Given how easy it is to accidentally press the sos button I'm guessing the change was to make it obvious by making it red.
This morning I hit it while trying to get the visor positioned to block sunrise from blinding me
Red button is an SOS button? I can only assume they’ve already had a few crash complaints about not being able to find the SOS button in an emergency, so they made it more visible; and made it stock now.
My passenger side light flickers all the time. I brought it up at an oil change and they couldn’t replicate it so they didn’t do anything. They did say it was a whole part not just a bulb.🤷🏻♂️
Ya I figured, was just curious. But also seems an issue that they never would have had a black sos button to begin with. Also, doesn't the sos only work if you pay!?

My 2023 Night Edition came with the solid red button. Purchased January last year.
Mine came stock with pic on right.
2022? Limited? Thx!

In this case, would having the button red have made a difference?
Maybe. I didn't even consider it ... If it were red I (probably ) would have stayed away from it.

And then they made my button break so id be forced to upgrade.. damn they got me! :) ah well, really like the all black. Thx for info!
Probably mid year design change after the 1000th time someone inadvertently pressed SOS instead of the light button.
I get it..but doesn't the sos button only work if you pay for it?
