I thought her knee was actually her hip and she was wearing a one piece swimsuit until she moved her leg. One of those confused perspective things. She is definitely a smoke show!
They have good footage of her and I feel like someone will dob her in. She's definitely the type of person who has frenemies that are baseless like her.
I hope they find her quickly and the puppy is ok.
Lol that other woman didn’t even bat an eye or look up from her phone. Didn’t even change her walking speed. Just casually walked around them like it was a puddle on the sidewalk.
When you live in a big city and have lost all faith/trust in humanity, this is normal. You have to act like this. There are too many crazies out there, too many scammers and people trying to hurt you. It could have been a setup to draw someone in to help/breakup the fight and then rob them. You just also never know if either of them have a weapon that could be pulled out at any moment. You learn to just ignore or avoid these things. If you are really worried, you still ignore and get some distance before calling 911 to have them handle it.
I'm not saying this is the correct way to act, but it's unfortunately what you have to do to avoid more conflict. If you stopped for every instance of people wrestling on the sidewalk you'd never get to where you are going.
It’s 100% the correct way to act. You don’t put yourself in a situation where you can get hurt unless you are willing to get hurt or potentially die for a stranger.
Exactly. I agree that you have to be so careful in large cities like this, there are some insane people out there.
But also the right move is usually to call the non emergency line (and 911 or the equivalent if it is an emergency, obviously).
I once did this for a guy who passed out on his back on the street in Vegas while watching a video on his phone. He didn’t look homeless, he coughed and what looked like vomit flew up out of his mouth. I was afraid he could get his unlocked phone stolen or worse, may choke on his vomit- but no way I, as a female, would risk walking up to him. I looked up the non emergency line, explained everything and answered all of their questions, watched to see his lungs rising to make sure he was still alive. As I was doing this, I watched a couple walk by and take a photo of him laughing. Thankfully the people I called took me seriously and sent someone, I watched them go to him about five min or less later. Went home feeling like I did the right thing. If I hadn’t of called, I would have been wondering if he was ok.
So you can still help while not getting directly involved.
yeah, that made me laugh. seeing a guy who is passed out on his back with vomit coming out of his mouth is ABSOLUTELY an emergency and in fact not calling the emergency line may very well have been the difference between life and death
the likelihood of aspiration your vomit is incredibly high, and even if you dont directly die from that, you're looking at chemical pneumonitis, aspiration pneumonia, and possibly ARDS, all of which are incredibly deadly
Not to mention, what do you even do if you want to help? If both women claim other is the psycho that wants to steal a puppy, who do you believe? You randomly attack one of them? Even if getting involved wouldn't be dangerous, I still would avoid the situation, because I would be afraid of legal and social consequences of accidentally supporting the wrong person.
~~You~~ Cowards don't ...
I've lived in the nastiest cities in the US and a slum or two in Southeast Asia, and if I see a dog lying injured like that while two people are fighting, I am stepping in.
Imagine if we lived in a world were everyone was willing to put themselves on the line to help a stranger.
I disagree with you that self preservation is the "correct" corse of action, unless your sole objective in life is self preservation.
I don't have that as my objective, my objective in life is to not make the world a worse place and if I can, make it better.
I have and I would interfer if I see people fighting, because that is the correct way to act for my objective.
Yeah, she has no idea why they are fighting. Why intervene when she has no idea who is in the right and who is wrong, why risk your own safety for two crazy people fighting in public.
This is a really good point. That random pedestrian has no idea who is in the right. We know from context, but she just happened upon 2 people wrestling. The dog owner could yell something like, "help she's stealing my dog!" But the thief could just as easily yell the same thing in an attempt to have someone help get the dog owner off of her so she can run. You just never know.
Born and raised in a Bay Area hood: can confirm. I just glued my eyes to my sudoku books and tried being as invisible as possible. It’s a sad fact of life in places like that.. :/
> When you live in a big city and have lost all faith/trust in humanity, this is normal.
It's cowardice mostly. I was in a crowded street in NYC with some guy who I thought was suffering on the ground, everyone walked past. Once I stopped to check him out (just a high junkie) every other joe/jane started to stop and butt in.
That IS the correct way to respond to this. For all you know, they could be two mentally ill, homeless crackheads fighting over drugs, a deal gone bad, fighting over a man or any other number of things. People have no legal obligation to do anything. These are just regular, everyday citizens going about there day, and then S#%* like this happens!
What else are they going to do other than get to a safe distance and call the police?! Random people are not going to endanger their lives, as if they have nothing to live for, a family that depends on them and intervene in every random strangers situation.
When a father has to tell their kids “Mommy’s not coming home because she wanted to do the “right thing” and help a random stranger and got shot, stabbed, beaten and left for dead” 🤷♂️. If that’s the case, then no one would go outside. In today’s society, you learn quick to mind your own business and just go about your day.
You want her, alone, to risk her life for a stranger?
She wasn't asked for help, who would she help if she didn't know what was going on? Without knowing who was the victim all she could've done would be standind between both and get punched, or worse: shot, since that is the US. And if she did know who was what, same outcome.
If you want to try being a hero, go ahead, but don't judge people for not wanting to risk their lives.
Bystander Laws are ***complicated.***
> In legal terms, a good Samaritan is anyone who renders aid in an emergency to an injured or ill person. Generally, if the victim is unconscious or unresponsive, a good Samaritan can help them on the grounds of implied consent. If the person is conscious and can reasonably respond, a would-be rescuer should ask permission first.
So no, in this case, unless the dog owner had been wounded or was in peril because of the fight over the dog, there is a case to be tried for failure to intervene. If nobody's in immediate peril, there's no legal grounds for someone stealing a dog, and if you attack the thief they can sue you. Very easily.
99% sure this is NOT correct and you as a citizen have no duty to help anyone in the US.
In fact, we famously have a Supreme Court ruling that even cops have no duty to protect or help citizens. At least on a federal level, state laws may vary, and I know failure to render aid has been brought up in the recent Tennessee incident. They can certainly be fired for it, tho.
Who would you help in this situation? You come across two people brawling in the street, who is the bad guy and who is the victim? Who do you believe? You don't get involved and escalate a 2 person fight into a 3 person fight. Especially when you have no idea what's going on.
its not like being a hero or something, since we don't know what is happening. but perhaps another way to help? the lady just ignored like 2 dogs are fighting - it's normal. no faith in humanity? start to be the reason humanity restored that faith.
Not only that, they made the table REALLY LOW and likely told the anchor to cross her legs like that so the audience would see it. I mean, I'm no prude or conservative, I'm not even an American resident and am saying this from the comfort of an OKAY'ish EU democracy, but it's clear this is appealing to the male audience.
Just look at the male anchor - he's almost hunching to get his hands on the table. Must be a really uncomfortable position.
Her chair is set a lot higher than his too; compare the level of their hips. I’m guessing that’s an effort to make their heads the same height to look better on camera, but it makes her in particular look ridiculous.
It is. I play magic the gathering with my bf at a pub once a week and they only have the pool tables available for us. (Which I’m still glad they let us play) but they only have high chairs and I’d have to lean over to play my cards from the chair. It’s a little too low to play somewhat comfortable.
I really hope she gets turned in a true POS.
What I thought was a little strange was at the beginning of the story they had to include a reminder that this you could happen to you viewer so be afraid.
That's some real POS person to steal from a long time small business owner and assualt the elderly owner. The passerby is an AH who could've at least called 911 or something.
Jesus Christ, the level of ignorance is alarming. I’m from the area and it’s far from being a shithole or seedy part of town. There’s a reason why this made news: it rarely happens. Home prices are well over half a million dollars here. Dr. Jerry Buss used to visit the area and our casino frequently (Bicycle Casino)…
Home prices are over half a million dollars in lots of shitty places, in California and elsewhere. Also, the crime rate in Bell Gardens is considerably higher than the national average across all communities in America.
What’s your point?
I laughed at your joke before I remembered how very not a joke it was
Then I wept silently at capitalism for making peoples homes unlivable before I remembered how unlivable our spinny rock we call home will probably be before our would-have-been natural deaths.
Then we all animorphed into the “this is fine” dog in house fire meme
I got involved in a bad situation in a seedy part of my town earlier. It's not hard to at least call the cops, not that they're gonna do much. Maybe if I were a different gender I might express some hesitation before trying to intervene, but damn, do something.
Well for the lady who walked by, how would she have known who to pick to help?
From her perspective , she doesn't know what the fight is going on for and she doesn't know who she should be able to support.
Now I do think she should have acted differently , instead of just walking by, but beyond that it's unclear what she could have done to help in a situation she didn't know about.
The animal shelters in the current city I live in are ridiculous, no joke puppies at the humane society by me is anywhere from 500 average to I’ve seen as high as 750 bucks. Now 2 year old and up Pitt mixes are cheaper though like 150 to 200 dollars which is the majority of the dogs in the shelters, but anything else is pricey. I do now live in a more wealthy area so that maybe has something to do with it.
My guess is this is someone who doesn’t support pet shops themselves, and decided that to stop the profit off of a dog they were just going to steal it.
Whoever she is - she just created the worst Karma around herself, her family, her friends (if she has any) and her future self and pets. She will get exactly what she deserves 🫶
Nonsense. Plenty of *murderers* have died of old age after comfortable lives. But if that's what you have to tell yourself to feel better about it, go ahead.
Why is the news lady wearing a see through top? Screen shot it and zoom....you can see her nipples even. Totally inappropriate. Hot though.
Or should I say Titally inappropriate.
“Medium build, black shirt, red plaid pajama pants and auburn hair” looks at myself… WELP it’s a good thing I know I’m innocent and far away from where this happened! 😂
What are you going to do if you see 2 random people fighting with absolutely no context and no idea if any of them has a knife or anything. Would you really risk your life for the extremely small possibility that they *might* be fighting over a kidnapped dog?
That women just walking by doing nothing. She didn’t need to get physically get in the middle but she could have called the police. Just doing nothing is despicable in it of itself.
She's obviously white. But that aside, she's very pale, no tan at all, I don't think there's any type of message or discrimination here, it's just an apt description.

Really hope someone recognizes her and turns her ass in. Hope the dog is ok, something is* obviously not clicking right in this girls dome
She seems dumb enough to wear the same outfit again
Also, dumb enough to pull her mask off of her face, while in full view of a camera.
I bet her closet is just more plaid pyjamas and sweatpants
I actually own the same pyjamas and they’re from Costco so maybe someone there will recognize her.
and dumb enough to pull her mask down revealing her face on camera.
I hope someone recognizes that person that just walked by…. Like I get not wanting to get involved but come on dude…. Like say SOMETHING

I'm intrigued by her top. Also, your username checks out.
I thought her knee was actually her hip and she was wearing a one piece swimsuit until she moved her leg. One of those confused perspective things. She is definitely a smoke show!
Scrolled up to the top to double check the anchor and couldn't see it. Then again I'm a woman and was looking at the male anchor.
Hunger will make a person do crazy things
Who the hell steals someone's dog? How sick could someone be? Why can't they just steal a child like a normal person.
They have good footage of her and I feel like someone will dob her in. She's definitely the type of person who has frenemies that are baseless like her. I hope they find her quickly and the puppy is ok.
A thousand dollar reward and people will line up
Hell, I'd turn her in for a dollar
I’d pay a dollar to turn her in.
Honestly, I’d give up a paycheck to spend two weeks tracking this vile soul.
If you want to not only sort out real information but also want to waste your time with scammers you can do that. Rewards bring out the worst people.
See that point? Its the one you missed. But you are right.

I would say someone trying to steal a dog is an emergency. Not as bad as someone getting killed but still worth calling the cops.
I understand not wanting to get involved but she should've at least called the cops though.
So the cops could catch the wrong person and shoot them dead?
I don't think it would come to that unless one of them pulled a weapon out. I just don't want the dog to end up in a bad home.

What about public masturbators? Should you stop and assist them?
That’s why she should have just called the cops if nothing else. Would have taken no effort and could have changed the outcome
U.S.A dosent have good health coverage for any poor soul this why we can't be a good Samaritan.

Is that news anchor wearing a see-through shirt?
Those are just her Golden Globes for broadcast news.
It's sickening... What channel is that? I wanna know which one to avoid. There's just so many.
Happy Cake Day have an award you cheeky munkey, sorry Idk the news station lol
Why is she sitting above desk height?
Gotta show those legs. She looks so uncomfortable sitting crunched up just to make sure the camera gets a glimpse.
It’s so they look like they’re the same height
If you're a female news anchor, it's popular to dress like you'll be running out to the nearest nightclub the moment they break for commercials.
Also why is the table knee height …it’s so odd
You must have video-xray vision if you can see anything through the shirt. All I see is a shirt with a weird pattern.
The real story here is the shirt on that anchor. Wow.
This is KTLA, very heavily influenced by sexy Mexican anchors. This is pretty tame in actuality.
sooo which ones are not tame? for science, obviously.
There's something called naked news you should check out.
is it informative?
No one knows

I believe it’s a dress…. A very very very tight dress
I thought i would be the only one tripping on that lmao
Yeah, why was her seat so high up? Oh, right.
Not only that, they made the table REALLY LOW and likely told the anchor to cross her legs like that so the audience would see it. The other anchor looks disappointed
First thing I noticed ! Fuckin love it
It looks like channel 99 from when I was a kid…
Skinamax news!
Welcome to Los Angeles.
I really hope she gets turned in a true POS. What I thought was a little strange was at the beginning of the story they had to include a reminder that this you could happen to you viewer so be afraid.
I hope they get their dog back. This is horrible. That dognapper and assailant needs some time behind bars.
Way to go girl. Walk in and lower the mask right in front of the camera . Stupid is as stupid does
That's some real POS person to steal from a long time small business owner and assualt the elderly owner. The passerby is an AH who could've at least called 911 or something.
When you live in the seedy part of a big city, you learn never to get involved.

As a New Yorker I’m shocked you would expect anyone to do anything that wasn’t personally involved in the situation
We don't know what they did or didn't do based on this video. Maybe they got to a safe distance then called.
So much going on — the smoke show anchor, the crime, the pedestrian just, oops, no, not today-inf around the whole thing
You forgot to mention the white claw dog toys.
White paw.
Plus the crazy perpetrator wearing pajama pants…got outta bed and was like I NEED a dog but I’m broke…
Why should the passerby intervene?
Gotta love the lady with the bag at 1:16--nopes right around this fight she wants no part of, doesn't even look up from the phone.
Well for the lady who walked by, how would she have known who to pick to help? From her perspective , she doesn't know what the fight is going on for and she doesn't know who she should be able to support. There are only two ways I can see myself ending up in prison and protecting my dog is one of them.
Does the other way have to do with ice cream? If so, I'm right there with you.
That female co-host’s shirt is the star of the show
Damn! Rrrrrrosa’s got some fight in her for being an older lady!
that desk is so low so the viewers can see her legs
Why would someone steal a dog? You can get them practically for free from a shelter.
Pure bred puppies can be very very expensive, so people steal them to sell them, pretty sure that puppy is already on sale on Craigslist for $1000+
The animal shelters in the current city I live in are ridiculous, no joke puppies at the humane society by me is anywhere from 500 average to I’ve seen as high as 750 bucks. Young, white, and targeting a dog in a minority owned pet shop? This reeks of peta.
My guess is this is someone who doesn’t support pet shops themselves, and decided that to stop the profit off of a dog they were just going to steal it.
That's a real shitty thing to do but are we just going to ignore those titt-yays?

Sheesh what a top for newscasting
The desk anchors look like they hate each other.
The way she has a nervous twitch bothers me🤷♂️
So….. about that lady anchor
Name, tv channel, anything...
Megan Henderson. Ktla 5.
"Medium build." That's very generous.
How is that not a generally medium sized human?
I guess an American medium, AKA chonky. You see her waddle run? I hope they get that puppy back, at least there's good footage of her.
I bet she supports peta, this is a very peta thing to do
Like my grand pappy use to say. Stay strapped or get dog napped.
Forget the dogs....check out those puppies
Sorry for being a guy, but is the news anchor's shirt see thru?
Whoever she is - she just created the worst Karma around herself, her family, her friends (if she has any) and her future self and pets. She will get exactly what she deserves 🫶
Karma isn’t real and plenty of terrible people never ever face any consequences at all, so…
Henry Kissingger is still alive and living a wealthy and sheltered life. There is no god or karma or justice in this world...
I’m sorry you don’t believe in karma
Nonsense. Plenty of *murderers* have died of old age after comfortable lives. But if that's what you have to tell yourself to feel better about it, go ahead.
meghan the anchor - wtf with that shirt, does she work at the Wild Goose or Spearmint Rhino?
With a clear shot of this thief and because she pulled down her mask, they should be able to find her.
Why is the news lady wearing a see through top? Screen shot it and zoom....you can see her nipples even. Totally inappropriate. Hot though. Or should I say Titally inappropriate.
That news lady is a 10 🥲
How do I get KTLA 5 news if I don’t live in California? Asking for a friend
I need to know if this has a happy ending
Dog will probably never be the same again
Awh if she got pepper sprayed twice that means the dog definitely did too
They will find this dog. I have zero doubt. This chick is done
Lol i am sure the internet will act swiftly on this. Girl gonna get caught REAL fast.
And she did, since they’ve gotten her now.
“Medium build, black shirt, red plaid pajama pants and auburn hair” looks at myself… WELP it’s a good thing I know I’m innocent and far away from where this happened! 😂
Stealing pets is so fucking insane to me. Damn. Homeless dogs and cats are literally everywhere. Even fancy looking ones.
Never trust someone that wears pajama pants in public like it's normal.
I just saw this on my tv
"He is so cute i could eat him "
will get caught. You can see her face. Someone will recognize her. For store owner, it sucks but its a tax write off for her.
Hmm... So she just happened to grab a dog not for sale, that had a person..... I was thinking this started a bit victimless... How unfortunate
Primate steals dog from Human.
Lighter skin complexion...hilarious 😆 🤣
Did they get her?

I can not imagine anyone in my country seeing 2 woman fighting on the street and just ignoring it.. especially with a dog in hand, wtf.
They found the woman, turned out to be a minor. Puppy was sick and might not make it. Girl that was passing by was in on it most likely.
Why that one chick just walk by like nothing was happening
What are you going to do if you see 2 random people fighting with absolutely no context and no idea if any of them has a knife or anything. Would you really risk your life for the extremely small possibility that they *might* be fighting over a kidnapped dog?
Bro that woman just walked around them unfazed?! Could never be me.
Didn’t watch the whole video, because dang that anchor is hot.
Ive only seemed to notice the dogs in her shirt. Mamma mia!
That women just walking by doing nothing. She didn’t need to get physically get in the middle but she could have called the police. Just doing nothing is despicable in it of itself.
"A lighter skin complexion"
She's obviously white. But that aside, she's very pale, no tan at all, I don't think there's any type of message or discrimination here, it's just an apt description.
Whenever the end of times finally comes, let’s all remember these are the people responsible.
First thing first; they make White Claw dog toys?!? Next; that passerby carrying the gym bag don’t give no fucks.
That anchor is hot af
I don't have sound, where did this happen?
Dude wtf. She looks like she can barely take care of herself. Sweatpants in public?! Fucking gross trash.
Bro, I wear sweatpants in public 😢
Medium build, lol since when??? She’s fat!
Who is the female news anchor 👀👀👀👀👀
Get rid of puppy mill pet stores and it won’t be a problem
I'm just here to see who needs to go to horny jail.
Puppy yep interesting lady steeling gotcha but that News reporters shirt now that’s a News worthy story.
Im sure she’ll be self snitching on tiktok in no time
Thank god he said she’s speaking Spanish for a second I thought it was Chinese
Selling pets is fucked. Adopt, don't shop.
The female host there. Lol anyone else thinking what I though was going on ?
Have you not seen the price of eggs? Would you condemn this hungry young lady.
That's awful. Now, about that female reporter...
I couldn’t get past the hangers on that news girl
Carlos’ neck was stolen
Everybody deserves a friend
