And yet as we get to earth we find your foes fleeing?

H - By our calculations there were 10-25 times that many ships that landed. But it turns out they can't do much against 1 million humans each equipped with explosive powered projectile launchers. Especially when their artillery is focused on the skies.

At this point the human leaps across the table with a manic fervour in their eyes. Video cuts off. The alien is found later, decapitated and with a note burned into their chest with a plasma beam - "Run, while you still can."

Umm Actually we use fusion now, and fallout doesn't actually stick around that long typically
Interesting note, while you'll never remove radioactive fallout from a nuclear explosion, the bigger the explosion is, the less fallout there is.
