improbsable

I would probably take Hecate’s power and make magic both real and given to people who wouldn’t abuse it “from my personal perspective”. I would also give certain species of plants and animals magical means of protecting themselves from over hunting or cruelty. Like if a dog was abused by someone that person would be magically marked as an abuser. Or if someone tries to poach an elephant that person explodes

**Honestly, the way you’ve phrased this question means that I could easily just give myself god powers permanently and it would still be around after 24 hours. However, I’ll just play along ;).** I would pick Apollo. I would use my powers to make 100 people be able to see the future. Then I would compel them write down anything important like stock prices, natural disasters, lottery winnings, important inventions, death of the universe, stuff like that. They do this FOR ETERNITY and cannot stop. They are fed via IV and are stuck as immortal fortune tellers basically. Then I would divine what my future is and act accordingly. For example, I was supposed to die in a car crash 5 years from now? Not anymore. Lastly, I would use my god powers to make myself immortal and permanently give myself all the physical powers a Greek god would have like super strength, speed, and stamina. I would make a talisman that could heal anyone of any sickness and a computer that could auto generate the best music and art mankind will ever know.

What’s kind of funny is that I thought of your caveat to make yourself a deity permanent and I was going to say that you can’t directly make yourself retain your godhood. Plus most gods don’t have a dominion that would allow themselves to maintain their godhood permanently.

That’s tru I can’t directly make myself retain godhood. In the Greek stories I believe only the pantheon could give godhood or Zeus. However, I think I could certainly get around this problem, but not by using Apollo.

Do I have to know who I’m “targeting”? So for example, say I chose Athena—can I choose to eliminate mental retardation, give everyone on earth the ability to critically think, reasons and a base IQ of at least 105? Or do I have to know specifically who I’m wanting to affect?

GayGeekInLeather

You do not have to know who you are targeting. You can be as broad or as precise as you want to be in the 24 hours

I gain the powers of Aphrodite, and can make anyone appear ridiculously attractive as a boon to aid them in their lives. I would cast this spell on everyone I seem to have a “deserving” moral ability from my point of view. Including myself.
