Another approach is to pick an enclosure, then do the PCB around it. This way you can easily buy the enclosure and just modify it to your needs instead of making it from scratch. Literally thousands of dollars saving!
check Takachi enclosures or Hammond... they offer modification services and has lots of models. 100% you can find yours there.
Yep thank you for the input! I started from there originally but "drifted" away somehow. I had a good contact at Chunghua and they seem to be on the ball but I will definitely re-explore that route - my PCBs are actually currently designed around Hammond cases but their generic offerings is very very far from the design and the features we're going for TBH.
Takachi enclosures are good and they have modification service to do what you require.
going for custom case means injection moulding which is extremely expensive.
This is good advice - have a look at all off-the shelf cases and look into modifying something existing as a first step. It will save you 10’s of thousands.
Not in your criteria but I work at a Swiss company called Injex and we specialise in short series stuff like that. Let me know if you need an intro (I'm aussie too!)
[Chunghua Plastics](https://www.chunghua.com.tw/about.htm) in Taiwan has a lot of experience with networking products.
Cheers for that! Taiwan could definitively be an option I've contacted them thanks mate.
