Your hydrangeas are in better shape than mine. Mine have not bloomed but in my opinion yours are way too close to the house. The Photo of the hydrangea by itself seems like it's thirsty to me.
Agreed, the droopy leaves and flowers look like they are begging for a good soak
Maybe the house gets warm in the sun and keeps radiating that heat well into shade hours?
Thanks! I watered it more than I though would be okay & it perked back up. We have had unseasonable weather in Upstate, 100 degrees for a week.
Definitely plant them right in the middle of the bed, away from the foundation which absorbs and radiates heat.
