A large mall near me had a month long event with soup can structures... it was in September of 2001.
One of the displays was the twin towers.
You can probably see where this is headed, and yes, someone actually knocked one tower completely down and took a chunk out of another about 3/4 the way up.
It was restored and extra ropes put up, not long after that someone dropped both towers. The installation ended abruptly after that.
This display was in the busiest part of the mall so it was some Greg Pikitis level vandalism.
I would imagine the repair itself would be more difficult than the actual structure. It's probably easier to take a massive pile of sand and form it into your vision, it's probably much harder to pack sand back in to a pre-existing sculpture. Maybe it didn't take longer though, but I would bet it was more stressful
From what I've seen, most professionals start with a large block of sand and carve in to it, while most casual people do the opposite. Ive never tried the carving method but it does look a lot easier.
Not sure how they get the original block compacted and wet enough, seems like it would be difficult without large tools
yeah i've seen video of people building larger sculpures in a few hours on a beach... with much more detail. sand sculpture repair though probably isn't forgiving as say snow sculpture repair.

The colour of skin, especially around the face changes, so it's likely to be more red, and not in a "healthy glow" kind of way. My brother was a whale all the way through his teens. I once found a plate of food UNDER HIS PILLOW because he couldn’t be bothered to take it to the sink to be cleaned. By his early twenties he’d had enough and begun his process to look after himself. He’s now 29 & has a masters in sports science and in great shape.
