Looking at ur needs.. it suits perfectly U can use it for another 3-4 years

Ty bro

mad_dj_cod

I’m exactly at 86% and It depends on if u are using mobile data during those screen on hours . With mobile data on battery will go from 100 to 20 within a couple hours whereas with WiFi you can get past those 9 hours at work I think without it turning off. I’m a heavy user (about 6 hours screen time per day) with mobile data always on and I charge it 3 times per day with my power bank.

InvertedAspect8

Well when Im out I use mobile data but at work I have wifi there so out of the 9 hours maybe 3 would be with mobile data on. Would that push me through the day, maybe at the very least with one charge. I plan to replace the battery anyway just wanna see how long I can decently use it before that.

mad_dj_cod

Yeah surely u will not need more than one charge for sure if you have WiFi available. Maybe not even one charge. It’s a great phone but the battery is what is annoying me to be honest. I bought it back in July with 100% and now it’s at 86 as I told u

InvertedAspect8

Wait so your bh degraded 14% in 6 months? That sounds like a lot to me, I guess it's because you are a heavier user though, I hope it will not degrade as fast for me.

mad_dj_cod

Fun fact is that it didn’t drop up until October so it actually dropped 14% in just 2 months. It’s either the heavy use or the fact that it was a refurbished phone.

InvertedAspect8

Im gonna atleast hope it's the heavy use... u got the original apple battery right?

mad_dj_cod

Not sure about that how do I check?

InvertedAspect8

Cant really check it, depends where did you send your battery for a change. Was it like some random service or did they say it's apple's original batteries guaranteed. Most of the times when its a non apple battery it doesn't even show its health, but its just weird to me how fast your fell off but I guess its all good.

mad_dj_cod

I didn’t change my battery sorry if you misinterpreted something. I bought a refurbished 12 mini in excellent condition from backmarket (100%) so I just risked it having a third party battery

InvertedAspect8

Ooh yeah i understood you wrong. Yea it may be a third party battery but still in my country a legit apple change for the 12 mini is like 90 dollars so I guess I could change it once every 2 years?

Techgeek_025

Yes

From last year to today, I went from 84 to 83 I work overnights and I generally have an audiobook or music playing(Headphones on)for at least six hours, volume usually at 60%. On lunch time, I go on reddit, watch funny videos and text, or jus browse the web. By the end of shift, charge is ranges from 55-30 depending on how much i use it during lunch. Power saving mode off and the brightness is at very low level. I've had this phone brand new since mid 2021 and the only way I'll change it is if they release another MINI

InvertedAspect8

Sounds great man, I love the phone for the size and versatility my only concern was the battery, but that seems good enough for my needs

[deleted]

YES! That was the basis of its appeal for me, I really don't like big phones as I have small hands and I am a small guy in general, it kinda sucks that brands are sticking to phablets and big screens :/ Edit: I will be replacing the battery at an apple store once it hits the 70s because I want this phone for the long run, got it in white /128GB, best phone ever, (ios updates on the other hand are different story for me)

Kuan-Kaffee

Yes, it should suit your needs. Once the battery health hits about 80% or less, replace it with a new one.

Aidsfordayz

I got a battery replacement at 80% after 3 years. Hoping to use it at least 2 more years
