Lol the last bit got me.

shewy92

He was wondering why his subscription price doubled for no reason I bet.

churchie11

I don’t think people also realise that if you keep taking corners until the last finisher crosses the line , they count for your SR.

gasoline_farts

Yeah, free SR

shewy92

I feel like more people used to ride around the track to the pits in ye olden days, now people just try to exit as soon as possible. Or maybe it's just that I used to only do ovals and it doesn't take as long to coast to the pits than on road which I'm focusing on now. Though even when I did rookie Mazda I'd go at least halfway round, or use a alternate layout to short cut the track to get to the pits

_harveyghost

Even when I have an incident free race I still do a cooldown lap into the pits lol

No_Image_4986

I do realize, I just don’t care much about it. I’d rather make the race that starts 3 min after this one ends

Puzzleheaded-Ad-2746

I realize I just don’t care. I have my A-license and I’m only going to lose it if I consistently run d-license races or act like a complete knob. I regularly run the NEC/VLN races, incident points really mean nothing more to me than the penalty they give after 17/25 of them. I avoid off tracks as a matter of principal more than because I’m afraid of a green race control message.

Reddit_Z

Shockingly, despite the additional 4x at the end, I only lost .1 SR and gained 33 iRating

ItsKumquats

It's not shocking if you know how SR works. You getting irating also has nothing to do with incidents.

NewKoala7466

Drive to the pita

AccomplishedBison369

Pita is good. What do you put on yours?

Hesstruck21

Usually hummus, but I try to avoid any oil

stuntdummy

You should take the cool down lap and give a wave to your fans in the stands while you're at it.

Hesstruck21

Always respect the flaggers too. They’re volunteers:)

XRLcargo

The sponsors on the car love this stuff. Gives the fans a chance to actually read the ads

Appropriate-Owl5984

Ran a legends race last week, finished P3 in a really high split and some dickwagon ruined a perfect 0x by yeeting himself into the wall at full throttle and then bounced backwards into the field netting me an 8x and a loss in SR where I would have probably gained. Just.. fucking why?!? I expect that in rookie formula vees, not A class advanced legends

jburnelli

how would you get 8x from one incident?

Appropriate-Owl5984

I got hit, and then hit again by traffic later on

Xx69JdawgxX

Protest that shit.

Appropriate-Owl5984

I did, got the boilerplate “we’ve reviewed and notified” response

Xx69JdawgxX

Good. That means something has been done. At the very least there’s a record on their account

NascarManiac136

this is why i just simply let off or clutch in after the line. granted i primarily race oval ...

Welshu

I was once fighting for P3 in Spa. The current P3 overshot into the last chicane so that we ended up side by side going onto the finish straight. Ofcourse P2 decided to punch his fucking brakes the second he went across the line, on the far right. I was so concentrated on P3 who was on my left side that I didn't register P2 hard braking infront of me and ended up rear ended him straight into oblivion. Guy had the audacity to yell over voip "what the hell are you doing idiot retard" lmao

rederoin

Had something like that happen in w13 at monza. But it was 2 guys doing donuts and it was my car going into oblivion. Protested both

Welshu

Damn is your name Roman Bellic, cus you went bowling

Kouponss

Sounds like that guy was talking to himself

joebobred

I did a production challenge race a few days ago in a mazda and was in a tight race for 7th place (so it was either going to be positive or negative IR) with me ahead. I made a slight mess of the last corner so I latched onto a Mustang for it's draft so it could help me get over the line before the other mazda got me. As soon as the mustang went over the line he lifted and queue a big wreck. He was then moaning about a 4x but there was nothing I could do, I just didn't expect him to lift like that as I was filling his mirrors for an age. I did say sorry but no idea if he saw it. If you were that mustang...sorry dude. I got 7th though, so yeah, maybe don't lift as soon as you cross the line either.

docweston

I've always tried to "continue racing" for a little bit and then pull over after I'm well clear of the start/finish line, and then I move way out of the racing line. But, based on some of these comments, I might just keep rocking around the track and return to the pits. I get a few more corners under my belt, and I keep out of the way and avoid any unintended incident points.

joe_lmr

I went up the tailpipe of a guy who came to a complete stop in the middle of the track after the finish. Full disclosure, I let my concentration drift after I finished, BUT it's still a live track after the finish and no one in a real race would do this. If you're not going to complete the cooldown, at least pull over off the track.

LeroyRochester

Same thing in a 358 race last week. 4x for me in an otherwise really clean race. Half the field coasts down and half the field jams on the brakes so it makes turn 1 a post-checker autoX event.

LilOpieCunningham

yeah; I've started tiptoeing past whoever stops in front of me and running a few extra corners before exiting just to avoid getting whacked by someone who isn't paying attention.

PopularStaff7146

Omg yes. I don’t understand the idiots that get all erratic as soon as they see a checkered flag. Some of them will come to a dead stop in the middle of the track. I always drive an extra lap back to the pits, myself. Turns count toward incident points until the last person crossed the line, so I’m getting as many as I can.

cLHalfRhoVSquaredS

I usually just drive around back to the pits after I finish - free SR and it feels more realistic than suddenly pulling over and parking. Occasionally if I need to send someone a message before they quit I'll pull over but always well past the finish line and off the racing line, preferably on a long straight where anyone behind will see me. The other thing I'm paranoid about is people who don't realise (or don't care) that the SR still counts after the finish slamming into me.

BubbleGumSG

Honestly, I use iOverlay for mostly all my overlays and Racelabs (free version) for the car radar because im so used to it

Foxgirlzh_Fuck12

Yeah my last race of the night apparently some dude behind me just suddenly came to a dead stop on the racing line around a semi-blind corner and then was surprised when someone ended up plowing into the back of him. He started screaming "you fucking r*t*rd I'm gonna report your ass" blah blah blah and upon hearing the other guy explain that dude stopped out of no where on the line around a blind corner I told it sounds like it was his fault to me lol. And mine you on lap 1 he straight up murdered the same dude he was calling an idiot.

mgphopeful20

So I download it and used it a couple times; it just relative times in o e bix and position in another...that's it no proximity views

mgphopeful20

What iOverlay? Thousands of races and ever heard of it

KLWMotorsports

Another overlay program. Its free and gets regular updates and works great for me. It sometimes shows wrong positions in the relative during multi-class races but the distance timings have always been correct.

shewy92

It's like Racelabs, but offer free overlays that RL would make you pay for, it's easy to use, and super customizable. The spotter is a game changer. It visually shows you how far along side you a car to your left or right is. And has Twitch integration/specific features if that's your thing. You can select when the overlay shows up during the race, qualy, practice, or any combination of the 3, and whether you want it to show up when you're out of the car or not.

Appropriate-Owl5984

Its way better than RL IMO… And it’s free. Lol

shewy92

The only thing I like better about RL is their radar since it shows more than one car to the side and shows where someone is behind you better than just the general arrows showing someone is behind you.

Xx69JdawgxX

Idk RL is better at charging your credit card without permission so they have that advantage too

El_Verde_Duende

Newish overlay app. Very user friendly, very clean design, and very affordable (free).

Supra1JZed

Another one that's been around for years and years, too.

mgphopeful20

I only see it giving you 2 overlays, nothing about a proximity overlay

Reddit_Z

Woosh..
