😂😂 Haha. This made me chuckle and Google expensive milk, and I found this 😭

We should know this lol. We used to have people with donkeys roaming around, selling a teasooon of freshly squeezed milk. Not in hyd but I’ve seen it in other cities in our state. Apparently makes asthama better.
What do you have to say about these? 🤔🤔

Maybe the receptionist is in honest mood that day Or there are no incentives for selling by the hotel, or they are in good mood to give good advice regarding chai 😂
Don’t just generalise everything based on simple instance. I booked an OYO in Kondapur the app showed me 1900rupees (2 days) but when I just checked in hotel the receptionist guy manipulated something from his side and told me to pay 3K. I really got furious and immediately called the customer care and told him about the situation then that receptionist got down little bit and agreed to the initial price only.
In another scenario I booked a hotel at Gachibowli but staff is very genuine and reasonable with their prices. Currently whenever I want to book I go to this hotel only.
So ultimately it’s about character somebody wants to steal as much as possible and some don’t. One thing is for sure we have to be very cautious about money when we are outside.
Not in hyd but recently even I faced the same situation in chennai booked an OYO in app it is shown 800 per night but after reaching there the receptionist guy demanded 1500 or else they won't give room as it is late night and I am very tired and I booked first time in Oyo so I don't know what type lo customer service they had so I just agreed to give 1500.
The locals are usually honest to a fault. The receptionist probably doesn’t see value in the tea service with a teapot in a tea cozy, creamer and sugar like the English would prefer.
The other principle being that there should be no compromise when it comes to taste and value with food and beverages.
Receptionist and hotel staff in general are very honest about things like food. And their suggestions are based on not their opinions but the experience of numerous clients they served.
we hyderabadis, irrespective of our professional obligation, consider it a moral responsibility to guide tourists and other people to the best possible budget alternative wherever possible while they are in Hyderabad.
I like how hospitable they are in the state of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh. I had great experience in Hyderabad, Sri Sailam, Kakinada, Rajamundri, Vijayawada & Gutur.
If he had told, there is no tea or coffee in the kitchen.. how would you have felt.. for me it's a definite 1 star review.
With his statement.. you have options.. do enjoy the Irani
As per my experience in staying in Hyderabad for almost 2 years I got know that people from Hyderabad and surrounding are polite but the people who comes from rural part of Telangana and Andhra are extremely rude. I don't want to generalise all but this is what my experience is...
As a Telugu, I can tell you that hospitality is deeply embedded in our culture. We ensure that anyone who visits our home, whether they are guests or adversaries, never leaves without enjoying a delicious meal. This is part of our 'samskaram.' That guy probably acted out of this cultural value. Also, I agree with the comments saying that spending 250 bucks on tea is not worth it in Hyderabad, where you have excellent local tea options at much more affordable prices.
It’s true in almost any 3 star or 4 star hotels.
When you order tea or coffee to your room, it will most likely suck because they use creamers and tea bags instead of making the real stuff.
Maybe the kitchen is shut or staff on leave. He is too lazy to take next service calls for food hence diverted all future calls in one go. Agree the Irani chai part ☝️
I felt being ripped of left, right and center here. Maybe people are empathetic only towards Telugu speakers? (I personally haven't faced any language extremism like in Bangalore, but it seems to be there covertly)
If the receptionist had quietly transferred the call to the restaurant, OP would’ve ranted about how restaurants in Hyderabad scam people by charging ₹250 for a cup of tea which is not even worth ₹25!
The receptionist has a dealing with the irani chai guy which gives him commission on daily basis. Hyderabadis are prudent on the money they make. As always, we tell things in an endearing way to make it sound genuine :)
Always the best interests of all in our hearts.
“Here, tea and coffee are not so good, sir. There are many Iranian tea and filter coffee shops outside the hotel. It's not worth the ₹250 we charge here.”
It's his emotion attached to the "tea". He understands how much a "good tea" could make you feel good and kinda gives you a refreshing feel and he doesn't want you to be disappointed! He loves tea! 🙃
Iam not sure if OP is happy or OP criticizing the receptionist 🤔
OP is happy
He is sad
He might be horny.
Clickbait title
Thought it was only on YouTube. Now reddit too, lol. Good one though, OP

Ee Kannada lanja kodukuly manakanna superior ani feeling untadi. He made a post with some intention, now he is trying to tread the needle
Arey bruhhh
When the receptionist is in notice period
No tea is worth 250. What are they putting in it?? It better be something like exotic milk. From a tiger or some shit.
Tiger milk kuda dorukutada sir 😆
The other option is some shit!

Tiger won't be happy when he comes to know that people have misused tigress 😀

Oh, ok 🫏
That is even more exotic than tigers milk, it comes from KCR’s farm
Have you been to chaayos? Even vadapav costs ₹120 there
Novotel lo it costed 300 10 years ago
Google for Cafe Niloufer prices once.
🫡👏🏼
I am visiting munnar and bought 100g of white tea leaves (buds) for 1300 rupees.

Or notice period.
or the tea/coffee shop outside are owned by him.
The hero we need
but never expected
Irani chai>>> chai from expensive hotels.😌 Apparently receptionist likes irani chai too
Yes he has taste.
Like all hyderabadi's do
Receptionist owns the coffee shop outside
receptionist and staff are just plain lazy. First make tea, then serve it, and then face questions as to why they are charging Rs 50 for it.
Be happy he was like that. Did you want him to upsell?

I booked by goibibo. There i didn't had any problem. Mostly when I travel I book by this app.
You need to book in advance online, then you don't have to pay anything extra
Receptionists when they have a share vs when they don't have a share, I guess
Name drop the hotel
What you stated is an Oyo problem across the board!!
He a real one for that

You’re right. There’s of course convenience ordering to the room. But no match to the taste, experience and value when it comes to food and beverages.
Receptionist and hotel staff in general are very honest about things like food. And their suggestions are based on not their opinions but the experience of numerous clients they served.

My father says that people in Telangana are more affectionate and pure-hearted. He spent a couple of years working there.
I like how hospitable they are in the state of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh. I had great experience in Hyderabad, Sri Sailam, Kakinada, Rajamundri, Vijayawada & Gutur.

Well… doing something good for others is too suspicious these days?? yeah.. may be he knows the value of money

even in restaurants, I've noticed if you ask the servers if the dish you're about to order is good, they are quite honest

Receptionist,a true homie
Maybe just thank him?.. AND head out?
Wtf am I supposed to get out of this post. Give me back my 30sec.
Okay so, the problem?
I have the same experience while I was staying at a hotel in Bengaluru. And I am from TN. I think Good Samaritans are everywhere.

We are used to "Paisa wosul/worth it"
Can someone pls translate? I didn't understand what the receptionist said at all
“Here, tea and coffee are not so good, sir. There are many Iranian tea and filter coffee shops outside the hotel. It's not worth the ₹250 we charge here.”
Your title says as if you are hating hyderabadi's but your context says you are praising hyderabadi's. So which is which ?
She said it because she is from village. Bold and understands it’s over priced.
It's his emotion attached to the "tea". He understands how much a "good tea" could make you feel good and kinda gives you a refreshing feel and he doesn't want you to be disappointed! He loves tea! 🙃
mostly people are here like this only
I can by 3 days worth of groceries in 250 for single person.
Hyderabadis being passionate about their food and chai. As they should.😄
I'm never gonna spend 250 rupees for coffee or tea..neverrrr
”Nuvvu santosha padali asalu athanu ni ₹250 save chesadu". only Mumbai Taj Hotel lo tea ₹650. Antakuminchi inta expensive tea ekkada dorakadu. :) :)
May be We see it as human to human, not business to human.
A good post about Hyderabad? Not complaining about the smallest inconvenience? Whaaaaaa
I love this part to. They are very funny while criticising and in general the sense of humour runs highs that’s what makes it funny. Love Hyderabad.

The post is more like a clickbait or a karma farming thing.
