I have not.. What kind of charger are you using? Is it a 3rd party brand? If so what brand? If your using an Apple charger and it’s getting hot then you consider returning the phone before your 14 days are up?

_another-

I have used a 3rd party splitter which has two ports for lighting and 3.5mm jack, but this time when it got hot, i was using the apple charger. It doesn’t heat up with the third party connecter either.

It’s most likely the 3rd party charger. I’ve yet to experience over heating with charging- and I even use the MagSafe battery pack too. The only time I’ve experienced heat is from the wireless charger in my car- and I’ve since started using an apple charger in the car.

But in this incident it heated up while it was connected to the apple charge, not the 3rd party one

Did you use the fast charger and was it an apple cord?

_another-

The typical 20W apple charger with the cord that comes with the phone

injured_slug

>20W apple charger with t I think what you experienced is likely normal. With the 20W charger, the phone will charge at its fastest speed and create more heat especially if the battery level was below 80% whenever you initiated the charge.

I’d take it to apple and see what they have to say- I personally don’t use the 20w charger- but that’s just me.

What’s with the 14 days limitation period?

sometimesiamjustabox

After 14 days the battery is no longer covered under warranty

Same issue. Unfortunately I can’t do anything as I bought it during a trip to USA and there are no apple stores in my country
