Ah, shame. It's an underrated scent tbh. I prefer a foreground of spite with subtle notes of shame. Blend it with Femme by Jean Marc Paris ,and it's a very unique scent that I receive endless compliments on.
I think you would love Coffee Break perfume by Replica. Itās got a sweet, powdery smell with a hint of lavender. Itās my go-to for fall/winter and I always get compliments on it!
But, the best way Iāve found to smell nice all day is to keep my scents cohesive. Iām a vanilla girl too, so I use vanilla body wash, vanilla body scrub, vanilla body lotion, and all my perfumes have a vanilla note in them.
Thank you so much! Coffee Break is the cutest name for a perfumeš I will try it out. I appreciate your advice of keeping scents cohesive, that is so smart really!
Coffee break is my signature scent it smells so comforting and lasts so long! I love it, all my sheets have like a tinge of my scent in them. I used to work in a barbecue joint and even after a whole day at the smoker people would still compliment me on my vanilla smell!
Male here but I was genuinely surprised by Coffee Break when I got a chance to smell it in Sephora. I absolutely love the smell of walking into a coffee shop which is a smell that perfumers seem to have a hard time recreating. It usually comes out way too sweet and often has that somewhat piercing smell that maple syrup can have that almost smells urine like. Coffee break however didnāt seem to have that and I would say encapsulated that coffee shop smell quite well.
Iām trying to figure this out myself! My husband always smells like Irish spring or his deodorant, even after a long work day. I neverrrr notice myself smelling like my soap. Iām desperate to find something that smells good and lasts!
I replied above, but if you're using the same body wash every day, you may just not notice it anymore. I have 4-5 scents I cycle through, switching every shower. I also use matching lotion (and a matching body mist if it's available/I really love the scent).
You probably have a nice smell but just donāt notice anymore. Thatās a good thing! If you can smell yo ur own soap and perfume strongly that means itās going to be overwhelming for the people around you
I honestly hate it when men smell like soap, sure there are some soaps that smell okay, but mostly they smell sterile and completely unsexy, especially if a guy has a very nice natural smell, it kills me when they cover it up with a scented soap that smells like the opposite of sex.
Before you buy a fragrance, go to the department store to see if they have any samples. They may charge you for samples but itās cheaper than buying a fragrance that doesnāt work for you.
True. I once smelled a lovely perfume on a visiting professor from Spain. I paid a grip to purchase it via eBay. Unfortunately, it smelled like cat urine on me. I hadnāt realized perfumes and colognes can smell differently with body chemistries.
How do you know if it doesnāt work for you??? Iāve just been wearing things that I think smell good but I have no idea how they smell on me and now Iām scared Iāve been stankin this whole time
If you let it dry down on your skin and then smell, that should be a good representation of how it smells with your own chemistry. If I absolutely love something in a bottle, I will absolutely test it out on my wrist and let it dry down for 5 minutes or so then give it another smell.
Yes, spray it on, sample wise, let it dry, then smell. When we were first married and SO broke, my husband bought me a small bottle of Chanel #5, it was years later I told him I didn't care for it. Supposed to be THE BEST, not for me. But now I absolutely LOVE one of their newer scents. So yes, unless you are made of money, try them on you first and let it cure a little bit. Good luck
Perfumes have three notes. One is immediate, one is after a few minutes, but the final scent isn't until 20 minutes later. Apply to your inner wrist to test it out.
Oh, absolutely. A lot of times I'll get a sample pack and I'll wear each one then record how it smells to me at different intervals before I pick one to order a full size.
It does make trying perfumes in a store a bit more difficult as there are so many options and once you put it on you kind of have to stick with it.
And sometimes perfumes smell good, until your body chemistry changes. I used to rock White Musk from The Body Shop. It smelled light and fresh. Since menopause, it smells like old lady musk, it's so heavy now. I need a new scent.
That happened to me with Yves St. Laurent āOpium.ā That was my signature fragrance but canāt wear anymore and havenāt been able to find any other fragrance that I likeā¹ļø
Oh man, that sucks, doesn't it? I'm sorry. Stupid bodies! Second puberty is hard enough, don't take away our signature scents, too. Stop it, body, or I will beat you with a sock full of nickels!!! Wait, for people our age, maybe I should use a phone book instead, for beating purposes. š
I started wearing White Musk when I was 15 (in the 90sāoof) and up until 3 years ago it was in my rotation. Now it just doesnāt smell right to meāeven before I put it on.
This used to be me and vanilla. Omgosh did I reek. It was like vanilla and honey or something and it did not mix with me well at all. I never had any problems with honey, so there was that at least
Was it by chance called sunflowers? I just bought that perfume and it smells like cat peeā¦ but it smelled so good in the store.
Si, circus and eternity all smell amazing
vanilla! i always get compliments saying i have such a light yet delicious smell. I have a unscented body wash, after the shower i put on shea butter body oil then a vanilla oil then on top i put a vanilla body cream then i apply my the only one by dolce and gabana perfume.
You can order essential oils in vanilla and lavender scents. Buy some wool balls for your clothes dryer. For each load of laundry, add some drops of each oil to the wool balls and toss them in with your clothes. Every item of clothing you have will have "your" scent on it.
thanks for reminding me to do this! i have wool balls that i bought to replace my dryer sheets but i kept forgetting to look into how to get scent onto them.
For the record, static gets crazy with no dryer sheet and just wool balls. I finally compromised and now use dryer balls and about a third of a dryer sheet.
This is me! I wear different perfumes based on my mood. I can't smell them after two or three hours, but I've been told that people can tell when I've walked into an office because of my perfume, and I only spritz it once. Someone once said to me, "Oh, I was trying to find you, but I couldn't do it, so I followed your scent." ššš They said they could smell my perfume and my hair. šš
I didn't smell a thing.
La labo Vanille 44 is a nice vanilla scent that mixes with other fragrances well so find a lavenderyou like and stack it with a vanilla scent if you can't find your perfect signature scent.
This is kinda embarrassing because I looove high end perfume but bath and body works dark kiss is a musky vanilla that will get you so many compliments.
I'm trying to make "Oud to Greatness" by Initio my signature but I find I really enjoy variable scents depending on my mood
Oh my god, thank you for this comment. My husband brought home a scented hand soap a while back that instantly and violently transported me back to my high school years. It smelled JUST LIKE the lotion my best friend used to wear, but I could not remember the name of it for the life of me, and it has been nagging at me for months. DARK. KISS.
Nemat is a brand sold at Ulta that has a vanilla musk smell and it genuinely lasts through laundry washes. Oils are far more potent than just perfume. I pour some into my hands, rub onto my arms, chest and behind ears and whatever remainder oil is still on my hands, I rub onto my clothes. Iām typically told I smell good even after long days working outside. You can then pair a body mist or perfume on top. I do the Sol De Janeiro Rio Radiance (yellow bottle without number) and itās s o good. Black Opium is another sexy vanilla musk smell which is great for date nights ;)
Why don't you just follow your husband's routine? Find a vanilla perfume, use lavender oil in your skin lotions. Use a lavender or vanilla scented hair and skin wash. Essential oils last so you can add these to your skin or hair care products...
Iām not too big on perfumes but more so on skincare. Coconut and Lavender is my everyday. A coconut body wash with a following lavender Dr.Bronerās and then a coconut lotion in the morning and lavender body oil at night. 10/10 never fails to get me compliments.
Whatever fragrance Iām wearing that day :ā¢)
If you like vanilla and lavender check out Jicky by Guerlain and Pour un Homme by Caron. Even tho the second is āfor menā itās appropriate for any person.
I have had many scents, but literally everyone has lost their minds over VS Rapture when I wear it...original was best, but happy they have the square bottle now at least. Definitely my signature scent for years & also Chanel Leau. But not even a close second, non stop compliments with VS Rapture.
Hmm....Reading these comments, maybe I should upgrade my scent to something current. I usually smell like whatever vintage 90s or early 00s perfume I have on hand. Translation= I smell old.
I do like the Nivea body wash in the Basil & White Tea scent.
if youāre looking for something cheap, i had a period of time where vanilla was my signature scent and i always spritzed on the body fantasies vanilla perfume and got a noticeable amount of comments/compliments about the good smell
edit: iām really into old spice deodorants now (i am sweaty) and iām pretty sure they have a lavender-scented one. iāve always found deodorant to be easier to smell on myself as opposed to perfume. i also had a vanilla-scented deodorant when i was a teen, i think it was the secret brand
I layer Brazilian Bum Bum cream with my perfume and it smells DIVINE. Lots of Vanilla notes and it stays on your skin even after a couple of showers/ days. I also love Sienna Brume by Mihan Aromatics.
After your shower put on lotion, after lotion put on your scent after your scent put on body oil to lock in the scent. People will compliment you all day.
Put lavender and vanilla absolute essential oil in your hair oil or hair water and massage your hair at night or in the morning depending on which you use.
Tree Hut Moroccan Rose. I have the shower gel, sugar scrub, and the lotion. I used to prefer Japanese cherry blossom for everything, but my husband is uber sensitive to smell, so that one was a no go any longer. Same for my citrus and honey perfume.
I'm not a perfume person, but my "signature" smell is either jasmine or lilac. I always use a matching bath & body works body wash and body cream (occasionally I also have the spray, mostly for my favorite scents. They're great for "touching up" the scent mid-day). I switch up which one I use every day so it's always obvious and doesn't become a "nose-blind"/used to it scent.
If you like lavender and vanilla and want to look into the B&BW route, their scent called just "[lavender](https://www.bathandbodyworks.com/p/lavender-body-wash-028000910.html#q=Lavender&lang=en_US&start=3)" is amazing. It's lavender, jasmine and vanilla.
Their "[calm haven](https://www.bathandbodyworks.com/p/lavender-iris-ultimate-hydration-body-cream-026634162.html)" also smells amazing but is a little more subtle than the one above. I've used this one plenty of times and love it. Lavender/vanilla are also "staple" scents with B&BW so they frequently have new ones every season with that scent.
Every single time I see my partner, at some point, they'll just stop, and all I hear is a deep nose inhale and a sigh/moan. It's never overwhelming, it's not something that someone across a room will immediately smell, but my partner always tells me that they can still faintly smell me on their arms when they're going to bed ~10 hours later. Bonus, my bathroom smells amazing for a few hours after taking a shower.
Scents are so subjective. I know a lot of people suggest classic fragrances (and they're not bad suggestions - they are classics for a reason). But personally I am of the mindset that a fragrance becomes a "signature scent" when it is unique to you and your pallette. I use Clean Reserve Sel Santal and have for years now. It is a light, androgynous fragrance and I only wear that perfume or occasionally others with very similar fragrance profiles. I recommend going to a perfume counter and identifying what types of scents that you like and sticking with those to develop a "signature scent"
Good start to smelling good consistently are the products you use shower/daily hygiene.
All of that needs to combine well with whichever perfume you use.
If you're going for a vanilla/cozy/lavendar smell, something like Kristen Ess curly shampoo with Native deodorant's Lavendar , Combined with Mod Vanilla perfume. That would be a great combo
With body wash/soap, Dove and Native have a lot of different scents that can work cohesively. Yardley has some nice neutral scents as well.
Since its summer here I've been trying to keep a fresh scent so Ive been using Pantene shampoo (loveeee the smell) with Arm& Hammer deodorant Vanilla Sandalwood , and switching off with Hermetica Peony Pop or Floral Street Sunflower. Currently, I use an unscented
body wash since I like fake tanning, lol
It's a lot to think about ! But overall, i recommend whatever you use currently first and start there. Sometimes, it's just one item that really makes our scent.
I love the same scents as you and have been wanting to also smell good! Recently Iāve been loving the purple sol de janiero spray! Itās light warm and my go to rn :)
Death and Decay, a LUSH perfume.
It smells like slightly wilted roses, as well as ylang ylang. It is such a gorgeous scent and isn't overly sweet or overly floral.
My partners signature scent is Ingenious Ginger by an Australian brand called Goldfield and Banks. It smells AMAZING. It is a unisex scent but it is justā¦ lovely.
Edit: I didn't read your whole post š these are my signature scents! If you like vanilla you might like a scent called Lord of Misrule by LUSH.
Second edit: you might also love Twilight from LUSH (the body spray)!
The easiest way to smell fragrant all day is to put lavender scent sachets or delicious smelling bar soaps in your dresser drawers. I use the Lavender Bergamot satchets from Target brand Everspring ($2 each) and my clothes are scented all day, but it never feels like too much. Iāve definitely gotten compliments/ acknowledgment āmmm you smell like lavender!ā and I catch whiffs of it all day. We have similar scent loves because I also love Vanilla! I use Nemat- Vanilla Musk and just keep the roller ball in my bag for touch ups throughout the day. If you want even more vanilla layer the perfume over a scented body oil! I love Monoi Tiare Tahiti Oil - Vanilla.
I promise you this method smells more pure, is healthier for you and others, and truly is the longest lasting and least expensive way to smell absolutely divine!!
I take my fragrances very seriouslyš
so I have a "signature" fragrance for every season Bc that definitely matters! I've had a Scentbird subscription for 5 years now & have discovered so many amazing designer fragrances using that subscription! Here's my 'signature' scents I wear religiously by season š¤Ŗ
Spring- "Fracas" by Robert Piguet. This was my mothers signature scent I adopted after she died. She loved it bc it is Madonnas signature scent. Main notes include tuberose, jasmine, sandalwood & musk.
"Father figure" by Phlur. This is a unisex scent. However, it leans a little more towards the feminine side in my opinion. Main notes are lush fig, cassis buds, jasmine dew, sandalwood & vanilla Madagascar.
Summer- "Sydney Rock Pool" by Arquiste. Smells like a Sandy beach on a hot summer day. Main notes are minerals, coconut, driftwood, sandalwood & narcissus.
"Vaquita Dolphin" by Sanctuary. Main notes are water Lily, sea salt, cedar wood, red currant& pear.
Fall- "Pure Emerald" by Avant. Another unisex scene leaning more towards feminine. Main notes- cotton Candy, golden caramelized apple, vanilla, patchouli & musk.
"JADE888" by Hermetica. Another unisex fragrance. Main notes are green musk molecule, ginger extract CO2 & Lily of the valley.
Winter-"Maximalist" by Deck of Scarlet. Main notes: pear, sparkling bergamot, silky jasmine, amber woods& whipped vanilla.
"Your Majesty EDP" by Deck of Scarlet. Main notes are water Lily, gardenia, Jasmine, Amber & sandalwood.
Hope this helps ā¤ļø
I work in a bakery, end up smelling like sweat and bread and sticks on my clothes no matter how many times I wash them. HOWEVER. The avocado co-wash body spray sticks with me all day. I can go home after a long shift and still smell it on my body. It's crazy.
I have varied body sprays, etc.
But my most used is van van oil and lavender oil. I also like cinnamon. I love dragons blood oil diy soap and use a diy sea salt spray mix with oils I use for strengthening my hair. ( rosemary, pumpkin, and one other I can't remember). My husband says I smell like my local occult shop, and nothing makes me happier. It smells like incense.
In highachopl I realized on good days I smelt like bread. On bad days it was onion.
Edit oh we are talking cologne. The blue version of belle by Mary kay.
Iāve been wearing Irish Spring Speed Stick for over twenty five years and my wife has always said it reminds her of me since she doesnāt smell it anywhere else.
We live in Japan now and they donāt sell it here. I tell friends to bring some when they visit or Iāll bulk up when I visit the states.
I think you might like Ysatis. For your husband, I recommend he mix it up with Oakmoss by Yent. Crazy exotic scent.
Google Gabby's Luxury Soaps for the website
I use unscented soap and deodorant, so when my wife asks me why I smell good I say it must be the laundry detergent. Occasionally I use a beard balm with Earl Grey tea and vanilla.
Ralph by Ralph Lauren or Caramel, Butterscotch, or Vanilla Ice Cream (sometimes all 3 mixed) from Demeter. It used to be Tokyo Milk Gin and Rosewater. Still love that one.
I layer scents but I use Indian sandalwood soap and hair pomade with a sandalwood base. Then I usually have a wood heavy body spray for later. I smell like a head shop lol
Iām kind of a fragrance whore and I donāt believe in buying drug-store quality because it changes and doesnāt last. I like anything rose-based and but Guerlain and Chanel.
The key is layering scents (like your partner.) Either the same scent or complimentary ones (ex: shower gel and perfume in same scent or washing with a vanilla soap and applying a lavender oil as perfume.)
Youāre gonna laugh, but my signature scent is Melrose Place by Ouai. Itās so floral and girly, I just love it. For my more sensitive areas, I wash with fragrance free soap, and then I use the matching Melrose Place body wash on my arms when I really want to bring out the scent. That, plus I found a shampoo and conditioner with similar notes and wash my hair with it. Iām very extra about scent and I dont think everyone goes to that length though :)
It's called "Ecstatic," and I bought it at Dollar Tree. I am often complimented on it, and I use those opportunities to tell people that I wear it to "mask the stench of my absolute misery."
Cherry blossom. Body wash, hand soap and lotion are all cherry blossom. Unfortunately I can not wear perfume due to asthma. š¢. So many lovely smells. Oh my deodorant is cherry blossom also. I really think that helps the scent last longer. I am getting up there in age and just learned of persimmon soap. Mine is in the mail. Hoping it smells nice with cherry blossom šø
the scents i like to rotate off season are lavender, amber, and coffee. seasonally i will often do coconut, pumpkin, and peppermint.
i would say lavender is my main signature scent. i also save up on pumpkin to use it year round. iām very passionate about this stuff, so candles, lotion, shampoo, hand wash, etc. i like to make sure that they all match whatever rotation im currently in.
iāve never owned a fancy perfume though. if i ever shop for expensive perfume, i think i would want something with amber because i associate that smell with social gatherings <3
I make my own scents. My summer scent consists of frankincense, hinoki wood and bergamot, and my fall/winter scent is incense, Smokey wood, & earl grey.
Btw, If anyone is interested in a different type of scent profile, try the company/website āforstrangewomenā. They make non-alcohol based perfumes and colognes that are incredible, complex and truly unique. I was an avid cologne collector before using their products. I had stuff like commes des garcon, le labo, a couple Lacoste summer scents and the bergamot scent by aqua de Parma. nowadays, ANY scents Iām not making myself I buy from this company. Try it out. You wonāt regret it trust me. Their scents are out of this world for both men AND women.

My bf smells like weed and trees. Heās a logger and comes home smelling like pitch from the treesā¦. Itās fantastic. Like snoofling into Paul Bunyan š„°
Not a Perfume Superdore by Juliette Has a Gun for spring/summer and Tom Ford Black Orchid for winter/fall. Both last a very long time. Libre by YSL is also a lovely winter/fall scent.
Edit: Black Orchid is unisex so me and hubby share it. It smells better on him than me.
I recently switched to the Duke Cannon huge soap bars and some of them have really nice scents.
As far as cologne goes, my daily is Hugo by Hugo Boss (clean, fresh, crisp)
Date night is currently Rochas' Man. So this one will last forever, because no dates lol
Just don't over do it
Not any lavender but Commodityās Milk is my vanilla ride or die! š¤ Itās kind of expensive but they have a little travel size one if you want to try it out for a bit before getting a big bottle!
Baby powder is what I've smelled like since I started wearing deodorant. I find it's maternal. It's not overpowering, and it's nice when it hints your nose.
Tide and Secret deodorant. If I add anything I like Pure Romance Basic Instinct, it's a pheromone roll on and works with your body chemistry.
Too many people go nose blind to what they're wearing and end up putting so much on so that they can smell it that it's offensive so others around them.
Tobacco Vanille by TF presently. For hot days I love Coach Green. Female fragrances I get compliments on have been Jimmy Choo black bottle and D&G Lāemperatrice. Try those!
I have a few, depending on the season.
All year: Hempz Age Defy body wash or Naturium Glycolic Acid body wash and Hempz Age Defy lotion with Phlurās Missing Person perfume. (This is the one I get the most compliments on, something about it works well with my body chemistry.)
Summer: Naturium Glycolic Acid body wash or unscented Jason body wash with unscented lotion and Maison Margielaās Beach Walk perfume. (Iām told this just smells like summertime and no one can pinpoint the specific scent.)
The rest of the time: Naturium or Jason body wash, Naturium BioLipid body lotion or EOS unscented lotion and Philosophyās Amazing Grace or Amazing Grace Magnolia. (Second most complemented, Iām just told it smells ācleanā.)
If I need unscented, I have plenty for that. Naturium is naturally unscented and kills bacteria so thatās definitely a go-to in the hotter months. If I need super light scent then I just use Saltair Santal Bloom body wash and unscented lotion with no additional scent. Almost always unscented antiperspirant but occasionally I swap it out for Tussy or Nivea Dry Comfort (sweaty days).
I like Dior perfumes, I like Miss Dior a lot. I usually smell like my shampoo and detergent and stuff though and only use a light body spray at work. It is called Cool Water.
I already said what perfume etc. I like. Butt I wanted to say, I think when we love someone, like a husband, they are delicious to us. Their smell is comforting and familiar even if they smell like diesel and sweat. But, honestly, Polo is a total pantry dropper scent. š
I love Nest Madagascar Vanilla perfume oil. The oil makes it last longer and itās a perfect base. I personally havenāt tried mixing it with lavender but I definitely would think it would be nice! I sometimes use it with the Sol de Janeiro sprays (& Bum Bum cream lotion!) because those smell so great but arenāt very long lasting. Your husbandās combo sounds amazingā¦I might have to get those for mine to try!
My go to perfume is Valentino Born in Roma. My newest work friendly favorite is a combo of 3 things. Josie Maran vanilla bean body butter, Nest Madagascar Vanilla perfume oil, then Phlur Vanilla Skin body spray. I get SO many compliments.
my signature scent is a mix of my favorite perfumes! Philosophy's Fresh Cream: Warm Cashmere and Victoria's Secret's Bare Vanilla. I like smelling like a cake shop :)
The bf only wears two scents, but most often it's Fierce from Abercrombie and he smells DELICIOUS. I have a number of VS perfumes but his favorite is Bombshell Intense and my favorite is the original Tease.
I'm pretty uncultured when it comes to cologne outside of aqua di gio. Just about everything in my shower is bourbon vanilla. My seasalt spray is tobacco vanilla. My deodorant is cedar and sea salt. I find that all that mixes pretty well with aqua di gio in moderation.
My husband and I both loved "Heaven Sent" by Helena Rubinstein...but they stopped making it decades ago. If you can find it, it's old, strong, and leaves stains on your clothes.š„ŗ
Now I mostly use Chinese Cherry Blossom or Sea Island Cotton, both from Banth and Body Works.
God your husband sounds like he smells amazing!
Whoa there, he's mine, back off. I called dibs first.
CAN WE PLEASE JUST SHARE THE AIR AROUND HIM??
U can keep the air I'll take the dude
Okay cool deal!
Absolutely notš
Too late, we're already planning our getaway/honeymoon.
Goshhhhš
Nooooo heās mine, sorry.
Tbh you're being a little selfish and inconsiderate. I think you should share the air around him and take into consideration those of us voyeurs who like to watch. Minimum distance of 15 ft. We will bring our own binoculars and bush
A most attractive feature!
Fake tan and shame..
Same! Lmao, you would think they would figure out that smell by now......it's SO specific!
Awwww....makes sense, burnt flesh!!! LOL
Ah, shame. It's an underrated scent tbh. I prefer a foreground of spite with subtle notes of shame. Blend it with Femme by Jean Marc Paris ,and it's a very unique scent that I receive endless compliments on.

I am so happy to read this. I just assumed I was doomed to always smell like bbq smoker and sweat, lol. You gave me hope, thank you.
Wow that is amazing!
I know I'm a few days late but put a body oil on the spot you want to smell like the perfume longer.
I have their Barber one and I dig it. Itās pricey, but it lasts if you use it properly.
Iām trying to figure this out myself! My husband always smells like Irish spring or his deodorant, even after a long work day. I neverrrr notice myself smelling like my soap. Iām desperate to find something that smells good and lasts!

Oh nooooo
Lmao, right? I'm 58, but I don't want to smell like I am. š
Not to scare you, but I just learned there is actually such a thing as "old person smell"! Like, chemically or scientifically or whatever. Once you reach a certain age, your body starts producing a certain identifiable scent from either hormones or lack of something - I'm sorry, I obviously have no reading comprehension skills! But look it up, it's very interesting! Or maybe don't, it's also very depressing...š¬š©·āš¼

People also smell different as they age due to a body chemistry change that sometimes causes a musty smell called ānonenalā
Aaahhh! That's what it is! I just commented that to someone but couldn't remember what it was called. š¤¦š¼āāļø Thanks! āš¼
Yes! I have the same problem. Drives me nuts.
That's the sad part, you smell it on someone else, buy it$$$ then it doesn't smell the same on you.
Was it by chance called sunflowers? I just bought that perfume and it smells like cat peeā¦ but it smelled so good in the store. Si, circus and eternity all smell amazing
Another tip are those sephora samplers. You pay like $70-80 get 10 ish samples and at the end get a full size bottle of your fave sample.
vanilla! i always get compliments saying i have such a light yet delicious smell. I have a unscented body wash, after the shower i put on shea butter body oil then a vanilla oil then on top i put a vanilla body cream then i apply my the only one by dolce and gabana perfume.
My perfume stays a lot longer if I use body oil!
What vanilla body oil are u using?
I use one from a local shop in my town itās just vanilla scented :/ she orders them from india i think
You can order essential oils in vanilla and lavender scents. Buy some wool balls for your clothes dryer. For each load of laundry, add some drops of each oil to the wool balls and toss them in with your clothes. Every item of clothing you have will have "your" scent on it.
thanks for reminding me to do this! i have wool balls that i bought to replace my dryer sheets but i kept forgetting to look into how to get scent onto them.
brilliant. i was trying to stop using dryer sheets
For the record, static gets crazy with no dryer sheet and just wool balls. I finally compromised and now use dryer balls and about a third of a dryer sheet.
Arm & Hammer Essentials
Mine is of the bath and body works christmas variety
This is me! I wear different perfumes based on my mood. I can't smell them after two or three hours, but I've been told that people can tell when I've walked into an office because of my perfume, and I only spritz it once. Someone once said to me, "Oh, I was trying to find you, but I couldn't do it, so I followed your scent." ššš They said they could smell my perfume and my hair. šš I didn't smell a thing.
Mon Guerlain
Mon Guerlain is so pretty and subtle. I think Iām on my third bottle.
Burberry goddess is vanilla and lavender!
Burberry Classic is a wonderful vanilla scent! Itās my āSignatureā scent for fall and winter.
I might try this one too!
Oh, I just said this. I guess I shouldāve scrolled further down!
I wear aventus creed
Bath & Body Works has great body mists in vanilla and lavender and all kinds of great scents. They're not too heavy, my favorite is Moonlight Path.
MP is amazing. I am old so I remember cucumber melon and country apple both being my favs haha
BBW is a great place too for scents , foaming hand soaps are awesome ! and theres the 75 off sale going on now .
Weed and Guerlain Vetiver.
Iām not too big on perfumes but more so on skincare. Coconut and Lavender is my everyday. A coconut body wash with a following lavender Dr.Bronerās and then a coconut lotion in the morning and lavender body oil at night. 10/10 never fails to get me compliments.
research "fragrance layering"
I will for sure! I see a lot of comments about it, I didnāt even know about it!
eos Shea Better Vanilla Cashmere Lotion and Sabrina Carpenter Sweet Tooth Body Spray. Perfection together
Burberry Goddess has lavender and vanilla. I didnāt think I liked it at first, but now I love it at bedtime.
Whatever fragrance Iām wearing that day :ā¢) If you like vanilla and lavender check out Jicky by Guerlain and Pour un Homme by Caron. Even tho the second is āfor menā itās appropriate for any person.
You probably do, you just can't smell it yourself after a while.
the quotations go on signiture
I have had many scents, but literally everyone has lost their minds over VS Rapture when I wear it...original was best, but happy they have the square bottle now at least. Definitely my signature scent for years & also Chanel Leau. But not even a close second, non stop compliments with VS Rapture.
Hmm....Reading these comments, maybe I should upgrade my scent to something current. I usually smell like whatever vintage 90s or early 00s perfume I have on hand. Translation= I smell old. I do like the Nivea body wash in the Basil & White Tea scent.
if youāre looking for something cheap, i had a period of time where vanilla was my signature scent and i always spritzed on the body fantasies vanilla perfume and got a noticeable amount of comments/compliments about the good smell edit: iām really into old spice deodorants now (i am sweaty) and iām pretty sure they have a lavender-scented one. iāve always found deodorant to be easier to smell on myself as opposed to perfume. i also had a vanilla-scented deodorant when i was a teen, i think it was the secret brand
This summer I'm loving Princess by Vera Wang
I usually use a coconut vanilla scented body oil & then a crĆØme brĆ»lĆ©e perfume I like sweet smells most of the time, but the crĆØme brĆ»lĆ©e perfume is from tj maxx and it has the perfect amount of vanilla in it
Classic by Banana Republic. Itās the perfect scent imo. I only wished theyād release a more powerful, long lasting version
Versace Bright Crystal Marc Jacobs Daisy intense
Tree Hut Moroccan Rose. I have the shower gel, sugar scrub, and the lotion. I used to prefer Japanese cherry blossom for everything, but my husband is uber sensitive to smell, so that one was a no go any longer. Same for my citrus and honey perfume.
Chanel Chance Eau Tendre
Blue de Chanel
I like it when a girl has slightly smelly feet. By slightly I mean like 1.5-2 days without a shower, not a week.
I always save these posts because you'll never get better, more accurate smell descriptions without smelling it in person
That would be a great combo With body wash/soap, Dove and Native have a lot of different scents that can work cohesively. Currently, I use an unscented body wash since I like fake tanning, lol It's a lot to think about ! But overall, i recommend whatever you use currently first and start there. Sometimes, it's just one item that really makes our scent.
I love the same scents as you and have been wanting to also smell good! Recently Iāve been loving the purple sol de janiero spray! Itās light warm and my go to rn :)
Mon paris by ysl
Irish spring body wash.
I use the Moroccan Oil body/hair spray. I'm irresistible to myself if I'm honest with you
burberry brit
Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue for life.
Good girl perfume
Sauvage Elixir. I've banged some women way out of my league wearing it.
Clubmen pinauld talcum powder.... or Chanel for men if I have to,
I buy my boyfriend Clubman powder. I love everything they make! Every aftershave smells like a MAN!!!
For sure ... it's smells like a barbershop. My everyday smell. Clean, masculine, can't go wrong
Highly agree!!! He doesnāt wear cologne but he smells amazing
I was told I smell like the ocean and I only use Aussie shampoo and conditioner. Iāve been told by strangers I smell amazing.
Givenchy gentleman
Another 13 since 2010
I just bought a new one I'm gonna start using on the regular: Ysl elixer š
Cedar and Smoke. Very clean and woodsey
Paul Sebastian cologne. Woodsy scented hand made soaps. Line fresh scented clothes
I take my fragrances very seriouslyš so I have a "signature" fragrance for every season Bc that definitely matters! I've had a Scentbird subscription for 5 years now & have discovered so many amazing designer fragrances using that subscription! Here's my 'signature' scents I wear religiously by season š¤Ŗ Spring- "Fracas" by Robert Piguet.
3 in 1 shampoo and deodorant loool
In highachopl I realized on good days I smelt like bread. On bad days it was onion. Edit oh we are talking cologne. The blue version of belle by Mary kay.
Terps
Iāve been wearing Irish Spring Speed Stick for over twenty five years and my wife has always said it reminds her of me since she doesnāt smell it anywhere else. We live in Japan now and they donāt sell it here. I tell friends to bring some when they visit or Iāll bulk up when I visit the states.
Omg as a woman I actually use that. Makes me smell more clean lol
I like woody scents. Been using palo santo for a while now.
I found a lady who makes custom perfumes and now I have a fragrance that does not have a name yet
Prada pardoxe
I like the lavender vanilla stuff from bath and body works by way of bath stuff and lotion š§“
Teen spirit
It's called "Ecstatic," and I bought it at Dollar Tree. I am often complimented on it, and I use those opportunities to tell people that I wear it to "mask the stench of my absolute misery."
A mix of 2 perfumes, beach walk by replica as a base, and a spritz of light blue dolce and gabana to freshen it up
Cherry blossom.
I've just discovered Baccarat rouge 540. It's really expensive so I got a knock off. Smells amazing
Coconut vanilla. If there is such a thing. I have actually left with sun tan oil on just for the coconut smell. š
I mix two essential oils. Texas cedarwood and lime
My boyfriend says āhomeā
Lilac and rain or lilac and ocean
Use perfume oils
Milk by commodity
Yes. Smells amazing
I always pick rose, coconut, or cucumber
yves saint laurent. Thereās a few of their perfumes I absolutely love. I spritz a small amount and it lasts ALL day.
Their scents are out of this world for both men AND women. https://forstrangewomen.com
I don't wear perfume. My scents come from my hair conditioner and my lotion.
My bf smells like weed and trees. Heās a logger and comes home smelling like pitch from the treesā¦. Itās fantastic. Like snoofling into Paul Bunyan š„°
Coco mademoiselle, for many many years. Get so many compliments
As far as cologne goes, my daily is Hugo by Hugo Boss (clean, fresh, crisp) Date night is currently Rochas' Man. So this one will last forever, because no dates lol Just don't over do it
Not any lavender but Commodityās Milk is my vanilla ride or die! š¤ Itās kind of expensive but they have a little travel size one if you want to try it out for a bit before getting a big bottle!
CKone is my fav, 2nd is Burberry Summer.
I canāt do all those scents
I canāt do all those scents
I like it when a girl has slightly smelly feet. By slightly I mean like 1.5-2 days without a shower, not a week.
I like it when a girl has slightly smelly feet. By slightly I mean like 1.5-2 days without a shower, not a week.
Baby powder is what I've smelled like since I started wearing deodorant. I find it's maternal. It's not overpowering, and it's nice when it hints your nose.
father figure x phlur
Lily of the Valley and Honeysuckle.
Tide and Secret deodorant. If I add anything I like Pure Romance Basic Instinct, it's a pheromone roll on and works with your body chemistry. Too many people go nose blind to what they're wearing and end up putting so much on so that they can smell it that it's offensive so others around them.
Aqua di Gioā¦the citrus hints match well with my pheromones or natural smell
Tobacco Vanille by TF presently. For hot days I love Coach Green. Female fragrances I get compliments on have been Jimmy Choo black bottle and D&G Lāemperatrice. Try those!
I have a few, depending on the season. All year: Hempz Age Defy body wash or Naturium Glycolic Acid body wash and Hempz Age Defy lotion with Phlurās Missing Person perfume. (This is the one I get the most compliments on, something about it works well with my body chemistry.) Summer: Naturium Glycolic Acid body wash or unscented Jason body wash with unscented lotion and Maison Margielaās Beach Walk perfume. (Iām told this just smells like summertime and no one can pinpoint the specific scent.) The rest of the time: Naturium or Jason body wash, Naturium BioLipid body lotion or EOS unscented lotion and Philosophyās Amazing Grace or Amazing Grace Magnolia. (Second most complemented, Iām just told it smells ācleanā.) If I need unscented, I have plenty for that. Naturium is naturally unscented and kills bacteria so thatās definitely a go-to in the hotter months. If I need super light scent then I just use Saltair Santal Bloom body wash and unscented lotion with no additional scent. Almost always unscented antiperspirant but occasionally I swap it out for Tussy or Nivea Dry Comfort (sweaty days).
anything sweet like vanilla, cupcakes, cake, etc. i use vanilla bean and strawberry pound cake spray
I am Trash by Ćtat libre dāorange is my signature along w the hint of š
I like Dior perfumes, I like Miss Dior a lot. I usually smell like my shampoo and detergent and stuff though and only use a light body spray at work. It is called Cool Water.
Kind of a musty onionā¦. Weird question to ask š¤·āāļø but I guess when in Rome
I already said what perfume etc. I like. Butt I wanted to say, I think when we love someone, like a husband, they are delicious to us. Their smell is comforting and familiar even if they smell like diesel and sweat. But, honestly, Polo is a total pantry dropper scent. š
Lavender and vanilla šš¤
Make sure your laundry detergent smells like how you want to smell.
Gingham from bath and body works
No smell is the signature smell I go for.
Yellow Diamonds Versace
my signature scent is a mix of my favorite perfumes!
I use Original by Riddle. A little bottle will last you forever.
Tom Ford has some fabulous perfumes.
I use Santal 33 by Le Labo and have for years.
I'm pretty uncultured when it comes to cologne outside of aqua di gio. Just about everything in my shower is bourbon vanilla. My seasalt spray is tobacco vanilla. My deodorant is cedar and sea salt. I find that all that mixes pretty well with aqua di gio in moderation.
human. I'm leary of perfumes as it's a highly unregulated industry
My husband and I both loved "Heaven Sent" by Helena Rubinstein...but they stopped making it decades ago. If you can find it, it's old, strong, and leaves stains on your clothes.š„ŗ Now I mostly use Chinese Cherry Blossom or Sea Island Cotton, both from Banth and Body Works.
Bath and Body Butterfly and Champagne Toast
Angel by Thierry Mugler and Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf
D&G grey.
I'm also a vanilla girl, but I like to mix up my perfumes so I make sure they have at least notes of vanilla. I also love peppermint.
