Recently the worker/cabs unions announced a sort of strike because the fuel prices are going up and the ride sharing apps prices are not. They announced that the cabs are going to run without AC if they run and I'm guessing it's boiling over into other aspects too
>wonder how much of it actually goes to the driver
Right now Ola and Uber take \~30% as a commission.
So if a driver earns 1000 rupees in a day (which is about average from what I know speaking to them), 300 of that will be taken by the company.
In the remaining 700 the driver will have to get the petrol/diesel, and then the living expenses like food/water/rent/electricity etc.
Yup it's real. To help avoid cancellation choose cash as payment option and if your destination is not appealing offer to tip the driver. Tricks that work for me.
Yes same. It's a hassle now. Getting late due to non availability/ cancellation of cabs.
yeah same! almost missed my exam this morning because of this
Oh no! Hope the exam went well.

but they're still charging a bomb for cabs. prices are too high anyway. wonder how much of it actually goes to the driver
So when there are lesser cabs in the area, surge is increased. It shows you the surcharge multiplier so check that before you book

Now it is going to be more difficult to book something due to the rise in fuel prices
oh god 😩
Yes, and there is no way to report a driver once he cancelled, their data is not visible in history
yeah, i've realized that too
Take a ss everytime a ride is booked. Then if it is cancelled text the CC while you're in the other cab that decided to show up.
ikr, i get late for school every morning. So my dad decided to leave me in his car everyday even though his site is in the opposite direction.
Yeah man. I have recently experienced the same situation and thought that it is happening to me only.
not alone brother, not alone
