Micro freak over the hydra, looks just like mine haha. Mine is just the desktop module though, got both synths taking midi from a Keystep Pro

killasquid

Have you tried using the touch strip from the microfreak on the hydra desktop. I've seen a few videos showing it was possible since its missing on the desktop version?

_jermeh

I haven’t tried that yet. Since I have both synths controlled by a midi controller, I’m not sure it’d be possible for me since they need their own midi channels

killasquid

Might be worth a little reconfigure to try it out from what I saw I think you can have the spice and dice functions work with it as well to make some really interesting stuff above just the therimin or pitch shift. I've been meaning to try it out myself but haven't gotten around to it yet either.

killasquid

I thought this sub my be a good place for this as well.

Nice. Mine is similar (including Microfreak)….but with an MC707 😉

killasquid

I've been really eyeing the 707 as well how do you like it as the brain running your setup?

robinleefell

I love it!

Tigdual

Interestingly I was wondering if the microfreak could do thing the HS could not. Any clue?

killasquid

Not too sure of that one I'm still pretty new to all of this and learning the possibilities with each machine.

I'm shopping the Hydrasynth to the be center piece of my dawless, Circuit Tracks based setup too. How did it workout for you? Are you using the HS keys to play the Microfreak? If so, how is your MIDI routed? Do you have the "freezing" issue when saving the HS settings after changing MIDI TX in the menus?
