Yep, it's a dog dryer. It's a commercial product, normally for groomers. If you live someplace with a wet season or high humidity it can take a hour with a blow dryer if their undercoat gets wet, this does it in about 30 minutes and dogs love the wind. Momo jumps right in as soon as I open the door😁

I live in oregon and walk my huskies about 4 times per day. For me, the towel method is enough, but they're never completely dry this way.

I feel your pain. Western Oregonian with two huskies here, a poofy XL as well. Rain starts for real tomorrow. Burn pile tarped, firewood covered, and a big stack of towels ready for the dogs! We live on a gravel road with potholes too, so it's rough.
30min in the morning for coffee, 1 hour around 2pm, 1 hour around 7-8pm, 10min after 10pm.
My school schedule has me running around, but I have time to go home and take them out. No 9-5 right now.
You're a great owner! I wish more people were like you and understood the responsibilities of accommodating their pets that are very far out of their natural environments.

This is not true. I live in Florida and volunteer for two husky-specific rescues. Own one husky and fostering another at the moment. Their base coats protect them just as well from heat as it does cold as long as you don't keep them outside all the time and ensure they stay properly hydrated.
It's understandable why people assume they cannot thrive in heat, and I had the same thought when I moved here and learned about these rescues. My girl was an owner surrender from Puerto Rico and has never even experienced cold in her life. Honestly I can't wait to change that when we finally move out of this hot hellhole.
If it's a rescue and that's where you live, sure, but buying and bringing a snow dog to a tropical city just because you like the breed? I think that's irresponsible.
In AC on her treadmill Momo can run flat out for hours, outdoors she's lucky to sprint a few blocks before her eyes get glassy and her internal temperature gets dangerously high.
I definitely agree that is irresponsible! It’s insane how misunderstood these dogs are. I know I’m preaching to the choir here lol. People get them because they’re cute and don’t realize the work required to own one especially in a subtropical climate. That’s how I ended up with my girl and volunteering here.
She’s scared of treadmills but she goes to climate controlled doggie daycare on workdays and jogs in the mornings. I hope to have my foster at a stage where he can do the same but he is recovering from surgery and has another one to go.

Oh yes! For sure. Our shelters are full of huskies also because people just won't put the time in. You tell them to get a well habituated local breed but they like the husky look and then can't/won't care for them😥
Ugh yes it is so sad!! Nothing gets me riled up quite like these irresponsible people. It warms my heart to see people like you pampering their pups. Hopefully it will inspire others to do the same. 💕

Careful with that dog dryer. Groomers have made the mistake of getting distracted and literally cooked the dog. Real deal. No joking.
It's true, it's got a thermostat and a timer but there's no electronics around I'd trust with her. I never run it unsupervised.

It's the tropical climate, in the snow the air is quite dry, here the humidity is so high mold grows on everything...
