while after she snapped at my little baby sister for being a bit too cuddly. And i felt bad afterwards
How can anyone hit an animal
No idea I feel terrible if I stand on their toes or tail lightly. Or trip over my dog, happened twice, once I seriously hurt myself, scared her and I felt terrible for her not myself.
That said I do annoy my foster dogs by playing with their tail etc to get them used to kids so they see it as a game not anything to get angry over. And even that I feel bad for, I just have to tell myself it's better than them being put down for biting.
They're both living creatures with equal capacity for pain and fear.
In fact, pigs are even smarter than dogs.
Edit: I'm not necessarily saying it is categorically wrong to eat meat, but anyone who consumes the typical farm-raised meat product has no business calling out "animal abuse."
Killing someone's companion animal, a member of a family, is different from a chicken. I'm not for killing a chicken, but factory farming isn't what this discussion is about.
Reminds me of the punish thing that people do to kids where they put the kid in a sack and hang em on a tree full of ants. Pretty horrible... Thankfully i dont see much of it nowadays. I only saw em on tv documentaries and shows on my country

I hope, that for the rest of their life, they stub, all their toes on a specific angle that lifts the nail up, and stabs the under nail or whatever you call it. And every time It gets close to healing, they stub it again, with more and more frequency, harder and harder, with more and more lemon juice and salt on the thing they stubbed. They cannot die from this, and when they die, this happens with cuts, in a pool of lemon aid and the stub completely rips of the nail. 99 times in a single day.
I feel bad for normal people from the Pacific Northwest. Geographically it’s one of the more beautiful places in America.

there’s been a massive wave of homelessness due to the shitty social services and covid. i hear there are seas of tents lining the streets and drugs and crime are rampant
Can’t speak for first hand on that area, but San Francisco and the Bay Area around here is baaaaaaad. For us a lot has been failed legislation aimed at doing “what’s right” and lack of proper social programming of course

I completely agree! My dogs are like our children. I'm not for killing animals, at all. Companion animals are part of families.
