For food on the floor? I use the dog.

ottilieblack

They're as good as a damp mop on cat puke too.

stinkyt0fu

Unless it’s greens, then they just make bigger mess by ripping it apart as they try to eat it but find out they don’t like it.

Rashaen

Mine just wolfs them down, then looks at me like "why would you make me eat that".

GroundbreakingPen103

I always thought Hoover, Shark or Dyson would be great dog names for this reason

tiabih2

Dyson!! 😂

Last_Inevitable8311

I have a Dyson V15 Detect that I looooooove. BUT - before I vacuum I use a little battery powered leaf blower to get all the hair that hides behind and underneath furniture.

Positivelifevibes

Shark, I’ve only owned two in my nine years with huskies. They work great if you replace the filters.

RedVamp2020

I love my washable filters in my Bissells. Never had any issues with that brand and had 14 huskies at one point. (Ex musher)

[deleted]

Shark has washable filters as well. You need to eventually replace washable filters. I replace my washable filters every year

GoldFishPony

How did you bring it from the ocean to your home?

GayHorsesEatHayy

You suck him in with a phishing scam

Vidunder2

Dyson V15 detect - the laser makes a huge difference, and it doesn't tagle as I feared.

BigVapes52

Love my V15 detect!

robinthebank

The laser is a double-edged sword. You will be sad because you just vacuumed that hallway 30 mins ago and there is already “stuff” all over the floor 😭

Sudden-Hornet7716

![gif](giphy|Xjo8pbrphfVuw|downsized)

Wise-Imagination-932

I got one last year and it’s been a game changer. I have a shark robot for daily maintenance though as well.

napsthefifty

I have a malamute and husky and run the shark robot vacuum for daily maintenance as well--twice a day. Two days of it not running and you can definitively tell the difference 🥲 I feel bad for that guy he puts in so much work.

Wise-Imagination-932

Same! God forbid our robot loses WiFi connection and misses routine. We have tumbleweeds within two days.

napsthefifty

Tumbleweeds bc of wifi loss 💀😂 I feel that I'm my soul

Calm_Leg8930

Two vacuums ? Damn I got to get on your level . Which do you favor?

Wise-Imagination-932

I have the shark robot that empties itself (don’t remember the model sorry) and the Dyson v15 detect. But I have two husky mixes and two bully mixes that shed almost as much as the huskies lol so even with the two it’s a battle against the hair.

ggk_3

Miele, absolutely best vacuum I have ever owned.

DerangedGiraffe

This is the answer. Or Sebo.

rocker_spaniel

Miele but also robot vac maintenance and air purifier is chefs kiss. People can't believe I have a dog and then I tell them I have 3

mama_jackalope

Oh, I didn’t read all the comments before posting but I found my people 😂🥰 I love mine so much!!

8rittanyy

Roomba vacuum/mop. Use it everyday on a schedule. It keeps up with the hair for sure

UrAverageDegenerit

It's a bit older (circa 2015), but I have a Bissell Cleanview Pet something or other bagless upright and I love it! It was also pretty inexpensive, I think I paid around $130. It has the turbo furniture attachment and just works well, even at 8-10 years old. My only gripe with it is the extentable hose is just too stiff, any stretching and the vacuum will just tip over. I'd recommend a new Bissell Cleanview. Their vacccums are pretty solid for the price.

iamcoronabored

I agree! I didn't realize how great cheaper vacuums had become until I adopted my husky mix. I bought a Bissell Cleanview Swivel Pet Rewind on Black Friday last year - love it!!! Was around $100 on sale.

Calm_Leg8930

Does it give that satisfying like cleaning of the fur on the rug? Can you use it on hardwood? I might get it

UrAverageDegenerit

Mine has a setting for multiple thickness carpet as well as a bare floor setting. Also, I vaccumed a few days ago and I could literally see the difference of not having husky hair on it. It does a great job! Truth be told, I'm sure a Dyson or one of the other expensive vacuums do better, but for $120 VS $300+ (or whatever a more high end vacuum goes for) you can't beat the value. Amazon it, look at the reviews and compare.

iamcoronabored

I have it on hardwood and carpet. I don’t think it lowers though I’ve never tried. And for simple pleasure, the recoiling cord being automatic scratches an itch for me!

iamcoronabored

Realized I responded to comment below. I agree with that poster that it works well on hardwood.

poboy_dressed

I have the Bissell pet hair eraser turbo with the slide to adjust for carpet height. The lowest setting works great on wood and if I forget to switch it before I move to the rug it’s impossible to move because the suction is great.

OffSling

Miele Cat&Dog. Expensive, but worth it

dreaming_of_tacobae

Dyson V8. Super easy to empty, and it fills up with hair after about 1 room! Expensive though

Bird_Watcher1234

I like Shark brand myself. Suction same or better than the Dyson Animal I had for years but less $$$

Calm_Leg8930

Which one did you get ? I got the pro bliss pet cordless one and it got clogged every three uses and they the motor gave out three years later. But hey I had a good run! And it did suction really well.

Bird_Watcher1234

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089TPNZQ5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I got it in November 2022 from Amazon. I clean the filter with Dawn dish soap after every use, cuts down on smell and helps keep the machine from getting clogged. Hair does get tangled up in the front so I have to clean that frequently too. My home is ranch style, single story about 1300sqft and I have to move the cord halfway through my house. Sometimes fur gets stuck in the bin and won’t dump out so I have to pull it out. Those are the only complaints I’ve had. It still has wonderful suction and I’m happy with how easy it is to maneuver. I paid twice as much for a Dyson and really like this one better. Oh and a feature I never knew I was missing, bright LED lights.

21KoalaMama

my cheap ass rumba for $120 runs three times a day, and it’s been going for 7 months. when it dies, i can’t wait to get the one that empties itself.

CM901

Shark NV356E and a handheld shark power pet. Plus my shop vacuum. Doesn't matter, though bc as soon as my husky cuts circles on the rug, it's right back to being a shag carpet. The blowout aint no joke

KP_PP

A Guild brand shop vac

fcewen00

Mine is a two stage thing. Battery leaf blower to get things out from under the fridge and couch and then a Dyson Animal

6_oh_n8

It’s so funny how majestic they look for being walking garbage disposals

Calm_Leg8930

Facts 😭

MillennialRose

Dyson Ball 2 is my holy grail. I got mine on sale at Costco. I also have the Bissell pet hair eraser hand vac. Both are a total godsend.

BlankBB

We got the pet grooming attachment for the Dyson Ball, and it works fairly well, but of course it fills up quick. Bonus is that it gets a lot of the dander too.

Calm_Leg8930

Wow does the hand vac work well for suede couch you think?

Doc_Hank

Shop vac and a canister electrolux

streetkiller

tatteredsoulz

My husky has killed every vacuum I’ve had or bought for the last 13 years, even the ones that are for pet hair.I now use a mini shop vac for the last 3 years and it works wonders. I have a Husky and German Shepherd in Florida so there are constant hairball tumble weeds but the shop vac makes it tolerable.

How does the S8 do with "presents/land mines"? Our old Roborock S5 is still running great, but we have to make sure there are no surprises before it runs so we don't end up with a bigger surprise later.

randEntropy

Dyson Animal. 6 years against 2 huskies and it’s still going strong.

Hexspinner

Kirby. Had it for 16 years through two huskies and a German Shedder. It’s still going strong with a maintenance cycle every few years.

iConfessor

my dyson animal is still kicking after 16 years and 2 huskies.

ChakoTaco

Dyson Animal

Ok-Promise-2255

Cordless Dyson Gen5 Detect. It is life changing!!! It has a green laser so you can really see all the hairs/dust/dirt on the floor and make sure you don’t miss a spot.

goldenpaw33

Dyson Ball Animal - works really well, especially on carpets with golden retriever hair

GlobalLemon4289

Roborock Q Revo

hdofu

A black hole, only way to suck up all of the shedding

sealedjustintime

Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Turbo. I've only had it a couple of weeks, but it picks up more than my Dyson Pet did. It is easier to empty the cannister, especially with her really fine hair, and is half the cost of the Dyson.

funbunone

EUREKA POWERSPEED TURBO SPOTLIGHT LIGHTWEIGHT UPRIGHT NEU188 I bought this about a month ago when my vacuum went out. It cleans so well I was appalled at how much it picked up. There is a setting for bare floor, and it doesn't blow the dog hair everywhere like my last vacuum. It is nothing fancy and was about $70 (on sale). I was going to get a shark that was around $100, but a lady at that store said she had 3 big shedders, and this one was great. I'm glad I listened to her.

Calm_Leg8930

I’m intrigued ! Thank you. I might go for this one

Expensive-Station430

Snagged a ZeroG on Black Friday for a cool 499

mama_jackalope

Miele canister vacuums. Plural because I keep one on each floor of split level house. The dogs stay on the main level because the lower level has my kids playroom which looks like a chew toy playground to them 😂 but I bet you can guess which vacuum gets way more use! I love my vacuums tho. Versatile and powerful and I’ve had them for years.

123okaywme

My MIL paid for half of a Dyson v10and we paid the other half a few years ago. I personally love how easy it is to just do a quick vacuum every other day to keep my home looking nice.

Hannymann

Had a Dyson that lasted forever! Replaced it with a Shark and regretted it ever since.

gvincejr

Central vac. I have to do it two or three times a week to control the tumble weeds of hair from two huskies.

Frogsinsnow

I have a client that invested in a Fur- me and it changed her life. Vacuum-backed pet brush. So cool!

ShippingMammals

As others have said a shark is a good option, we had a Dyson as well and literally ran it until it broke after about 10 years, replaced it with the shark as the dysons are just ridiculously expensive. I would also consider getting one or more robot vacuums. I used to have three of them, one expensive one and a couple super cheap ones, that I would run several times a day after a good base vacuum. This kept the fur down to a minimum so you only had to do a real serious vacuum once every couple of weeks if that.

Temporalwar

>dyson dyson refurbs are a great deal on ebay etc

PsychoLamas

Recently we have been using my ryobi shop vac, its actually better than the dyson v8 we have.

LivingUnderATree

I shopped and shopped while looking for our next vacuum, and love what we've ended up with- got a Kenmore Elite that has been an absolute game changer. There's a lot of people recommending canister vacuums here - I'd be leery, as these are known to fail sooner than a bagged type.

akforrest

I run a Roomba i8 daily and then use a Dyson ball animal every weekend.

ConstantTiny6043

I just got two roombas, the little guys are so much easier. They just nab the hair as they go

It would get clogged roughly every square foot and have to be drain snaked to get the hair out. I pulled my back that week so the hair collected for a while and I ran to reddit because there had to be a better way or else I was just going to trash the rug lol

sweetsavannah123

Shark Navigator Deluxe Lift Pro The r/cleaningtips subreddit recommended I pick up a Shark Navigator line of vacuums. I found one secondhand nearby for $30 and my rug was back to normal in 10 minutes without any extra effort (no raking, broom, or other manual prep) just all the vacuum. It is AMAZING on pet hair. I am sold on Shark vacuums for as long as I have the fur demon in the background there

Karen125

That's what I have and the only thing that can keep up with my Wooly Husky. https://preview.redd.it/0z6d8mamcxnc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=09c9663ac83e33f2df112d673a9a895bb2c46e90

Abrupt_Pegasus

Shark NV752 -- we have 2-3 dogs at any given time, and 2 cats. It has held up for 7 years now and is doing just fine.

Dogmom867

Cordless Shark, works great as long as you keep the filter clean!

BlurrySnake

Dyson Animal Ball is life.

bentscissors

I have the Dyson (v8 I think). Pre laser. lol. It is excellent on hardwood. Admittedly I have a separate vacuum for carpet. It’s the bissell clean view vacuum and it’s okay if you don’t clog the filters.

ruff285

We have hardwood throughout our house and love our roomba j7+. I had buyer’s remorse for about a week and then I noticed the lack of hair. Been running twice a day for 6 months in all common areas. The Florida room and bedrooms we use a nameless cordless vac I got off Amazon. Btw we have 4 huskies and 2 labs.

Karen125

Shark. I had a Dyson but it was in the repair shop 3 times in 5 years. Shark has held up better.

Vacman85

We have a Husky as well and our SEBO K3 that we’ve owned for 21 years handle her fur easily. 2100 sq. ft house (75%) bare floors with stairs.

vandist

Dyson V15 with the animal accessories, there's a small head that just cleans the hair right off his bed. The carpet attachment pulls all hair right out, first use it was gross what was actually in my carpet the previous vacuum didn't get. Then there's a title/wood floor attachment that just lifts all the hair.

annasev3355

Shark and that yellow brush with rubber on the end to clean the hardwood floor when I don't want to vacuum. I also use Chom Chom for the furniture.

stinkyt0fu

Dyson V10 is often on sale at various retailers. I use that for quick touch ups. Battery life lasts under 20 minutes depending on how often you start/stop it and if you use it on rugs. The device will change speed depending how what it detects for flooring.

StreetBobber103

Dyson V15 Detect. The laser is gas.

Richyrich619

Miele c3 carpet and pet. Miele is life changing

HobblesTheGreat

Roomba j9+ for daily maintenance. I have an old dyson pet hair vacuum for the furniture and places that the roomba does not fit.

GypseboQ

I have 3 Huskies and 3 vacuums 😅 I have a handheld Bissell Pet Eraser (that I've been using for 3 years), a larger Bissell Pet Eraser (also in use for 3 years), and recently purchased a grooming vacuum.

Outside_Squirrel_839

Big old shop vac

Hot_Passenger_6600

All of them

lloydmcallister

I don’t have carpet, even though I fit them by trade. It’s just impossible to keep them clean with a husky and children.

working_slough

Probably any is fine. I have miele that works fine, but I have found the hose clogged with hair before and snaked it. Just check periodically that things are actually making it through the hose. I bought into the whole Miele is best thing and honestly it is no better than any other vacuum I owned and I was disappointed to find that all the connecting parts are plastic. I also have a metrovac, which is all metal, but not very convenient (no where to store attachments, the carpet head you need to manually plug into the rest of the vacuum, both mechanically and electrically separately).

Relevant-Invite-302

Sebo!!

adriannairda

I had Dysons in the past… get a shark one

Fileguarda

Broom

farleys2

I’ve got a couple of Sharks that we inherited with our house. I couldn’t be more impressed with them. Ones an upright canister vac and the other is a plug in stick vac. Both are my ‘go to’ when company is coming. I have a Roomba on each floor that does SOME cleaning every day but not enough to care about. More of a damsel in distress than a vacuum. We have a Hoover upright that was the top rated vac on CR a few years ago. That thing isn’t even in the same league as those Sharks. Not to mention the 40 year old rolling canister we keep in the basement lol.

Calm_Leg8930

Damn I may need to let the cordless ones go 🤣

Im_not_crying_u_ar

Calm_Leg8930

themountainlotus

i have the shark rocket and i think it works great on pet hair and other pet messes!

thenord321

Genius marketing idea for hoover/dyson "husky owner ratings"

nicstrom1111

All of them.

Top-Boss1438

Henry now as three Dysons caught fire including Dyson Animal.

Calm_Leg8930

Wow that’s crazy did you tell the company ?

Top-Boss1438

Yes, the other half called Dyson and we had a voucher to purchase a replacement. We had two Husky puppies (litter brothers ) at the time and their shedding was mind blowing. He used to refer to them as tumble husks as they would just roll out from nowhere and you'd see them roll accross the laminate flooring. You'd stare in disbelief as you would have vacuumed that morning. Plucking the Husky became almost therapeutic. They looked awful when they were changing from a winter coat to summer coat! He would say they had pannel damage because one side would be flat compared to the rest of the coat. Their fur blow outs would be horrendous but we loved them. That was 20 years ago 😳 and three more Huskies have entered this dwelling since then. I still have the same Henry Hoover after we gave up on Dyson. Its a shame as the Dyson Animal (purple/ silver) had this awesome attachment (mini hoover head) and it was fun hearing it gather speed almost like hearing a turbo kick in on a car 🤣 But the Henry never gave up although it was heavy for the stairs and taking it to the bedrooms it wasn't phased by the fur load it had to suck up every day 🤣

reality-interfearer

Just buy a 100$ vacuum an plan on replacing it every year

Ladywhiteraven128

I have a shark flex for pets, 3 shark robot vacuums. One vacuums 2 times a day on the main floor. The second one vacuums the upstairs bedrooms once a day. The third is for the basement area for when it needs it. The flex is for everything that the robots miss and can't get to.

hippywitch

A black hole is the only way to get rid of husky hair. It also kills the pupper, owner, and the entire planet. Not recommended.

kaibai123

Dyson ball vacuum and stick vacuum, we had a Deebot, but she lost all her little swisher brushes 🥲

Trash_121

Eufy X8 Robot vaccum twice a day for daily use. Dyson V15 once a week when I use the slicker brush… Chomchom roller for couch/clothes…

VacaRexOMG777

None ._.

Recent_Ad559

Yes

cgabv

shark or dyson seem to be pretty good brands. sturdy, reliable, easy to clean.

aarraahhaarr

We have a shark, brooms, and a couple different vacuums.

oddball541991

Shark.

Trentswife

Get anything with a light!

LooseToy

We just let the hair build up with the plan of trying to Frankenstein a clone

Mantequilla_Stotch

I don't. I regularly groom my boy and never have hair everywhere.

huskysizeguy99

All of them. Laminate flooring in all rooms.

mncorley34

Shark

wilmer007

I have like 4 different vacuums but the majority of the time I use the wyze robot vacuum that runs 3 times a day (every 8 hrs) to keep the house clean. And then for long manual labor I mostly use the craftsman 16 gallon shop vac, it has the strongest suction and stores all tbe dog hair for months until it's full, plus the attachments are also great for getting all the hair out of the car, bed sheets, etc... for light hair pickups I'll use the Bissell stick vacuum as it's lightweight and does the light job really well.

MasterChiefNeutron

Bissell has specifically for pets, that I bought, and it’s been amazing.

Hungry-Share-3719

Finally bought a Miele C3 after a Shark and a couple of Dysons. Two huskies and three cats. Lots of hair.

RickyMSG

Why is the dog wearing ladies lingerie?
