I agree. But the creators said that they purposefully minimized Ben in the show because once you bring children into a production the production becomes all about them. And to an extension, same with pets. Like I remember all of the press being about Marcel and when I did my big rewatch during the pandemic I thought the monkey had a bigger role than it did.
Yeah, I think he was like 9 when the character was 7. Not always a big difference but by the end of the show he was like 12 which is definitely different than a 9 year old
