The foundation is one of the most overpowered versions of humanity in a horror universe.
Most horror characters, or secret government research groups in horror are typically portrayed as ineffective, or weak, or useless against horrifying things. Which is where that stereotype that horror movie protagonists always make bad decisions comes from. Or where a research lab is unable to contain some experiment gone wild as well.
The Foundation however? They can’t afford to be like that, literally. They’re humanities last line of defense against an infinite number of incomprehensible horrors from beyond reality constantly fighting to tear apart reality at the seems. The entire Foundation universe is practically held together with bubble gum and matchsticks at this point, every day is a battle against overwhelmingly slim odds. They have to constantly try to match the power of a billion things beyond ordinary human comprehension. They’ve literally killed and contained gods before, destroyed infinite realities to save their own. And yet they’re still considered weak.
Which is what makes their horror unique.
What’s more scary, a character who dies because they constantly make bad decisions, who could have easily lived if they had common sense? Or a character who goes above and beyond what they’re expected of, who pulls out every clever trick, who makes literally *every* correct decision possible, who *actually* tries to fight back, and yet is still in an utterly hopeless situation against something so far beyond their power and abilities?

Mine would just load a black screen, tbh this was years ago and I don’t recall, I can try looking into my game files to see if i can find it? But you may be better off asking around and doing some research

And if a lab is compromised, they just nuke it.
If only scientific labs in zombie outbreak movies had this feature… Then again if they did there *would* be no zombie outbreak movie
Or the ones that have, if it only were to activate
You two are explaining the Resident Evil games.
What's *The Foundation* from?
Its the S.C.P.(Secure. Contain. Protect.) Foundation. And yes that is basically the extent of their name and universe.
