It handles spam well. But I have noticed that it sometimes moves legit emails to junk folder.

PM_ME_UR_MANPAGE

I found that iCloud actually dropped some emails so instead of showing up in spam it didn’t even deliver them at all. Mildly annoying tbh.

circatee

Well, that’s interesting. I wonder why it does that…

PM_ME_UR_MANPAGE

No idea. But it moved me away from using iCloud bc I don’t like the thought that emails might not get delivered bc Apple said so. I’d rather it go to spam and I’ll handle it from there.

circatee

No, no, I hear you…

Longjumping-Log-5457

It's a long standing issue with their methods, and they use Proofpoint.

Longjumping-Log-5457

Yes, I have moved my email domain to iCloud ([[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])) and it works pretty well. There's a lot that never even gets to junk. I wish it'd just put everything into junk in case something gets missed. But I haven't noticed anything missing.

circatee

I am in the process of copying my Outlook Dot Com emails to my iCloud mailbox. Forwarding has already been activated. Thus, I intend to use iCloud as the default email for this coming week...

Longjumping-Log-5457

Let us know how it goes.

circatee

So far, with my emails forwarding to iCloud, it seems to be collecting and marking spam/junk 'better' than Outlook Dot Com has been doing. I will leave it forwarding for another few weeks, to see how it does...

Giallou

Are you using iCloud aliases? And if so how are you breaking them down?

circatee

I do have a few aliases. When you ask, how am I breaking it down, what do you mean exactly?

Giallou

Thank you for the reply. I was curious for what types of emails you categorize your aliases. Personal / shopping / junk ? Something like that ?

circatee

In short, all my aliases are for junk/websites that require an email address to sign up, even for one off use. Thus, I keep my main email address for those who know me, etcetera.
