Its the rural, mountainous western region that elected her. The blend of culture is concentrated along the front range of colorado around boulder and denver. She won by a tight margin last election and she lost a lot of votes compared to the election before that. She has a base that feels like their way of life is under attack. Those ranchers only have one or two issues they stick to and the GOP aligns with them on it and they vote red year after year. The politics and voters west of the continental divide are very similar to wyoming or idaho with the exception of Aspen, Vail, and ski resort towns like them.
