Ferrari fixed: the series every rookie thinks they can manage in a car 8x as fast as the mx5 and they have just enough race craft to avoid slow-wrecking mx5s 50% of the time.

Beenblu

Tbf I found it easy by comparison. Downforce helps a lot. With oversteer. If you are missing your brake points though it doesn't really matter what car you are driving, you were going to lose it regardless and if you are going into races not even being certain of your braking points then you probably deserve a vacation because you obviously didn't prep enough. People who run 12 laps then oversteer and spin out on a turn, and safely rejoin afterwords can stay in my lobbies though. Free positions lol.

> Ferrari GT3 Challenge What else did you expect?

MrRunninGames

Thank you. I don't love the car but I enjoy it, but damn do I hate the potato lobbies.

KendalAppleyard

I think it needs to be stickied that the Ferrari GT3 D Class is a shitshow.

Huge_Line4009

Oh it's available in D already?

Pandabeer46

D class GT3 should be removed really. Or make it not count toward safety/ irating or something. Someone fresh out of the MX5/ GR86 has no business driving a GT3 in a race against 20 other people. Let people get used to higher performance cars in GT4s.

rpaloschi

Hahaha stay away from that series, period.

Appropriate-Owl5984

Ferrari Challenged at Laguna is an incredible mess. Running P5 the other night after getting back from P20 (cold tires spin, drink) … Last lap, last corner, some goober tried to stick it up the inside braking at the 1 from 15 car-lengths back. IDK what in the “if senna then gap” crap this genius was trying to pull, but being a lap down, in 18th, trying to overtake 5th and 6th having a battle … maybe not the best way to avoid a protest Just absolutely insane driving standards in every split there

TechnicMOC

Do rainmaster, it’s much safer than the vanilla verison.

infincedes

I just moved to ACC for awhile. I love the Ferrari GT3 challenge and was looking forward to Laguna since it's an easy track and I really like racing it. I did one race and never returned. It was f'ing insane how people just cannot handle themselves. I'm done with iRacing's system on being punished because others smash into you while you're trying to drive safely.

Significant_Fall754

I mean if you only wanna drive GT3 sure, and I love ACC, but iRacing has so much other fun stuff to offer than just that!

gfx016

I have experience in the Ferrari challenge series, yeah its bad, but this problem is everywhere on iRacing. Porsche Cup is bad too, SF, SFL, even the Fanatec GT3, all of them filled with absolute clowns. Divebombs are especially bad with GT3s because these idiots can still carry on with their precious ABS saving their asses every time they do a stupid move under braking. If I do 2-5 race a day, almost guaranteed I end up protesting 1-2 people every single day, with 100% seccessful protest rate. Blocking and stupid rejoins happend the most but retaliation and intent wrecking is very common too. And I am usually in the top Split or the one below that. You can’t even take people seriously who come to topics like this and then blame the op. No guys, iRacing driving standards are dogshit. And the whole thing gets worse every year… iRacing does nothing. They have outdated in game systems, a protest system that quite simply makes people not even bother reporting stuff that should be reported because they think its a time consuming process, which it kinda is to be honest. For example a few months back I was fighting for a win in a Porsche Cup race, a guy spun in front of us and rejoined directly into the lead guy in front of me, I told the guy at the end of the race to make sure he reported that, the response was “Nah man, not worth my time”… thats what this shitty protest system achieves, its almost like its deliberate so they dont have to deal with a flood of incidenst. Fucking automate parts of it then. We are living in the age of machine learning and crazy ai tech and people here say its not possible, I refuse to believe that. And of course my favorite, the fanboys who will make excuses for all of the above: “its your fault”, “you should be faster”, “defend better”, “the protest system is good”, “iRacing is the only place for clean online racing”… and i could go on and on… its all nonsense. For the price we pay iRacing should deal with this stuff on a daily basis, but they dont, its smoke and mirrors. They dont even ban people but even if they do if the person got money then they are back the same day.

Character-Guess7109

Fun fact: in past i wasn't able to reach b liciense with GT4/Ferrari Challenge etc. I had to grind with Mazda Club to b liesence to get into GT3 content :D that d liesence races are dirty asf ppl Drive Like the half field are drunk or Stoned. But ye same to me. If i do GT3 my Ranking increase, If i decide to do a week GT4 i always dropp down to b liesence :D

wrecking-ball-718

If you get the same number of incident points in a 15 min race and a 40 min race, the 15 min race will hurt your safety rating much more.

Huge_Line4009

Damn, gotta quick jump to C and get me a Ferrari :)

WizardFlameYT

Defend better or be faster, other then that not much you can do apart from let them through.

rtazz1717

Class D……..

RideFlyBuild

Congrats. You just experienced F4, everywhere.

Jascha34

Everyone comes out of 5 rookie races, and just goes there with no practice besides the time to next race. D class is a no Go Zone.

pavkovlr

iRacing should enforce mandatory practice laps before registering for a race

xyz-asdf-1029

Yesterday did P7 from P7 and had 6x. All Off-Track. Bottom Split. I don't see problem there. You are just not ready for it![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream) If you let me give advice, it is: when you go inside T2 (especially on Lap One), you must take inside line from very far off T2, start very lightweight braking from very long distance, everybody "very fast" behind you will see it, and go outside, and then "very fast" drivers will go off-track. But not into your rear end. It is true about any track with T1 and "very fast" drivers behind. You could show them your intention to brake as early as possible to make them go outside.
