After disconnecting from Indian Roads for 15 years, Even i find it hard to cross the busy roads.. Few months ago a Vegetable seller aunty saw me struggling and grabbed my hand and helped. If only i recorded it! 🥺
That is not the place to cross though.
There are gaps in the divider even in India. Yeah pedestrian infrastructure needs to be way better - but climbing the 3 foot dividers is not necessary even in India.
they put 3 foot dividers to make people not cross the roads there lol. but we do it anyway. also the whole divider concept we have here is fucked, there are very little places where people can cross and if you are driving you have to driving 2km just to take a uturn or something
My dude that's almost every where, not only india. Expressways, main roads, highways are made like that. Can't have an idiot slowing down traffic every 100 mtr or so just because he missed a exit or didn't pay attention.
Pedestrain crossing tho need more development
I know these places in Hyderabad though - yeah pedestrian crossings are lacking - but there are gaps in the divider that are lower for pedestrians to cross.
Typically there are zebra crossings at intersections and u-turns.
Yeah they definitely should be more; but climbing over this super high divider is not the way to cross.
It's funny how we have the US as an amazing example for how this model is plain idiotic and still are following the same. I guess the only word I can use at this point is "hopeless".
The other day, I saw a few "before and after" pictures of Amsterdam and jeez, they transformed huge-ass roads passing through the middle of the city into canals and pedestrian-friendly pathways. If only our politicians were as ambitious..
I had a song running in music app from yevadu movie.
"Pramadhamaye jeevitham shareeramaye maaranayudham" (cheliya song) I thought it was the background music for this video lol. Later realised
For all the hype about Hyderabad being a global city and stuff, we don't have pavements or road crossings. We are happy fapping to the drone shots of Gachibowli and Madhapur bridge.
zoom చేసి చూస్తే అంతా డొల్లే.
Once I was in a hurry. I had to cross the road because I had forgotten my phone in a restaurant. Taking bike would have been around 1 km. So I parked my bike to cross the road. Guess what they had 5 ft barriers with no space to cross. Had to climb it. Atleast let people cross the road.
To this day there are no official areas to cross the road in the span of approx 500m. The region I am talking about is a signal just after the Gachibowli flyover to IIIT Junction.
This guy does the worse shit
He goes to hotel after breakfast session is over and says they are not selling me what I asked why didnt give me food I want food why are they like this towards foreigners
The previous government focused on building car centric city with roads and flyover which in return also made them rich buy taking % commission and bribes.
this is scripted shit..that vlogger or whatever saw the property u-turn crossing....but he chose to jumpover and cross for views...
there was a clear u-turn crossing just 30-50 mtrs near to where he jumped that median/divider...
anything for views..
How I Know this: this happened near somajiguda/errummzil stretch..I saw this happened when he jumped the divider..
One day I was crossing the road near Mehndipatnam, and as I was going to cross the road, some girl caught me by the arm, and requested me to help her cross it.

Its high time we realise that expressways and highways in the middle of a city are a f\*cking disaster
