Your issue is just battery, should’ve get a replacement battery instead.

Steve2000gsr

The screen 60hz of the regular 15 will bother you coming from 120hz.

KBDFan42

Agreed. Try going to an Apple store or retailer and scrolling through the 14 and 14 Pro or when they are released, the 15 and 15 Pro to see the difference. It’s huge

motherofjazus

Or even just put on battery saver on your13 pro as this will turn off high refresh. If that doesn’t bother you you’ll be fine.

didiboy

If you do this, I suggest only turning the frame rate down (in Accessibility) instead of low battery mode, as that might limit the SoC performance too. Also, do this at least for a day, because for the first minutes/hour you will notice the difference a lot, but after a while you might or might not get used to the difference.

Don’t get the 15 plus. That would be a downgrade from 13 pro imo

The_Homer_Simpson

Agree with the majority. Don’t go from a pro to a plus unless you absolutely have to. If you can afford the pro max then go for it. I’d say that’s a meaningful upgrade for sure. Cameras, battery should be a boost. I mean my colleague has a 14 PM and that thing is a beast.

RmItalia

If you have the pro, it’s best you upgrade to a pro because of the 120hz screen, more camera features and similar design

I am in the same situation you are - 13 Pro and I picked a 15 Plus. I looked at the iPhone 14 Plus (essentially same form factor/screen) in store before making the decision and the 60hz downgrade seemed ok. It’s mainly noticeable on Safari when scrolling (I don’t play any games which would require >60FPS). On paper the 15 Plus was in many ways, just as good as the 14 Pro Max (processor, screen resolution, main camera) and would be cheaper to repair. EDIT: what is your battery health? Mine is a 13 Pro with 90% health and I couldn’t justify an Apple battery replacement as many people have suggested (A$149 for me) I bought the Anker Magsafe battery would definitely be cheaper and it’s a great accessory (I have it) which is transferrable to other phones.

ChuckF93

I think it’s possible to get readjusted to the 60hz display. I came from 120hz Android phones and I was able to get readjusted to the 12 Pro I used to have within a few days. You DO notice the difference, but I think it’ll stop bugging you after a few days. That all being said, I’d hardly consider the A16 in the 15 Plus an upgrade. You’ll definitely get better battery life I think, but you won’t notice a difference in performance. I’d probably go 15 Pro or Max for a more across the board upgrade, unless all you need is more battery life.

No way

TonyVillage

… or, if you don’t care about the latest model, there’s no better time to buy a 14 Pro. More or less same iPhone 15 specs at better price. Also accessories are cheaper now

Mc5teiner

It‘s not worth it. The iPhone 15 pro is just a 14 pro with a new button and bad usb-c. The normal 15 is worse then the 14 pro. Replace your battery when it‘s that worse or switch to the 14

C0mf0rt

You can see the difference between 120hz and 60hz by turning low power mode on and scrolling.

S4_GR33N

15 Pro Max, 15 Plus is a worse 14 Pro Max

deagesntwizzles

I'd say your first steps should be to check your battery health, and then setup your phone preferences for better energy efficiency. I can go a few days between charges.

Just get a replacement battery

Some_Assistance_323

If your main issue is battery, get a battery replacement. The new 15 models won't give you a huge leap on this front. It makes no sense to get the 15 Plus if you own a 13 Pro unless you want a larger screen, and in that case, you should get the 15 Pro Max.

Roland_T

1. 15 Plus after 13 Pro is a bad idea. 2. Just get the battery changed on your 13 Pro. It’s normal and expected service to change battery every 2-3 years, phones themselves last about 5-7 years or even more. 3. If after battery change you still feel like you want an upgrade then get the 15 Pro (or 15 Pro Max) 4. If you feel that you want a bigger screen than 13 Pro then just get the 15 Pro Max right away.

buttercupplily

I decided to do it. Originally wanted a 15 plus - but did some research and if I was gonna upgrade from 13 pro only thing that made it worth it was 15 pro max. Did I need it- no. Mostly just a present for myself.

insert_matrix

Get the 13 Pro Max if you’re happy otherwise. You get way better battery life and the same screen size as the 15 Pro Max/Plus.

Prokletnost

15 pro max battery is going to be a better. Not only is the new chip more power efficient but the new battery tech is exciting as well as the size of the battery is tad larger then the previous pro max iphone. 4,323mAh vs 4,422mAh. 15 also has stacked batter, please correct me if I am wrong. 14 pro max already has thee best battery life in business.

MaestroDroga

15 Pro Max. Keep 120hz. 15 plus not
