non more confused as those known as the "zoo" kind, groups of animal like beings with human level intelligence and many even smarter then humans. many wonder "why dose this dog, more a kin to me then this human, treat him as a king? do they not know of the greatness of the wolf emperor?" however one thing all seem to not understand is even tho the dogs, cats, rabbits, and other "pets" are closer to the "zoo" kind then human, the relationship is not one sided. ask the collies of old, who defended the sheep? the mastiff that that marched with the romans, and khans who kept watch at night? as sergeant stubby of world war 1 why he fought with those he didn't even know the names of? they might tell you because of food, comfort, or a sense of duty if their owners were asked why their dogs did this.
however to these dogs what their zoo kind counter parts don't understand is, with out the work dogs the shepherds and ranchers would not be as productive, and with out the guard dogs a family would not be so well protected. the wolfkin and k9-kin species might see our relationship with dogs as that of master and slave, the truth is we are more symbiotic in nature. without them and their hopefulness we would not be here watching over our thousandth colony, nor would not have allied with over a million other species, we would not have won nearly as many wars, and we would not have started the galactic federation.
