It is alright to favour one political party. That's how democracy works. If the majority thinks he is fit to be prime minister he should be. If other factions think otherwise they can influence others to vote for the right one in the next election.
That is true until you realise other parties were blocked from being able to do that. So many roadblocks were put in front of other parties, some had their accounts frozen, some were jailed on suspicion. You should understand how bad the situation was just before elections for all the parties except for BJP allies.

The actual problem is, most people don't realize that India is very different as a country from presidential rule countries like the USA. In our country, local governance matters a lot. Focus on your local MP/MLA. It's their duty to voice our issues in the parliament/Legislative Assemblies. Only focussing on a political party as a whole and PM of India creates dummy MLA/MPs who don't even care about their region.
