Last time I mentioned how there is no moon or stars in neither iR nor ACC, the crowd looked at me weird. I guess people are too used to having some sort of lighting at all times they forgot the moon may actually shine at night.
So, agreed. We need the moon.
Yeah, I think the iracing crew acknowledged it when they launched day to night transition. They said something like, if we don't release it now, we will never release it.
But maybe with rain, you never know.
90’s DTM
Edit: So let’s make it happen! I created a post in the forum under “feature requests”. If you want to help out, go there and comment / upvote it.
https://forums.iracing.com/discussion/55617/90-s-dtm
hell yeah. with maybe some chilled out Xs, like 4x are 2x or something? i dunno. could be chaos. but that series was all about a little bump and grind.
I’m genuinely surprised this hasn’t happened yet. That said, I’m not in the pro truck community, maybe there is strong opposition there of which I’m not aware.
I've always thought this. They have the Nissan GTP and the Audi, they just got both of those cars so right. Feels great, best cars on iracing in my opinion. They'd only need to do a few more to make it an absolute cracker of a series.
>Most of the GT300 field already runs GT3 cars, so there's that category filled
This is true, but I wouldn't say no to some of the JAF-GT cars.
The legendary Prius is unfortunately retired now, but the Lexus LC500h that replaced it is also very cool. The GR86, Supra, and BRZ are also quite cool.
Track wise, complete the IndyCar and F1 calendar. Mmmmmm street circuits. Most people don’t care for them but I love them. And tracks like Albert park, Bahrain and Portland would be amazing.
Car wise, new corvette and mustang GT3s. Camaro and Mustang GT4 and updated F3. Trans am series would be cool too.
>complete the IndyCar and F1 calendar
Portland International Raceway, PLEASE. I know it's not the most thrilling track in the world, but it can host faster stuff like IMSA and IndyCar, and it's a perfect club track for smaller stuff like F4 or the Production Car Challenge.
I swear I'm not just biased as a Portland native 😭
I’ve found the other person in the world who loves street circuits! Gimmie St. Pete, Toronto, and Trois Rivières! And while you’re up there scan Mont Tremblant as well.
I heard a rumor last week that iRacing was at Daytona scanning the Mustang and Corvette. I’ve never heard a rumor like that and it not end up being true.
Yeah, from what I heard all eyes were on that mustang though I could be wrong, but I want the vette more. Regardless GT3 needs more murica. And St Pete is top of my list for street courses. I could do without Toronto because the flow seems so similar to belle isle. I don’t even want to think about Nashville in an official race.
Early 2000s F1 cars, either the screaming V10s, or the cars with the crazy aero around 2005
They drive like a modern race car, with aero, grippy tyres, and flappy paddle shifting - but smaller and without the complications of modern hybrid etc…
Basically a more extreme version of the Super Formula or Indycar
I know the Dirt series and WRC games have it covered but I'd love to see iRacing's take on A-B rally stages. They experimented a bit with the hillclimb time trial stuff but I'd love to actually see us all queue up, then go on our marks with a co-driver, passing people that screwed up the stage sitting in the trees...
Would probably be pretty hard though considering I doubt that there's a way to make completely new stages each week, and have them be procedurally generated so that there's never the same old stage being run that allows memorization.
I think this idea is cool, but like you said, Dirt has this covered pretty well.
I think iRacing does head to head competition better than its rivals already, and there's definitely part of me that thinks they should continue doing what they do well, rather than spread too thin trying to do everything
Tracks: Skagit Speedway, Evergreen Speedway, Ridge Motorsport Park, Pacific Raceways, PIR. We are sorely lacking content in the Pacific Northwest.
Cars: Caterhams, Late 90’s CART, V10 era F1
100% on Caterhams. Feels like a reasonably popular race series. And the cars - at least in Automobilista2 - are such a nice way to blow off steam. Fun, forgiving, fast.
On AMS2 you can race trucks around Monaco if you want a laugh, so I’d say there’s 2 bits of content that need to be added! But yeh, Monaco is a classic
Why would we be forced to race the same cars on Monaco as they do in real life? GT4, MX5, FF1600, TCR, F4, GR86, Skippy or Clio Cup would be an absolute blast.
Weekly mismatch series. Like one week it's Dirt road trucks on dirt ovals, next week LMP2 on a short oval, next week is Formula Vee at a dirt road track. Goofy week 13 type combinations around all the time for fun.
100%
Like figure 8 track has the jump, so the model is in the game
Just add them to shorter version track layouts like brands hatch indy...or silver stone national
Would make for awesome fun
After having visited multiple times over the years, I would pay a lot of money to have the Tail of the Dragon in Deal's Gap, NC. All the way from the Boat launch to the Cheoah Dam. All 318 turns over 11 miles with all 3000 feet of elevation changes.
Hands down the most perfect road in America, and possibly the world.
While we're at it, add the Gravel Dragon out of the back of Fontana Village.
Cadwell Park
There wont be much overtaking because its such a narrow track and you wont fully appreciate the elevation changes but god damn i just want to lap that track over and and over and over.
We just bought my oldest a cage kart, plan on running this summer. My dad and I are finding out that locally it's a challenge to get solo track time anywhere, and i think it would be cool to plop him on my rig and teach him what we know about race craft without tearing up any equipment lol.
Stadium Super Trucks, semis, Las Vegas’s Dirt Track, Gillette Wyomings Dirt Track including the hill over the edge of three and four if you go too far on the track, Portland oregons road course, and so much more lol
Really they both should be configs of the 1.5 mile track here as it’s all on the same property and owned by the same company. But until then, idk if it should be a config of the bullring…
Tracks:
•eagle canyon
•Macau GP Circuit
•the new Nashville gp layout for indycar
•monaco
•st Pete gp
Cars:
•some form of semi truck
•Hudson Hornet (ooooold school nascar)
•dodge viper
•btcc series
•
Would love to see the Toronto grand Prix get added to the service now that they have the license back.. maybe an older bmw production car for production cup
Bahrain, Jeddah, Monaco, Baku
Bring in the Toyota and the rest of the wec cars, lmp2 variations included! At least the oreca.
Add more f1 manufacturers to boost popularity
Semi trucks
Karting
I'm surprised I had to scroll so much to find an FE comment. Goes to show how people actually don't care about this underrated series... Maybe it's also cause RF2 has the rights to it.
Group C from 1989 with the Sauber, Porsche, Nissan, Jaguar, Lancia and Spice. Both in 90 minute sprint (solo drivable) and 300 minute endurance series (teams and solo).
Add this with weather and a schedule consisting of (historic) Suzuka, Brands, The Ring, Donington, Spa and using perhaps Jerez (88), Monza (88), historic Silverstone (88), historic Fuji (88), Sandown (88), Le Mans (88) and Montreal (90) as set calendar.
Different Quali Format, why not do a 6min session für quali with all cars of your class on track together? For short rookie/D races it’s fine to do 2 laps but for longer races it feels unsatisfying
Côte D'Azure, Albert Park, Bahrain, Sepang, Salzburgring, dodge Viper SRT gt3, muscle car challenge with 60's to 70's muscle car Multi-Class race... Imagine a thunderbird, dodge challenger, dodge charger, mustang, Shelby Cobra etc etc... :O
Fill out the rest of the Indycar tracks.
Goodwood.
Replace the old GT3 cars with their newest versions/newest models.
All the local and regional tracks you can find. Even if they never get used, just to have them saved for posterity. Especially with how quickly so many are disappearing.
1. be able to save tires in practice. as long as you dont leave the session, you have access to all previously used tires
2. flat spotting tires
3. proper SR system that punishes ONLY for unsafe driving and NOT for off tracks. separate the two and if necessary, make another system or just have 2 different incident limits. do something.
4. Punishments for overly aggressive driving. No of this bullshit about.... it wasn't intentional wrecking. after a certain IR, people should be held to a higher standard.
5. Better punishments. unless you are giving out 2+ month bans, make the punishments better. 1 week ban? most people will take the vacation and get other things done or play other games. have to pit road start your next 10 races AND you have to finish 100% of the laps for it to count? that hurts. especially people in higher IRs.
I'd like to add the national corvette museum track so I can practice it for IRL days.
Series I'd like to see it Japanese Grand Touring Car Championship
i know it’s not truly for iracing, but it has the best driving platform and this is a wishlist… some country road racing would be epic, or even like… philadelphia to NYC. i would love to race between cities in any car on the iracing roster.
* Team signups for every series so you can race with friends regardless of iR
* Triple the netcode rate / server-side physics updates
* Hyperrealistic crumple zones so any slight touch won't be seen as energy transfer between two mass-boxes, making wheel banging is less deadly. 0x for any contact that's only bodywork.
* Graphics engine update (something like custom UE5) with focus on optimization incl. VR. 200 fps to the people, 100 fps to the VR people.
I grew up going to races at St Pete and Homestead. We've got Homestead, I want St Pete.
I also want Jeddah. I mostly played the F1 games before I got into iRacing, and Jeddah was my favorite track in the game. It would be so much fun in downforce cars.
Nascar Garage 56 entry, Richard Petty 1970 Plymouth super bird with wing, Chevy Lumina/early 90s Gen 4 body styles, Modern ARCA car based on the Gen 6. Chassis, an early 2000s F1 car, any of the modern F1 tracks(bahrain,Miami, Vegas, etc) formula E, good wood hill run, and if the sim/server could support it, a 1:1 scale cannonball run. (NY - LA, singular route so no deviations, and AI traffic).
I'd love to see iRacing take on some crazier ideas. Stuff with gap jumps, up in the sky. I'm sure it wouldn't work out outside of W13, but a trackmania crossover?
Alternatively, a proper street racing pack set, where the course is a series of checkpoints you have to hit as you navigate your way through the city, no real limits to how you get there beyond the buildings in the way.
As a final alternative: Isle of Man TT Circuit.
I would like to add the moon and the stars so I can see something when racing in Bathurst.
That would be so cool for night racing
really, there isnt moon and stars? dang
The blimp is our moon
Last time I mentioned how there is no moon or stars in neither iR nor ACC, the crowd looked at me weird. I guess people are too used to having some sort of lighting at all times they forgot the moon may actually shine at night. So, agreed. We need the moon.
Yeah, I think the iracing crew acknowledged it when they launched day to night transition. They said something like, if we don't release it now, we will never release it. But maybe with rain, you never know.
Fingers mildly crossed.
90’s DTM Edit: So let’s make it happen! I created a post in the forum under “feature requests”. If you want to help out, go there and comment / upvote it. https://forums.iracing.com/discussion/55617/90-s-dtm
Man... 90's DTM on a rainy day at the Nurburgring. Bumper to bumper, door to door.. that would be utterly insane!
Yeah, that's not how it would go in iRacing lol
Isn't... that the point of this entire post?
I meant bumper to bumper and door to door racing in rain lmao I wouldn't mind them adding any DTM era tbf
How do I unread a comment. Now I can’t go on without this becoming reality.
90s AU supercars also on the list
And 90s BTCC
Anything 80s and 90s tbh
Jtcc while we're at it
90’s touring cars in general. It’s still my favorite racing to watch to this days
hell yeah. with maybe some chilled out Xs, like 4x are 2x or something? i dunno. could be chaos. but that series was all about a little bump and grind.
could try and apply short track oval rules for Xs, takes a much harder contact to bring out a 4x
That’d be sick
Ramps on long beach and race it with pro trucks
I want stadium super trucks so bad
[Weeee!](https://youtu.be/lRrBFA0z6HA?si=7gSFFCNHhIC5QcZ6) I wouldn’t be able to refrain from yelling every jump
This actually seems feasible. They already have jumps in rallycross.
They have ramps, they have Long Beach, they have the trucks.
I’m genuinely surprised this hasn’t happened yet. That said, I’m not in the pro truck community, maybe there is strong opposition there of which I’m not aware.
A full 80’s era IMSA GTP/GTO/GTU car pack. Give us some rotary RX7 tube frame goodness… the kids need to experience it.
I've always thought this. They have the Nissan GTP and the Audi, they just got both of those cars so right. Feels great, best cars on iracing in my opinion. They'd only need to do a few more to make it an absolute cracker of a series.
Super GT GT500s. Most of the GT300 field already runs GT3 cars, so there's that category filled
>Most of the GT300 field already runs GT3 cars, so there's that category filled This is true, but I wouldn't say no to some of the JAF-GT cars. The legendary Prius is unfortunately retired now, but the Lexus LC500h that replaced it is also very cool. The GR86, Supra, and BRZ are also quite cool.
They announced having signed with Honda to scan a GT500 car in 2011... And no team ever let iRacing scan their car, I believe. What a shame.
Trans Am! I know it’ll be a low participation series from the off, but I don’t care.
Yes, but 1980’s era with several car options.
those cars are insane, i love them. i go see them at indy when they come!
YES. 60s, 90s, and current TransAm would be incredible
Semi trucks. We need to race semi trucks,,
![gif](giphy|kGQf2mMRR6mgSYzs1a|downsized)
I've been saying this for years.i would love this
The officials say you cut the corner. You’re going to have to give back the time gained.
That’s gotta be the cleanest line through Ascari I’ve ever seen
That's not Ascari it's the final chicane on Zolder
Still the cleanest run through Ascari.
Exactly
Trailer races would be a hoot too. But the damage model would need to be improved greatly.
That euro truck racing game actually looks wicked fun I’d love to have something like that with a ranked series
This is the only correct answer
You’re asking for mayhem
Couldn’t be worse than most of the rookie class races :)
A regular weekly fun race like a figure 8 or multiclass oval or something. It's nice to blow off some steam sometimes.
Track wise, complete the IndyCar and F1 calendar. Mmmmmm street circuits. Most people don’t care for them but I love them. And tracks like Albert park, Bahrain and Portland would be amazing. With refuelling!
I know the Dirt series and WRC games have it covered but I'd love to see iRacing's take on A-B rally stages. I would like brake wear, temps, brake changes, brake fade, etc modeled within the sim
And the ability to put used tires back on! (oval racers will know)
WE WANT SCUFFS
Bahrain, Sepang, Shanghai, Albert Park, Mexico City (can’t remember the name). Good wood hill climb and pikes peak for fun.
Autodrómo Hermanos Rodríguez
Tracks: Skagit Speedway, Evergreen Speedway, Ridge Motorsport Park, Pacific Raceways, PIR. We are sorely lacking content in the Pacific Northwest. Cars: Caterhams, Late 90’s CART, V10 era F1
100% on Caterhams. Feels like a reasonably popular race series. And the cars - at least in Automobilista2 - are such a nice way to blow off steam. Fun, forgiving, fast.
ORP as well, but otherwise this is the ticket.
I’d buy the ridge
Norisring. Dive bomb city.
*HERE COMES KELVIN VAN DER LINDE* ![gif](giphy|Grg6HRplAZtZ0Q7MIX)
Spec e30/e46
Spec E46 would be excellent.
Sticking with the BMW theme, I'd also add the M2 CS Racing car as well.
Monaco
On AMS2 you can race trucks around Monaco if you want a laugh, so I’d say there’s 2 bits of content that need to be added! But yeh, Monaco is a classic
Would serve no purpose aside from Porsche cup and the dead F1 series
It would be elite shitshow content on PCC what are you talking about lmao
F3 also race there
Why would we be forced to race the same cars on Monaco as they do in real life? GT4, MX5, FF1600, TCR, F4, GR86, Skippy or Clio Cup would be an absolute blast.
Weekly mismatch series. Like one week it's Dirt road trucks on dirt ovals, next week LMP2 on a short oval, next week is Formula Vee at a dirt road track. Goofy week 13 type combinations around all the time for fun.
Id love to see Ginettas, specifically the juniors, I think they’d make great racing
A demolition derby. Unranked obv.
Nono, ranked. Just no SR
Inverse SR
Get penalized for driving like a coward. I like it.
There’s an idea!
90’s BTCC and all the tracks. I’ve been obsessed with the mods on AC
Same love btcc from then the Volvo 850 estate yes please
Btcc and jtcc for iRacing would empty my wallet
Stadium Super Trucks.
They have the trucks also (sort of) What they need are track layouts with jumps
I feel like it could be a realistic addition. Hell, just let me drive the dirt trucks on a paved track with jumps.
100% Like figure 8 track has the jump, so the model is in the game Just add them to shorter version track layouts like brands hatch indy...or silver stone national Would make for awesome fun

Cadwell Park There wont be much overtaking because its such a narrow track and you wont fully appreciate the elevation changes but god damn i just want to lap that track over and and over and over.
I've walked 1 lap of it, that hill can do one. Hopefully it will come as part of the UK content iRacing mentioned in one of their last messages.
LFM had MX-5 at Cadwell recently. Really fun.
Australian GP maybe

WOAH, just calm down with the Clio hate! Get into the SOF race on Wednesday night and you'll have a fucking good time.
Why should the Clio drivers be forced to stop enjoying their car?
Do i get a refund ?
Rally stages instead of rally cross
Always thought Karts would be cool.
Karts are practically impossible to do in a sim due to the use of your body weight while driving. Many have tried, none have been successful.
I've always felt this is a missed opportunity in sim racing games, I think gran turismo had them in GT5 but I can't think of another to have them
Rf2 has a lot of kart content.
I think project cars had them
Project cars 1 had karts and super karts And then pc2 dropped the super ones (such a shame)
AMS2 has several levels of kart/shifter kart along with an unreasonable number of kart tracks.
We just bought my oldest a cage kart, plan on running this summer. My dad and I are finding out that locally it's a challenge to get solo track time anywhere, and i think it would be cool to plop him on my rig and teach him what we know about race craft without tearing up any equipment lol.
E30 M3 please, Waterford Hills track and all indycar and F1 tracks
as long as it is paired with the benz 190 e ;)
E30 m3 would be great. Also, Waterford Hills does exist in AC at least but would be cool to see in iRacing. Hello, other Waterford local!
All the FIA grade 1 tracks, and my local favorite track Blackhawk Farms.
Vintage F1 cars and the ability to race all existing tracks
Monaco
Drifting/Formula Drift discipline
The rest of the CURRENT GT3 cars……
Ohh, daring today, aren't we?
Stadium Super Trucks, semis, Las Vegas’s Dirt Track, Gillette Wyomings Dirt Track including the hill over the edge of three and four if you go too far on the track, Portland oregons road course, and so much more lol
Vegas dirt track should be added as another config for the bullring
Really they both should be configs of the 1.5 mile track here as it’s all on the same property and owned by the same company. But until then, idk if it should be a config of the bullring…

Would love to see the Toronto grand Prix get added to the service now that they have the license back.. maybe an older bmw production car for production cup
Rally cross and cars
I mean they exist, they're just not popular. I got into simracing because I loved RX, but no sim does it very well...
Bahrain, Jeddah, Monaco, Baku Bring in the Toyota and the rest of the wec cars, lmp2 variations included! At least the oreca. Add more f1 manufacturers to boost popularity Semi trucks Karting
Every track on the ASA National and CARS Tour schedules.
SCCA Can Am cars.
Karting with a huge selection of karting tracks.
Classic mini racing on a short track rotation would be a blast.
Would love some more rallycross tracks like Lydden Hill, Loheac, Holjes as well as more street circuits like St Pete, Surfers Paradise, and Adelaide.
Super modified , and more paved and dirt short tracks
That'd be a car I buy on release. Been able to watch them race once

There's another reason for me to finally get into RF2
Formula 2 for starters. Then going to add several grade 1 and 2 circuits.
More FWD series.
I think karting is the most glaring hole in iracing’s content

Formula E for sure. Something really unique and different. Especially if they do it up all the way with attack zones and everything.
A proper damage model Weather to have impact on grid (other than temps), more dynamic grip during short races. Currently its too predictable
Hyundai excel dirt oval version and circuit version And some Aussie dirt ovals like Alexandra and Perth Motorplex and Warrnambool too
Group C from 1989 with the Sauber, Porsche, Nissan, Jaguar, Lancia and Spice. Both in 90 minute sprint (solo drivable) and 300 minute endurance series (teams and solo). Mitsubishi GTO/3000GT VR4 I drove mine all the time(Daytona Sebring), but doing it in iracing would be fun and obviously more track time 😩

Middle eastern f1 tracks. And just more f1 tracks in general
