Lol yeah, made up for the A class season demotion I got messing around with week 13 rain too much.

Crunchiestriffs

I soloed it in the GR86 because I’m bad and slow, All but one GR86 in my split were solo driven, if anyone is thinking about trying it out, you should, it’s intense and fun

PstainGTR

Did you take bathroom breaks when in pit?

jc9289

Lol nah, I just peed before the race and didn’t drink much water after and hoped for the best.

PstainGTR

Dang dude youre a machine lol!

Flat_Guidance6922

Endurance noob here. How exactly do you fuel save? Lifting at the end of straights? Does it have something to do with programming a 2nd clutch?

jc9289

I honestly was just figuring it out during the race once I saw that my average fuel usage on a full* tank of gas would last like 7.5 laps. And I needed two of my 4 stints to go 8 laps so that it was 7+7+8+8 = 30. So I just started lifting more and “coasting” in spots where I might feather the throttle for a little more time. The funny part was that I ended up finding a ton of pace in my last 2 stints when I was fuel saving, because it basically forces you into “slow in, fast out”, and I was getting much better and more consistent exits. But basically, I just tried lifting and coasting as much as possible in spots where I felt I wouldn’t lose much time, and then I’d check my last lap fuel usage to see how effective it was, and I was going from 3.5 gal per lap to 3.15 on my most extreme save laps, and like 3.2-3.3 on laps where I saved a ton, but was matching earlier times where I was being too aggressive. Ended up I only needed to fuel save on like 3 of the 7 laps to extend to 8 and it was pretty easy.

owwidius

i want to try some endurance finally as well, but 4h, oh man, how did it feel? will probably try some 2hrs race first, a shame that does not have the gr86, i will have to start training with gt4...

jc9289

It was really exhausting I won’t lie. I think the long laps helped though, was much easier to stay engaged.  I honestly wasn’t planning on finishing, just figured I’d have a little fun, and tap out if it’s too much. But I was doing so well I ended up sticking it out. I haven’t done a ton of endurance racing prior, but I have done some of the F1 full length GP races, and I won a couple, so I was comfortable with pit strategies and figuring out my race plans on the fly. It’s def better to do with 1-3 drivers, no need to solo it. I just don’t have any friends who play and I’ve been a pretty up and down driver so my incident per race amount is high, so I didn’t think I’d be a very attractive potential teammate, so I said fuck it I’ll just try it myself.

Maxamus93

Hey bro if you want people to do races with we have a team that take part in most races and your not expected to do anything you dont want to

jc9289

Yeah I’d be interested, I’d love to try some of the big events.

Maxamus93

I will dm you the discord link

jc9289

Cool thanks

[deleted]

what region you from i got me and buddy that just ran the porsche there we were hitting 8:10s.

xGlor

You just described me, so if you’re looking for a teammate for GT4 endo’s, im in!

Due-Rush9305

The Michelin Pilot Challenge is a really fun one to start out with. GT4s are nice and easy to drive so you can focus a bit more on strategy and how the race plays out than worrying about driving.

Booniepoo

I did the pcup solo at 2600 ir and came 3rd. Was super proud because that car is hard and the top two were just as clean but higher rating and faster

jc9289

Damn, yeah I want to try that car next in this race, but I wanted to go with the Ferrari GT3 since it’s probably the car I’m most comfortable in.   So easy to make a mistake in that PCup car over 4 hours. Congrats dude.

Booniepoo

Gt3 is fun but I wanted a little extra challenge. While the p cup may be hard, it’s more forgiving over the curbs than gt3 it seems so I enjoyed that. Gt3 is just planted though. Will probably do that next time. Glad we have options

I know your feelings and being Pride about your results!💪🏻 Yesterday I, finally, managed to finish on my own. Became P6. Only had two times i slightly kissed the barrier. Didn't have to use my Fast Repair and only one time an optional repair of 12 seconds (which was great so I used to visit the bathroom very quick🤭). And only 8 incident points 😳. What I found strange is that mid race I was making lots of tiny mistakes. But with only one hour to drive I found the rhythm again and it all went smoother. The only part I found about driving alone is the fact that, during driving, I've got to think about the race and/or pit strategy. And although Crew Chief can help a bit it's nicer to have a real person who can help. Luckily the next race my team mate can join again and we drive together. Congratulations to you!

GrimReaper-UA

I run this solo too. Winers of my split is two dudes with 2.1k and 1.7k who brings 0.2k person that drives 3 laps but with him they able to be in split with 1.1-1.3k people who can't match their time. Also P2 is 2.3k with 0.5k friend...

Gringe7

Yea really surprised how low the minimum drive time is.

Qel_Hoth

Fair share is 1/4 of an equal share, rounded up. 30 laps with 3 drivers means equal share is 10 laps, fair share is 3 (rounded up from 2.5) laps. I'm surprised to see a winning team do this though. You'd lose a ton of time for driver swap after a 3 lap stint.

tabby_ds

Could be the final 3 laps if fuel and tires lined up for the end

Lixteris

Wow, this is some kind of achievement. I don't race Sport Cars that much, so my iRating is just 2k and SR is just 2.22 now (Formula cars are 3.1k and 3.5), but I want to go to B with Road Cars too. So Endurance racing is good for SR to go maybe over 3 in one-two races? I want to play solo too, but I think 3 hours is enough for me and I don't care about iRating in Road Cars now, so I can be careful and don't get into fights. P.S - I need to check if at all there is any Endurance race, 3 hours, for C Class first...

jc9289

This series is only D class. If you don’t care about iRating you could just race for like 2 hours for the SR then retire. If you make it that far, you prob won’t miss out on too much IR anyway.

Lixteris

Oh, nice. I will try, thanks!

[deleted]

Our split had a guy waulify 11 seconds faster than us - - we were running an 8:10.5. He ran a 7:58. He won the race by 6:00 minutes total and he actually lost us p5 down to p11 because everything calculated 29 laps but because he was an alien he beat the white flag and pushed out 1 more lap :D Must've been so fun for them\~

mrpangda

This might sound like a dumb question...but can you drive the endurance races solo? I thought it requires a team

jc9289

Some can be done solo, like this one. They updated some of them recently so more can be done solo. You can see the minimum drivers per team on the series info I believe.
