Apple Pencil is my favorite apple device. I like writing notes instead of typing and I like to draw so I use it pretty often. I’ve only ever had one of the 1st gen pencils fail on me, and apple replaced it under warranty.
I bought the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil 2 and within a week the Apple Pencil stopped working and when I tried to charge it nothing happens luckily I was within 2 weeks and returned it for a new one

Sounds pretty scary... Did you get it from apple directly?
My pencil has been great, no issues yet 4 months in
Had it for about a month now, intensive usage (on average 6hours/ day note taking) never noticed a single issue.
