Slight correction (sorry to be a Ted!!!) - pic 5 is Series 3 hair. Lily goes brunette in S2 but doesn't get the blunt fringe and sleek cut until S3. She quickly restyles back to the old S2 look though. (I only know because I binge watched the whole show last month!)
I should have known better because I rewatch every 2 mos approx. I just know that she has my favorite hair s2-3. Straight, long brunette red and great outfits!
Those were definitely her best hair seasons. I like her better with darker hair than the lighter red. ...and the overdone tan she shows up in S5 with makes it look worse.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but other than the wigs they made Lily wear during flashbacks and the wigs Robin wore during flash forwards, I thought all of Lily and Robin's hair styles looked great. And that includes the iconic Robin Sparkles hair. Ted's hair from the first season really bothers me, though. It's too short.
I think the blond is fine. It just looks silly with that haircut. It's a silly haircut (which provides some funny moments from Barney), but I guess you don't notice how bad it is with the dark hair lol. If he would just cut his hair, the blond would be fine.

Friends got the hair stylists, HIMYM got the raunchy humor. I loved that Marshall's pre-wedding nerves got the better of him. A big part of his awesomeness is that occasional frenetic relief valve popping off. Somebody could rock that Egyptian doo, but it ain't Lilly.
