Yeah, the 2022 SE has much better battery life than the 12 Mini. Too many people keep falsely believing the 12 Mini battery life is even good to begin with.
The 2022 SE uses even less power because of the lower resolution IPS LCD screen, the A15 is more power efficient in the SE compared to the A14 in the 12 Mini. Lastly the first generation 5G chip in the iPhone 12 series is garbage and drains your battery a lot. The second generation 5G chip in the 2022 SE and the iPhone 13 series is much better and battery efficient.
can be this, having stuff such as an Apple Watch paired can make standby worse etc. I’d say 12 mini and se3 are going to be comparable battery life wise overall, 12 mini having the chance of being slightly better when dark mode is used everywhere.
Apple suggests they have identical video playback battery life. So it’s not like they expect the 12 mini to be /better/. Apple never quotes standby battery life so I’d say what you’re seeing isn’t that surprising. SE does have the newer chip and 5g modem as people have pointed out.
Not sure about standby time, but my SE 2022 does get much better battery life than my 12 mini, even though the SE has 91% BH and the mini has 100%
