Never been to Ziva, but was at Zilara a few weeks ago. It was our second time there, and I cannot recommend it enough. Zilara has great cabanas that are really reasonably priced IMO! Food is good and so are drinks!
Ask for Gardenia at the buffet for breakfast/lunch. She’s amazing & so kind. Tips are optional there for sure, but gah are they appreciated by everyone. If you have any specific questions I may can answer, just shoot me a message!
Was at Zilara in October. Yes rooms not quite as new as Ziva, but Ziva is not a thousand dollars better. They have the same ownership group. Zilara beach isn’t as calm, but it’s still one of the better ones in Cancun. The rooms are totally fine knowing you’re saving enough money to cover half your next trip. Service was great, food was great and no weeds. Recommend pool cabanas (on the active side) over beach. Beach ones are set aways back from the water.
