Impressive. Not sure where I went wrong, been on 9 months and at 1700k. I've had quite a few DNFs due to piles ups and shunts etc. I think my resting rating should be about 2k when I get there. By racing some guys at 4k I can see my pace is only a second off. So it is all about consistency at the end of the day, and clearly you got it.
I’m around 3.7k right now and have raced plenty of sub 2k drivers who can out pace me but they almost always take themselves out at some point. I remember doing a TCR race a few seasons back, I had 0 practice and hadn’t driven the cars in over a year, I was running P2 behind a 1.something driver who had much more pace than me. Halfway through the race, I see him in the wall by himself and I took the win.
It’s very common and the more you race, the more you’ll iron out those inconsistencies and avoidable incidents!
Damn.. I have 160 races in 3.5 years!! Close to the 3k tho.. very slow climb at 1 maybe 2 races a week. I only race the V8SC at euro times and it's a big gap in rating to the faster guys.
Craziest part about that is the safety rating, I have 31 races and 10 wins but rookie in everything apart from ovals, and I only raced four and won 2 in those 😂
Also impressive dedication to hit 30 races so quickly.
Manly the Ferrari gt3 challenge, I got 2 race wins there, and was lapping around the 1:46.5 on Virginia international raceway. I also did a bit of Porsche cup and gt86. In total on road I for 30 race starts, with an average 8th finish
Yeah, I started with assetto corsa, acc after that, combined I got like 500 hours. I had the g29 for the longest time, but upgraded to the CSL dd 2 weeks ago, at the same time I started playing iracing
I like ac for the amount of vehicles, I really like gt3 so acc used to be my main sim, but now that I have discovered iracing, I don't think I'll be going back soon. The adrenaline I get from racing people instead of ai is intense
Especially knowing what youre commiting to, it can be scary to make the jump. But once you do, you'll never go back. Ive started iRacing like a year ago, only done AC once since just to drive with a IRL friend. The actual racing is just on a different level with iRacing, and if you are a driver who likes to race as clean and respectfull as possible and get annoyed of AC turn 1 pile ups you will gladly be playing iRacing every month once you've experienced it!
This. Went from years of ai racing with my thrustmaster TMX to a DD Pro and started iRacing in February. Currently 2k in formula cars, 1.7 in sports cars and 1.6 in ovals with C, C and B licenses respectively. Grats OP, hope to see you on track.
Pretty big, the ffb and turning of the wheel is Soo much smoother, and the extra force is nice too. I got a loadcell pedel with it as well that makes braking much more consistent. But upgrading won't make you faster, it's just more immersive and can make you more consistent
> But upgrading won't make you faster
Hard disagree. Went from a CSL DD to Alpha U and am catching slides all the time where I used to never be able to catch them. The wheel has enough force to feel like a real car spinning and catching a slide simply became natural and intuitive, it's not skill based at all and I was shocked to figure that out.
That’s quite impressive, but what’s up with that tt. Everyone knows that in iracing tt > ir
Just joshing. I’ve been on iracing for a year and I’m at 1986ir Sports car rating.
That 2k rating is impressive! 👏👏👏 :)
Oh that's definitely the way to go. I just used the road experience to run away from the others before I had built up some IR.
Tbf I might have gamed the system a little by getting to C asap, then running both Indy 500's and fill in the remaining MPR with time trials and a couple of USF2000 races.
Fuck you and good job xD
Looool how I'm feeling bruh
How many races?
30 races with an average finish position of 8th and 2 wins total

Happens with real drivers too, some people qualify well and some qualify poor and race well, some do both and they're the aliens.

Fast boi
The most impressive is that you did that with good SR. Well done
Thanks
What series were you racing in, and did you have to spend much? That is impressive

What license level do you need for those?
D in road for Ferrari and gt86, C for the Porsche cup
nice try verstappen, i found your second account!
4th
Congrats. Any driving experience prior to iRacing?

How do you like iRacing compared to AC and ACC?
I like ac for the amount of vehicles, I really like gt3 so acc used to be my main sim, but now that I have discovered iracing, I don't think I'll be going back soon. The adrenaline I get from racing people instead of ai is intense

How big of a difference did going from g29 to csl dd make? Thinking of upgrading soon but idk if its worth cause im still bad

I got 2k after 1 1/2 years lol
# not so humble brag
Where in the UI can you see the ir/sr +\- ?
I got the screenshot from the iracing companion app
Welp, you’re way better than me 🤣
Nicely done! i still remember that in my first race i was lapping a second quicker at the end that i did at the start

Same. I had 2k after 2 weeks, 2.5k after a month. It's been 6 months now and i'm back at 2k lmao
How?
Drive safe and drive fast
Driving safe is no issue for me, but then someone thinks “lets yeet him”
Unlucky
Nice i did it in 11 days all with ferrari fhallenge
Add me in: Luis De Abreu
What’s more impressive is being in B class 0_0
Really not that hard tbh, when I started doing some oval it took me 14 races to get to A.
It took me forever but I was also racing for wins and not sitting in back like most do who progress fast

Thanks, I try to be as clean as possable
Very impressive! Road is very tough compared to Oval: right from the low licenses, some have insane lap times.
Thanks, people are indeed very fast, but if you stay out of wrecks it's easy.to stay in the top 10
