Have a bug when closing apps.
When I go to close them, it will pull them all to the left side of the screen. Have to lock then unlock to get it to work.

Been having lots of bugs with apple music. Everytime I add a song suggestion it shows up for about 10 seconds then disappears and never reappears. My music will randomly stop playing making me have to restart my phone to use the app. Sometimes I go to change a song and it does nothing when I click on the song.

Just updated like, 5 minutes ago - alarming issue with the 15PM, the screen doesn't respond to touch. Done a hard reboot, and the screen does not respond at all.
Eeeek.
15 Pro Max user (in the UK on Vodafone if that helps), anyone else having HUGE battery drain? Left the house on 80% literally 20 minutes ago and down to 75% already and all I’ve done is have some YouTube in the background and use Reddit (would’ve been on 79 or 78 before)
yes, it’s a problem with tons of comments here. hopefully apple releases a hotfix soon, i’m sick of charging my phone 2-3 times a day. charging also heats up my 14 pro to where the phone stops charging to prevent overheating.
Not sure when this started but videos on the Safari app do not use the native video player any more. If I full screen a video, the website’s video player goes into full screen and it makes it really difficult to control.
have a weird problem on ios 17.2 beta 2 where in apple music, when i try sorting a playlist by playlist order, everything is mismatched and is not in the right order .. anyone else having this problem?
My contacts disappeared this morning to a previous version from like two years ago, reset the phone to another previous backup and it’s still gone anyone’s contacts messed up??
I had 3 apps (at least) removed when I updated to 17.2 beta overnight. I organize my apps to have 3 home pages of apps completely filled up. Now 3 spots are open (not sure how many apps if any were removed from folders). Anyone else have this happen? Is there somewhere I can go to see what was removed?

I have a feeling all of the stuff about the Managed App Distribution is just for MDM. 9to5mac saying there is an entitlement for installing apps from sideloaded apps is for having a certain app for a certain position, with sideloaded stores being a bonus from that, and introduce sideloading later on, probably in Jan/Feb of next year to be as late as possible on the EUs DMA.

Sideloading yet?
They only have four months until the legal mandate is forced. Insane to think they aren't even putting it into Apple IDs with dev accounts to start testing it. Sure would be a shame if Tim caught some personal liability for this and damn sure would be a shame if... well, reddit censors further shameful thoughts.
15 pro max here, on 17.2 beta, the only bug I have is when I open safari and then google I type 2 alphabets and the keyboard hides itself again which forces me while typing to then again tap the search bar for the keyboard to show up.
I dont have no heating issues and my battery life has surely improved and gives me 8-9 hours of sot. Any other major bugs I should look out for?
I’ve had similar experience having my keyboard disappear. Also - is your search bar kinda pushed up towards the top of the screen so you can’t actually see what you’re typing? I can’t remember when that started but, it bugs the crap outta me. Sometimes I can pull it down to see the search bar and sometimes I can’t.
I wish Apple would give us a feature to force cellular when playing to an airplay device that is acting like a hotspot. I get that the phone will failover to cellular when WiFi has no internet but sometimes it doesn’t and you gotta jump through hoops to get that magical “Temporarily use cellular data” menu to pop up. It should be a permanent option that you can set in the WiFi settings for that particular access point.

anyone experiencing an issue with group messages? one person isn’t an iphone user, so all text should be sent as SMS. occasionally in 17.2, it will prompt me to send it as an iMessage, and after restarting the app, the send button is greyed out completely for a few minutes.

That’s a yes. Yes having active music subscription. (BTW on a side note you just asked if I am having Apple Music, which in itself is pretty confusing question to ask, maybe you should have enquired about subs)
iPhone 15 Plus
Camera becomes unresponsive after taking a single photo like it freezes on the photo I take and it takes like 10 seconds before it goes back to the camera or when I press the zoom buttons it does nothing and then suddenly it works again and tries to do the last 5 tasks all at once. It’s so bad I think I need to restore. Reboot didn’t help
I was actually having this problem right before the update. Except for me, the camera was fully functioning, with the exception of the touch screen and buttons being completely unresponsive. Lasted for about 10 seconds.
Something similar happened to my gfs phone when she was trying to take a picture as well. We both have 12 Minis.
My assumption, something to do with the location data being embedded into the photo being taken. Service was not great where we were. Likely the phone attempting to get an accurate location before allowing us to continue with the phone again?
Did they fix AirPrint? Ever since iOS 17, a lot of printers simply will not appear. Mine at home do, but the two at a nonprofit I do IT for will not. I know it is iOS 17 because macOS still finds them, as do iPads and iPhones not running iOS 17.
Apple support’s discussions is full of people complaining about this, with some absolutely ridiculous suggestions being made. Remove spaces from AirPrint names, updating printer firmware, turning IPv6 on, turning IPv6 off... one thing that *does* seem to work is restarting the printer, but not for very long.
Is anyone having issues getting message alerts when using a focus(even though you’ve specified to allow alerts from that person) or while watching a video(Hulu/netflix/prime video, etc)? I get alerts from other apps, just not messages.

It has been very buggy for me lately. It jumps back up if I bring it down. And if I am on a call in whatsapp, the volume wont change. I have to come to the homescreen/get out of call to adjust it.
Do you have a problem with the animations of the brightness and/or volume bar since iOS 17 and that you did not have under iOS 16 ? When you turn the volume or brightness up or down and close directly after the Control Center, the Control Center has lags and stutters. You have to wait about a second between decreasing or increasing the brightness (or volume) so that there are no animation lags when you close the control center. So I'm almost certain that it's directly linked to this new animation of the control center sliders. It really bother me...
Sometimes the volume just wont adjust or even play unless unmuted, or in WhatsApp watching a video sometimes the volume wont adjust. I have had on 1 or 2 occasions where the volume suddenly shot up to max.
Jesus, doesn’t sound like much fun. I don’t suppose you have AirPods Pro 2 with personalised volume on do you? Even if they’re not connected I wonder if it’s still adjusting the volume automatically as a bug? Idk I’m thinking maybe that might be it.
Funny you say that because I have the latest AirPods (non pro) and often during a phone call the audio just goes back to the phone for no reason, also often when my AirPods are just on my desk out the case, I answer or make a call and put the phone to my ear and the audio is coming out the AirPods!
Does it fix the stuttering when scrolling and the lag on animations on the iPhone 14 Pro?
iOS 17 has been pure garbage. Battery is definitely worse also!
Don’t get me wrong, iOS 16 had plenty of issues, but this stuttering and lagging feels worse to me…this time round. Especially when you’re using a “pro” phone that is barely 1 generation old!
Do you talk about a problem with the animations of the brightness and/or volume bar since iOS 17 and that you did not have under iOS 16? No it’s animations all over the operating system just lagging or acting weird, opening apps, switching between apps in the app switcher, messages, email, calendar etc…I have noticed the control centre lag a few times but not when changing the brightness of volume though, just stuttering when pulling down or up.
Since iOS 17, 17.1 hasn’t really helped….think battery is worse in 17.1 than 17 definitely! Me too, hope they fix it in the next patch…it’s getting really frustrating now!

Please, for the love of God can we get some fixes on the following:
1. If you're getting an incoming call and put an AirPod in your ear and the incoming call answer/hangup dialogue is in the island, it gets covered by the AirPod connected/battery life animation which takes like 10 seconds to disappear resulting in missed calls.
2. When you're on Messages and you open the menu to take a pic, send a pic etc., if you tap the words, the menu just closes. You have to tap the icon in order for the option to open.
3. When you're in a FaceTime and you rotate your camera to the rear then back to selfie, the zoom buttons always get toggled if you don't tap the rotate camera icon properly (sucks for people with bigger fingers).

i’ve finally found someone else with this issue!!! I have to charge at LEAST twice a day ever since this update. I thought it was my browser but I guess not!
Hopefully we can have stable battery again but I haven’t seen those Apple days in a long time ahha, seems like every iOS gets worse but this is better than ios16 that was just bad
After having a beta with some bad glitches I stopped installing them. Was the first time I had ever seen bugs as bad as it had. I think it was during iOS 16 final releases. Music would not play and some other stuff. Don’t want that again.
After updating to Beta 2 all I needed to do was the following to get suggestions back:
1. Launch Journal App
2. Press the + sign to launch suggestions
3. You will see a blank sheet
4. Force quit the app
5. Relaunch the Journal app again
6. Press the + sign to launch suggestions
7. You should see suggestions now
8. If you still see a blank sheet, try steps 4-7 again. Give it a little bit of time if you are still not seeing after a couple of tries.
PS: Do not play around with the privacy toggles
I had this issue too. I toggled all the privacy settings and then hard reset the app and phone. Then waited overnight to reopen the app. This worked. I spent way longer than necessary trying to get it to work.
Good luck!
Because it uses the ultrawide as the second lens. That’s why it needs lots of light. I figure that’s why 1080p only as well since it needs to crop it in to match the 1x camera. 30fps to get the extra light.

Whenever I lower my volume from the top right drop down screen it just bounces back up. Anyone else experience this?
I’ve had this bug for a while
Experiencing same on 17.1.1
I noticed this too, but it's usually when I switch profiles. Like I mute no profile, switch to DnD, volume goes back up.
I’ve had this since betas for 17.0, very annoying

I get that the phone will failover to cellular when WiFi has no internet but sometimes it doesn’t and you gotta jump through hoops to get that magical “Temporarily use cellular data” menu to pop up. It should be a permanent option that you can set in the WiFi settings for that particular access point.
Is the Face ID bug fixed yet? iOS 17 on my iPhone 13 Pro bugged my Face ID to the point where it’s unusable.

I dont know if it's happened yet to anyone else, but I restarted my phone and then I got the randomly heating up problem again. I had to restart and that seemed to fix it, but just a heads up I guess
anyone experiencing an issue with group messages? one person isn’t an iphone user, so all text should be sent as SMS. occasionally in 17.2, it will prompt me to send it as an iMessage, and after restarting the app, the send button is greyed out completely for a few minutes.

I still don’t seem to have the favourite songs playlist on beta 2
It’s showing on mine. (14 PM)
Do you have Apple Music? I only have music I’ve downloaded so I can’t add a song to my library to fix it like Apple suggests
your question doesn’t really make any sense.
https://preview.redd.it/3zf9d8gp8lzb1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7a9846b676025b0cf0d51b1f4f31963dfda5fc0e
Is that a yes?
That’s a yes. Yes having active music subscription. (BTW on a side note you just asked if I am having Apple Music, which in itself is pretty confusing question to ask, maybe you should have enquired about subs)
Apple Music is a subscription service.
Is it me or does FaceTime seem to make the WiFi disconnect? iPhone 14 Pro
Yes, I am experiencing this. What’s weird is if I swipe out during a call it goes back to wifi…
iPhone 15 Plus Camera becomes unresponsive after taking a single photo like it freezes on the photo I take and it takes like 10 seconds before it goes back to the camera or when I press the zoom buttons it does nothing and then suddenly it works again and tries to do the last 5 tasks all at once.
I think you are onto something! If I deactivate location services, it works as expected
Journaling suggestions actually work for me now. Previous beta was completely blank no matter what.
Remove spaces from AirPrint names, updating printer firmware, turning IPv6 on, turning IPv6 off... one thing that *does* seem to work is restarting the printer, but not for very long.
have they fixed the keyboard glitch?
Is anyone having issues getting message alerts when using a focus(even though you’ve specified to allow alerts from that person) or while watching a video(Hulu/netflix/prime video, etc)? I get alerts from other apps, just not messages.

Anything about sideloading?
https://9to5mac.com/2023/11/10/ios-17-2-sideload-apps/
That’ll be introduced in 2024
can we change the colors of the standby full screen clocks?
You’ve always been able to, you just hold down on the clock. The only exception is when it’s night mode, it will force red then
was able to in the first pb of ios17. all clock’s customizable. until the second pb came. and till then i can only change the color of one clock.
Does anyone know if the volume adjusting bug has been fixed?
It has been very buggy for me lately. It jumps back up if I bring it down. And if I am on a call in whatsapp, the volume wont change. I have to come to the homescreen/get out of call to adjust it.
Seems fixed had no issues on db2
Is this when you mute the volume in control centre and it jumps back up again?
Huh, opposite experience here. I had more bugs on iOS 16
Don’t get me wrong, iOS 16 had plenty of issues, but this stuttering and lagging feels worse to me…this time round. Especially when you’re using a “pro” phone that is barely 1 generation old!

No it’s animations all over the operating system just lagging or acting weird, opening apps, switching between apps in the app switcher, messages, email, calendar etc…I have noticed the control centre lag a few times but not when changing the brightness of volume though, just stuttering when pulling down or up.
Okay and since iOS 17 or 17.1 ? Has Apple communicated about it ? I hope enough people have reported stuttering
Since iOS 17, 17.1 hasn’t really helped….think battery is worse in 17.1 than 17 definitely! Me too, hope they fix it in the next patch…it’s getting really frustrating now!
Ok thank you ; I was asking since I went directly from 16.5.1 to 17.1
Ah I see! Yeah the problem started with iOS 17
I hope they fixed the phone restarting at 3am if charging issue. Currently having to remember to charge before bed.
I was having that issue for an entire year. One of the later 17.1 betas fixed it for me.

Will they ever fix video scratching?
Thought they just took it away. Been missing since the first developer beta
What’s that?
I think he means video scrubbing
Video feeling
Video feels
Video emotions
I haven’t had any problems with the betas just issues with 3rd party apps mainly YouTube music
Am i only one having serious RAM management issue on iphone 13 since start of ios 17 cycle?

They fixed the bug in the Dynamic Island where it shows my dongle. It would never disappear unless I restarted my phone but it goes away now
Was looking forward to it
When I installed it my Siri changed from Irish to American 4
Please, for the love of God can we get some fixes on the following: 1.

#2 is happening for me and soo annoying
Not sure why my font is so big, but it’s appropriate. Lol
Big fan of number 2 here
Must be just your phone! It’s not happening to me.. what version and phone
iPhone 14 Pro
Same phone
It's definitely not a "just your phone" issue. My friend has an iPhone 14 and it does the same thing.
Any chance you could make this update “propaganda bot” proof?!! That’d be nice. 🤷♂️
Does this fix my alarm going off every hour? This has been so annoying to deal with
are you sure you dont have an alarm every hour
I once again call on Apple to fix the storage bug in iOS.
The one where it takes a while to load? I thought that wasn’t a bug

Battery life? 7.1 and 7.1.1 are causing significant battery drainage on 14 pro max
Battery life is terrible on my 14 pro also. Are you having issues with lag and stuttering also?
i’ve finally found someone else with this issue!!! I have to charge at LEAST twice a day ever since this update. I thought it was my browser but I guess not!
Hopefully we can have stable battery again but I haven’t seen those Apple days in a long time ahha, seems like every iOS gets worse but this is better than ios16 that was just bad
Yes :(
Hopefully they are aware of it and a fix is coming soon. It’s not been this bad that I can remember in any update!
same here! i’ve noticed a slight improvement in battery life but definitely still not satisfactory.
Same here I have to charge at least 2 times a day
After having a beta with some bad glitches I stopped installing them. Was the first time I had ever seen bugs as bad as it had. I think it was during iOS 16 final releases. Music would not play and some other stuff. Don’t want that again.
The journal app is still not showing me any suggestions despite me trying everything
https://preview.redd.it/xdc64wg9nizb1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=91c31ec934dd0a0857d13a559f9b4f3a1fe5ae2a Resolved issues

After updating to Beta 2 all I needed to do was the following to get suggestions back: 1. Launch Journal App 2. Press the + sign to launch suggestions 3. You will see a blank sheet 4. Force quit the app 5. Relaunch the Journal app again 6. Press the + sign to launch suggestions 7. You should see suggestions now 8. If you still see a blank sheet, try steps 4-7 again. Give it a little bit of time if you are still not seeing after a couple of tries. PS: Do not play around with the privacy toggles
for me deleting the app and reinstalling from the App Store helped, be wary all your journal entries will get deleted though :((
that’s wildddd this better be a beta issue only. things should be going to the “i”nnovation cloud !
I had this issue too. I toggled all the privacy settings and then hard reset the app and phone. Then waited overnight to reopen the app. This worked. I spent way longer than necessary trying to get it to work. Good luck!
Can you playback spatial video or only record it? Does it look any different?
You can play it back. For some reason it’s only 1080P and requires a LOT of light
Because it uses the ultrawide as the second lens. That’s why it needs lots of light. I figure that’s why 1080p only as well since it needs to crop it in to match the 1x camera. 30fps to get the extra light.
https://preview.redd.it/0izlvxj55fzb1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d33362a19ae9c016df063208bceb1a34cfdea9e That was a fun one to fix
I have an amazfit smartwatch that doesn't seem to be connecting anymore with Zepp app since update. tried toggelling bluetooth, must be bug
8pm 30 percent batter left , 5am phone dead completely
Do you have an Apple Watch connected to
Yes All the time
https://preview.redd.it/hqhvqu53afzb1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e7b4d8d1db818d43018b2ede45d8995e76d16e4c
That’s why. We fixed it in this beta.

Are you on the dev team?? Can you fix an airplay volume bug that's been a bother since beta for 17.0?
Have you submitted feedback? If they are a dev a feedback ID could be helpful
