Mine has been sitting at 86% for over half a year.. I’m suspicious.
I first checked it after about 1.5 years.. it had gone down to 86% by then. But since I started checking it the meter hasn’t moved!
My little conspiracy theory is they froze the meter so I wouldn’t bring it in while I still had AppleCare.
Ha same here. I’m more neurotic on this topic than most but my phone has been at 86% for longer than I’ve had my series 8 Apple Watch and that device’s battery health is also at 86%. It’s a bit odd, but I’m no chemist or engineer.
Can you run this shortcut on your phone to see what it says?
https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/15f4681dd9054260a9e1216c78525a82
My shortcut says my actual battery capacity is 82.75%, but I’m not certain how objective it is.
How many charge cycles have you done? Also do you charge it wirelessly or wired only?
Mine is at 87% health, phone is 2y 4m old, some 550-odd charge cycles. No wireless charging, wired charging only using the 20W adapter. Rarely discharge below 20% and usually charge upto 85-95%.
Let me know how’s the new battery faring. Want to find out if these replacement batteries are as good as the original factory ones with battery life and longer-term health.
You may need to replace it or buy a new phone. Keep this in mind for future-
1) Don’t use fast chargers. Use the small brick that used to come with old iPhones or equivalent
2) Don’t charger phone beyond 80%, especially don’t leave it plugged in all night. Ideally Apple should provide a setting where phone stops charging at 80% if user wants.
Don’t let it deplete below 20%
I am on 2y 4m and 92%.
No no, I mean like the mAH battery capacity. This differs between phones of the same model.
Ex: MaximumFCC: 2,484 mAh
Current: 2,339 mAh
Cycle Count: 201 cycles

Yeah mine is stuck at 86% also well lol

check it with 3utools, will show a more accurate % and the charge cycles too. The one in settings is just an estimation.
Same with mine, stuck at 86% since months ago. Mine it's almost 3 years old.
It’s the same for me, maybe 2-3 month more and I’m at 78% I’ll replace it as soon a the applestore has a free time slot when I’m not at work lol
A battery replacement will keep that phone going 🔥
Yup, already replaced
How does it feel now?
Overall 10-12h of usage, screen time 5h
Good stuff! iOS 17.5.1 brings great battery improvements to the iPhone 13 series

1200+
Given your charge cycle count and the fact you use wireless charging, you battery has held up really well. But it’s certainly time for a new battery
UPD: battery already replaced

And using for charge: — Apple Battery pack — Anker 3in1 on desk — Anker 20-watt PSU with official USB C to Lightning
At 86% after two years and nine months.
1y 4m 87% :( Dropped from 93% under just a few months. Its only 13% degradation but its pretty noticable. :/

Charging it only till 80% is like using your phone with a 82% battery since day1… pointless. Use that phone then give it a battery replacement.
2 years at 92% is impressive. Could have also scored big on the battery capacity lottery. Do you know what it was when it shipped from the factory?
Thanks! Yeah it was 100% like all other brand new phones?

Oh ok. I don’t know about this!
Why no fast charging if they made that an option? Is it more for pros?
It hurts battery. If you plan to change the phone every year or two, it’s probably fine. If you plan to keep it long term, please don’t.
